We ended having to do a complete site restore from a back-up.

This was a very messy update!

I sent an email to contact@tagdiv.com with information. I need to get back to the previous version of Newspaper since we are stuck on PHP Version 7.3.25.

PHP Version 7.3.25 is where we are at. I cannot update the PHP on this server at this time.

I sent an email to support.

I am in the same shoes. It would be nice to get ahold of the previous version and do a manual restore back to the previous version.

No, not anymore… you need to be sure you are connected to Instagram API. In the theme panel go to SOCIAL/APIS and make sure you have authorized the theme to connect to the API using a Personal or Business Account.

We are using it in the global settings for the footer. You have to have both setup in the Theme Panel for it to work. Footer: Instagram Settings

Sorry but after removing from the theme panel footer “Instagram Settings” and clearing the cache it still is not working. The link appears but the rendering of the block does not work with post photos.

Now we are talking about 2 different things. This issue is not with adding an Instagram Element to a template in Newspaper.

The Instagram footer that is hard coded into the template that is selectable in the theme panel still does not work.

Out of curiosity, why would it the count increment stop in the backend if disabled on the front end? Seems like a bug?

The issue is IF Post Settings SHOW POST VIEWS is SET TO DISABLE:

Then The Post Counts in ADMIN no longer work in WordPress Admin and increment on post views.
