I have the same problem and it has nothing to do with the background colour. It’s just not displaying the Mailerlite HTML code.

Hi – does Newspaper 11 fix this issue?

It’s really quite important for ranking most likely. We’ve spent a lot of time changing our image size to 1200px width in line with Google’s AMP requirements, but it’s no use if the theme is loading 696px width.

Yeah I have the same problem. For me the box doesn’t even load to input the text, and all my previous text cannot be edited. Need urgent change.

Don’t think this is a plugin problem as I did not add any new plugins and it was perfectly fine when I used it previously – it just broke after the latest Newspaper update. Please fix urgently.

– Is there any timeline on the fix? I’m pretty sure everyone else has the same problem, and it’s affecting ranking and impressions on google.
– Is there any manual code fix in the meantime, where amp draws from the full image size (1200px) rather than 696px?
