I tried Super Progressive Web Apps available on WordPress directory and for me, it worked well. As the PWA is not at all supported on all the browsers and Add to Homescreen behaviour works differently upon all the browsers, it will be a little bit challenging task to request users to install it.

Did the SuperPWA worked perfectly upon the website to convert into Progressive Web Apps?

I tried an open source plugin on WordPress for getting PWA on Newspaper theme last day, called “Super Progressive Web Apps”, and it worked well for me with all features of Progressive Web Apps. You can also try it. It also supports AMP for starturls.

I am planning to use the same content in the subdomain, the only change within it will be : 1) Adsense woun’t be used. 2) Traffic through desktop’s will be blocked for that sub domain.

Rest all will be same. So can you tell me how to activate the theme for the subdomain?

Sorry I won’t use any inline css as the Newspaper theme is providing all the features and styles which I need, almost all of them are like that. Also I would like to clearly mention that I won’t use any plugins other than what Newspaper provide. I am not saying that we need a support or anything like that. I just only requested and mentioned the latest trends to achieve more downloads to the best news theme. As News is initially considered by Google for AMP in Rich Cards format, so there is a vast chance to help the theme developers to generate more leads. Right now what i am seeing is that those who correctly fixed AMP is not even interested to share the methods, just to reduce competition with them. 😉 That’s why i shared here the videos and some links! Hope it will be helpful for someone.

I tried about two times on the AMP plugin, but on Search Console I got a lot of errors. 😀 So I removed it, I think after the update of Newspaper mobile theme their needs some more coding to fetch AMP pages by error free fetching.
As Google announce the next future of website as AMP, a lot of persons (including me) are looking for themes that supports AMP plugin without any error. If Newspaper provides it then Tagdiv team will hit another milestone as on Theme forest.

If you provide AMP within the theme, Newspaper will become the first theme who supports AMP. And surely a great no: of downloads will happen as most of them who are looking good search results are now looking for AMP themes.

I think i need to explain more about the footer copyright link issue. I added a href properly in the Footer Copyright text. And it perfectly works for about 2-3 days, or may more more than 2-4 weeks. I am not sure about the problem which causing the link removal in this section. I think after some changes on settings of Theme Panel, the a href tag is removed automatically from the “Footer Copyright text” section. So please add the href first and do some changes on settings on theme panel, i think that’s the issue.

I also moved via this issue, and i found that its due to some plugins which were not supported in the latest WordPress.
So you need to deactivate all the plugins except Visual Composer and install the new template files. Then you will found the website will work perfectly. After that activate each plugin one by one by checking whether any errors occurring or not. You can easily spot the plugin which is causing this error easily.

I installed Yoast SEO Glue and AMP plugin on my website http://www.bigscreenhouse.com and when i check Accelerated Mobile Pages on Google Search Console I found that one page is indexed and 3 AMP pages with errors. I checked the error but its mentioned as “Unknown syntax error” http://www.bigscreenhouse.com/videos/sai-pallavi-vanitha-cover-photoshoot-video/amp/

So can you help me?

Also as on Newspaper theme there’s a feature to select the post format b/w “Standard” and “Video”. When i choose the ‘Video’ the URL which is added to ‘Featured video’ is not showing up on /amp/ . If you can provide any solutions for these. It will be much helpful.
