If you choose page builder + title, then the title will be displayed on top of the page. Use the default page template if you don’t want it to show.
The breadcrumbs can be removed in the theme panel if needed for all the website

The sub-footer can display a copyright text and a menu, those can be set in the theme panel.
If you want to display additional elements as you mention, you could enter the HTML in the custom HTML section in the theme panel. The HTML will be displayed below the sub-footer

I have difficulty formatting the text in the footer of your Smart App template. I try to replicate what I have in the footer section of my current website http://www.pilotoasia.com, i.e.
1) Add hyperlink to ‘Contact Us’ and ‘Consult Us For Free’
2) Add an empty row between ‘Contact Us’ row and address
3) Add hyperlink to ‘Legal Notice’ and ‘Privacy’ in subfooter section
Could you please advise how I can add hyperlink into the text and add empty row in your WP footer section? I don’t think this can be done in the ‘Footer Text’ box’ and ‘Footer Copyright Text’?

I have seen it done in newspaper already, where they appear to be using the custom html widget, but I can’t figure out
how to replicate it.

Main thing is to limit number of modules; perhaps only use *one* on sidebar, not five; don’t use footer elements, just have copyright; do simpler home page; disable XMLRPC as possible attack vector that can overload site; disable comments site wide unless you must have them (don’t serve much purpose anymore other than trolls and spam); turn off ‘related posts’ and ‘more from author’ and disable ‘you might like.’
Those are all good starting points. Idea is to ‘start small’ then optimize by adding more; not turn every option on to start with.

Hey guys, I am currently in the building procress of an amazon affiliate blog and I would like to use the amazon provided image url as a featured image of my blog posts. I cannot download them and add them manually to my wordpress due to copyright restrictions so I downloaded the Plugin “Featured Image From URL” to make that happen. Now the following problem occured with the Newspaper theme:
The Plugin is fetching the featured Image right and stuff but it won’t show the Image on the actual site despite of the “latest article” part at the bottom of the frontpage. The Plugin developer said their might be some kind of trouble with some themes and that I have to add the themes custom post type to the plugin.
Now my question whats the exact name of the custom post type that is used with Newspaper Theme? I really want to make that work because I heavily rely on these images at my blog.

Is it possible to align in the center the pages shown in the subfooter? There’s a custom footer copyright text inserted in the theme panel too (c domain.com). I need to align them all in the center of the subfooter as there’s an online chat bubble that is shown all the time in the bottom right corner. It covers 2 of the page names (the Privacy policy and Terms of use words) which is an issue. Aligning all words in the center will solve the issue.

usually you can set defaults for ‘all feeds’ first, then add a feed (it will try to ‘discover’ feeds when you put in a URL, but best to just paste in the ‘actual’ feed you want to preview). Note, settings will be down left side for plugin, and can also be found in the menu once there when selecting the plugin – so kinda easy to get lost, but upshot two ways to get to things.
Trick is
a) defaults can be set for all feeds,
b) but then EACH feed can have special settings, like auto create tags, or not; auto assign to specific category only (e.g., “Florida News” … or “National News” if you wanted to pull ALL our news as one example into a “national” category…)
c) you can set all posts to be assigned to a special ‘author’ such as “National News Desk” or similar (obviously need to have that author setup); or some syndication partners just use “Send2Press Newswire” as the author. One site made up an author, using a chracter from Harry Potter, but I don’t usually recommend that, as it looks goofy to me.
d) you can have it set to automatically grab stories (I usually set for 600 minutes, or 300 minutes if you want to); or you can even have it done manually, where once a day you just hit the ‘syndicate’ button.
Here is an example of CaliforniaNewswire® pulling all the Send2Press® Newswire content into a “national” category along with thumbs using the auto post thumbnail pro plugin, which creates featured image from first image in each post:

I’m possibly doing this wrong. I add an image to my Media Library, and for this image, write the copyright (“Getty Images”) in the Caption field. It’s still not showing up?

That information can be changed. You can create a different menu and set it in the footer if you want to display a menu, or disable it entirely. The default copyright text can be changed as well
