I have both these websites configured on AWS Lightsail, configured the same way yet on tours-uk.com the elements that have the classic text block within them, the block hangs. Yes I have deactivated/activated the plugins 1-by-1 and I have checked the error.logs on the server to include memory and yes the wp-config file has 512MB memory limit assigned. I have had this issue around 3 weeks now, been trying to resolve it but I can’t.
The max_input_vars is actually set to 5000 on the server.
Theme Panel Image and Screen Recording of both websites showing that the same element hangs in one and not the other.

Justin
Hi Justin,
Usually, when this is happeing, an error is displayed in the browser console that will let you know what is interfering with the WP Editor from the text with the title element.
Also, here is a guide that provides a solution for the problem you are facing – https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/ https://i.imgur.com/1NLuEYY.png
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
So for weeks now, I have followed the guidance of and troubleshooting using the above article and these Newspaper Docs: https://forum.tagdiv.com/general-options-may-interfere-newspaper-theme/ https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-not-working/ https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ and although I learnt about not loading unused CSS & JS resulting in increased page speeds, the Wp Editor is still hanging :(.
I have updated the /wp-content + /wp-content/plugins .htaccess files accordingly, checked the php.ini file, changed the object cache plugin, checked the apache error logs, ran multiple diagnostic checks on the server configuration and still the WP editor hangs and I am exhausted on this.
Can someone from your team take a look for me please?
Thanks.
Hi,
Can you open the browser console and check it when you open the text editor, and see if there is any error message? Or if you want, contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide temporary wp-admin access, and we’ll check it and let you know what is blocking it.
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
Here’s a screenshot: https://www.icloud.com/iclouddrive/01bcPC8z9PBZx68SjMhI9hTyQ#Tours-UK-Console
1) I have not used Google Maps in theme panel or any plugin so I am confused on those 3 warnings
2) JavaScript is not within my skillset but it seems to be a Yoast SEO conflict.
Thanks,
Justin.
Hi Calin,
I am now testing the Flex Block 1 and other elements locally and I am still having the errors. Please see the video.

Hi Justin,
Checking the video, the settings for Flex Flock 1 are ok, so I believe that something else is interfering. Can you make a test on a new page, set the flex block 1 there, and see if the error persists? Let me know teh results.
Also, it can be related to a code set on that page if this is working correctly on a new page.
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
Here’s the test page vid and Flex Block 1 broke again: https://share.icloud.com/photos/0b87ETz8hYOI3b-v_NSjK_u9Q

Hi,
I have two suggestions. If neither of them works, we’ll need access to the website to investigate the issue further. Maybe you can set it on a staging.
1. Test with the default header and footer: Go to the Header & Footer settings, remove the Cloud header and footer, and leave them at their default state. After that, recheck the test page.
2. Test using only the theme plugins. Disable all other plugins and keep only the theme-related ones (tagDiv plugins) active.
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
Here’s the staging site: https://iamjpfn.com/wp-login.php I have a back-up so configure as you wish.
The login details are the same as you’ve used.

Justin.
Hi Calin,
https://share.icloud.com/photos/0990Paf1EKWPhfzCOXNpOS09A
So yes, on the development site, deactivating the Short Pixel plugin has resolved the issue with the Mega Menu and Flex Block 1.
However, on the live site, with said plugin being deactivated, the wp-editor within any of the text related elements still hangs.
So what’s your answer to that? Considering this is why I listed this thread and told you that this issue has been on-going for weeks now even with all plugins on the live site deactivated.
Regards,
Justin.
Hi Calin,
Confirmation of wp-editor hanging with all plugins deactivated on the live site: https://share.icloud.com/photos/037i2bCyCpOQyhFGPoxAWGFpA

Hi Justin,
I remember that on staging, after I disabled all plugins except the theme plugins, the problem was resolved – https://i.imgur.com/jhLPmCr.png. Did it continue to happen for you on staging?
Hi Calin,
No! The issue of the editor hanging WAS NOT resolved by deactivating all the plug-ins.
Here’s another video proving that: https://share.icloud.com/photos/0cdEDESQA9Rpe38Cy7TtoCGOg
Plus if you reviewed the previous videos already sent you will see it did not. Nor did you create your own video showcasing evidence that it was resolved as you claim!
I look forward to seeing your recording where you get the editor to load and edit text in either site preferably the dev site.
As you can see from my other domain: partycaribbean.com I can have multiple sub-domain on a single licence which does not affect my request: https://share.icloud.com/photos/021vl_OjF1mUtlY7DXnu2fKpg
I need you to action the following please:
Approve my theme licence domains as follows:
1) tours-uk.com – live site
2) dev.tours-uk.com – staging site
3) dev-tuk – localhost
Do let me know by return email that this has been actioned.
Regards,
Justin.
Hi Justin,
The tests were performed on the staging site iamjpfn.com, and the issues you experienced were indeed caused by some plugins. I didn’t record a video, but I did provide screenshots showing that the WordPress editor opened correctly and no longer froze.
I will also check this on the live site, because if the staging and live environments don’t have identical settings both in WordPress and on the host, then it’s possible that something working on staging may not work on the main website.
Thank you!
Calin,
tours-uk is now configured as a WP Multisite to allow for live and staging on an AWS Lightsail instance configured exactly the same as my other wp/newsletter projects which do not have this wp-editor hanging issue as I have sent evidence of before.
I would suggest you run tests of the dev site as I have suppliers/partners currently reviewing the live site.
Have you updated the domains on the licence as asked?
Regards,
Justin.
