Hi guys,

I think that Speed Booster plugin need some adjustment for latest versions of Yoast 3.7.0 & 3.7.1

Right now, with the speed-booster activated, only the homepage is optimized.

If we analyze with Google Insights all the site (posts, pages, taxonomy) less the homepage, throw render-blocking (¡for both, PC & mobile!) even if the JS & CSS are moved at the bottom. Something that has not happened to me with Yoast 3.5.2 or earlier.

Always using: Yoast, VC, Speed-Booster – system status OK (no modification, only dequeue VC).

I hope you can find a quick solution.

Anecdotally:
For all site, I dequeue Visual Composer and I left it only for the homepage. So theoretically & practically the homepage is the heaviest page from all domain, but still remains the most optimized 🙂
I prefer otherwise.

Hello there.

I have added background image for mobile menu and search. And as documentation says after adding an image we need to change opacity of color in theme color option of mobile segment. But i don’t see any opacity option to change.

Secondly even if i change mobile menu background color to say #fff in start and end. The image does appear but very but very because of high opacity of foreground container.

For information i am using version of the theme downloaded from themeforest

Please give me some custom code for this rectangular box. Can I fill this box with some light gray color too?

One more thing about the header.

You can see that my current header is a full-width header but the logo and another navigation menu still wrapped under the theme width. How can I make it full length too? I mean , the logo should start with far left and the navigation menu should touch the far right.

Hi,

We are using tagDiv visual composer plugin with our Newsmag theme to design a pages in word press.

We have re-designed our homepage and it was working fine. But due to theme updation we have lost all the design changes and now it is looking very poor.

As I think that now tagDiv visual composer plugin is not working or not supported or not compatible with Newsmag theme.

Kindly suggest, how we can retrieve the earlier one?

Hi guys, I’m deleting some plugins and one of them is the social plugin to show social icons on the sidebar. But more over, I don’t want to show how much followers I have. There is a psycological reason. Anyways, what I’m trying to do, is to insert an HTML widget on th sidebar, put some icons pointing to my social networks, and I plan to use the icons that shows the footer, actually I would like to use the same colors. Would you help me to achieve this?, at least one example and then I can follow the pattern.

I wanted to use some ads on my website but when I insert them they make all pictures (including thumbnails) disappear. Not every time – around 1-2 vists out of 10.

I wanted to ask about the language stuff for my website. First of all, my language is german, I work with wordpress from here, and my webhost has also a server here. But I want everything, really everything on my website in english, no matter from where its ridden. So its made for worldwide. I write my articles in english, and also some elements in the website were in english by default (so, without doing anything), but at a lot of other things its unfortunally in german, like the search bar for example. The search button contains the german word for search and not the english. Or in the articles box instead of “All”, it shows german “Alle” (its the Block 1 for visual composer which came with your theme). So how can I just have everything in english. This is very annoying I need some good help with that. I was going to Newsmag theme panel > Translations > Load an available translation …. I set it to english already and then pressed “Load Translation”, but nothing changed. I tried this multiple times, also with spanish, but never works. What can I do please I need everything in english, if not my site doesnt really work well. (I asked a friend from south america, I think he also said in his country it shows up the german word)

Is there a way to place the Article Inline Ad centered without stretching it out? The ad looks terrible stretched. I’ve been facing this issue since a long time now. Whenever we start getting good traffic, the CPU usage spikes to 100% and the site is unreachable to users.

I’ve been tweaking it since months now with fail. It’s a nginx-varnish-php5-fpm-fastcgi-xcache setup with W3TC, page cache, object cache, database cache & browser cache on.

I read somewhere in the Newsmag forum that it might be due to the VC plugin. (My version is 4.11). I’m using New Relic to check what is causing the spike and it seems index.php is the culprit. I also fixed the header error at line 6 by using the if, else code. But I keep getting some error saying GET index.php timed out.

Is VC causing this issue? Should I disable VC on post pages? How to do that?

I understand that the pages widget displays all the pages created. I was wondering is there any widget which displays the menu?

For example if my menu has pages named A, B, C, D and E. And B has b1, b2, b3 and b4 as sub pages.

What I was wondering, when I open page be. Can that page display the sub page list of B on side?

Thank you to support for answering my earlier question about using 300-weight (light) fonts in Newspaper.

So, CNN & several other news sites are going to 300-weight fonts. It’s the latest trend. However, to get newspaper there, I have to modify theme files, which means either using a child-theme or having to re-apply the changes every time an update comes out.

Is there a way to make the 300-weight fonts a standard option?

Under the Theme Panel > ADS

I have added 3 text & display ads and 3 link ads.

Header ad = responsive text & display ad.
Sidebar ad = large skyscraper ad.
Article top ad = link ad.
Article inline ad = link ad.
Article bottom ad = responsive text & display ad.
Custom ad 1 = link ad.

Problem 1: The inline ad appears right after the posts header <h2>
Problem 2: While all ads are set to Auto in the Theme Panel > ADS, the system will always choose 320×100 instead of 728×90, which is the optimal for the post’s width.
Problem 3: The theme converts all link ads to text & display ads. According to AdSense policy 3 of both types are allowed to used simultaneously, this conversion makes the site non-complaint with the AdSense policy.

Could you please help me to overcome those problems?

Hi, I need mi site logo appears fullwith in smartphone WITHOUT Menu and Search icons in the same file like the attached sample image. That image is of Broden Theme, is of another theme. I want to know how do it with Newspaper theme.
I tried some setting options but always appears Menu and Search logos on the sides of the logo in the same file.

Please, I want just the logo without icons on the sides, but I need logo and ads keep in the same file in the desktop computer version like default configuration, my problem is only in mobile…
