You can use media queries to hide the ads on smaller screen like here:

}You need to target the specific classes for your ad, and also set the resolution where you want to hide the ad. Keeping the current resolution the ad will be hidden on screens smaller than 1021 px width.

The theme doesn’t have an option to apply different filter for Visual Composer blocks, to have for example in big grid on first module on the left one filter and on the other ones, another filter. You will need custom modification in theme’s core files to achieve that functionality. This modification involve custom work and unfortunately we cannot offer it, as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support, but you can always get a freelancer from sites like: http://studio.envato.com/ to do it for you.

For example, big grid has five spaces: one big place on the left and four smaller places on the right. I need to split these five block, because each time I put a news on the big grid there is a rotation (in the big place there is always the lasta news) and I don’t want that.
I’d like, for example, put a news on the big space and change only the smaller places

For example if a user is there on home page and click on a post then currently it is opening in the same tab, but i want it to open in a new tab.

1 & 2. All the names with the exception of “HOME” are currently align right. There is a big gap between “HOME” and the next word “CHOI” (see link). I would like to know if the category names can be centered and moved closer to “HOME” for both desktop and mobile views. Thanks.

All News+ is a news website and since the theme is so on point! Though I’ve been quite lazy customizing it, I did follow the installation guides & tips and my site performance improved! Glad to see I’m not the only one here (hehe).

I have a multisite (http://ideas2live4.com) where I want to show some post excerpts from sub.sites on the main site landing page.
I know that I can link the title block to those sites but is there an easy way to modify the template to bring in those external posts.
I have previously done this with another site but it required extensive theme customization and am hoping there is a simpler solution with Newspaper theme 🙂

We’re having an issue with our vimeo playlists.
When videos are set to public, the video name displays in the playlist.
When videos are set to private (or anything other than public), the video name does NOT display in the playlist.

Here is an example with one video public and one private.
Also note that we have the vimeo videos set correctly to show videos on this domain. So the videos do show, but the plugin doesn’t allow the title to be shown for some reason.

We need our videos to be set as private in Vimeo, we do not want our videos to be public in Vimeo.

I have purchased Newspaper 6 and I use movies site so I need to to use the plugins WPmovielibrary & Paid membership pro my problem is when I install WPMovieLibrary and added movie data I cant see with the Post section, I see only Movies section in the plugin WPmovielibrary, if I didn’t see the movies I posted in the Post section I can’t order which membership can watch the movie I posted, so I need to know if there is a way that I can see or convert the movie I posted in WPMovieLibrary to see in the Post section.

I know that Tagdiv said they would continue to offer us support but I also did not know this forum was separate from Envato, since we really have to go to Envato to get to it or put it as a bookmark on browser or straight from themepanel.
There is this thing called purchase code too. Still is being tracked by Envato even if this forum is 3rd party. Not trying to be a d*ck. I am just not made out of money. I pay for one theme then all of a sudden Envato wants more. I should be upset.
One theme and that does not mean, well he did not pay enough, now lets ask for more. I understand authors paying for support but there is a difference from authors saying they are charging and then Envato saying they are making the authors charge. Authors saying is better than a marketplace doing it for them.
Does not bother me if Tagdiv actually says they would do it on this 3rd party forum because it is coming from them but Envato is making it look as they are trying to suck as much as possible and this sure sounds like vampires without the blood sucking.

It’s all greek to me.I don’t understand the solutions. Why do I have to do that kind of fix, why wont it just work out of the box? I drag folder to ftp themes directory and voila! It should work. It worked on a test server of mine too.
Upgraded settings from 4.5d to 6.4.
Uploaded clean folder of Newspaper 6.4
Missing search icons, social icons in footer, latest arrows, load more icon.
There must be an easy fix by now. Saw everyone having trouble in january.

The forum is on the tagdiv web server — not Envato. Envato can’t “cut off your account” on this forum. Only cut off additional downloads from the ThemeForest repository.
I think this has become necessary for some theme developers who deal with 5 hours of tech support for folks who buy a $59 theme; then a year later want another 5 hours of support. Nobody can make a living that way. I’ve been one of many (sorry!), pushing this idea the past 3 years on ThemeForest so theme authors can make a living *and* continue to develop and support products for clients.
For example, client buys v2 of theme – works great, gets bunch of support for customizations, site is awesome. 2 years later new super version theme comes, out customer gets it free, and now wants ANOTHER bunch of support for customizations and “how do I get it to work with plugin XYZ” … that’s crazy for a company to offer for a $50-60 product.
Otherwise they would have to at some point charge for support tickets unrelated to an ‘actual” bug or theme issue. Like the guy on Newspaper them who was “furious” over problem, and got all sorts of support, turned out it was issue with Cloudflare. Wow, huge time waster for TagDiv.
So I would not panic if you’re an existing customer – sky not falling – get your site setup, and get on with your life and make great content. TagDiv has already said they will continue to support existing clients, as they have done the past couple of years — often going above and beyond for clients who REALLY need to learn to use WP before coming here at all.
Sorry – not trying to be a troll or war of words, or anything, these are just my thoughts and reflect no policy or anything from the company or anybody else — just an opinion.
We started to sell themes 6 years ago and stopped doing so due to this very issue … folks really want a theme developer to help them debug their server, their plugins, their photos, their life, their coffeecake, and that’s just not reasonable in any business case. Hopefully some middle ground will be found, and 6 months is plenty of time for a buyer to get support on setup, shoot down bugs, etc for the small amount being paid.

The visual composer had caused problem. Only the 1st two rows are appearing at the editor. The bottom rows and blocks have disappeared on the visual composer. On the website, everything is functioning. But because of the missing visual composer of the remaining rows, I’m not able to do any further changes.
I have tried updating to the new update, deleted the WP bakery and activate visual composer.
I have switched to the classic mode and found the following code. Deleted the top rows code, since there is nothing wrong.

We worked together on your website and found that whenever we change the theme of your site to a default theme (like 2015) you were able to upload images without getting a 500 internal server error. But when we change the theme back to Newspaper you are not able to upload images anymore. I recommend that you contact the theme developer to ask if there is settings that should be changed or if they have experienced this before and if so how it was resolved.
HTTP error is more often. I tried changing browser too from Firefox to IE, but in vain.

I would stick with one of the major shortcode providers like bit.ly or even goo.gl …
we use our own YOURLS shortcode system which keeps the shortcodes local.
The plugin I suggested — one of many — does not tie you to ONE plugin service …
so for example — using your own local shortcodes built-in to WP:
◾Nice ID links – http://your_site/123 instead of http://your_site/index.php?p=123
◾Shortcode support (Ver 3.1): Place [shortlink] in your article where you want to display the shortened url.
SO, in this context you could edit the functions file for the theme to possibly put the shortcode where the shortcode would go.
You know — I don’t usually suggest add-ons for the TagDiv themes …
but *THIS* functionality would be an awesome future feature for the themes!!

That is a example, it does it even without the groups it does under topics too. So just going for groups help and it does it for topics too is not going to fix the problem. I guess getting help for it is not going to happen since you are just going to assume it is just the groups are the problem when the topics and replies to the exact same thing. Thanks for trying to send me to buddypress. They don’t even help much at their support forums been there done that many times and they tell me they can’t do anything. Oh well forget that.

I love the theme update! It looks phenomenal.
I was wondering how I can customize the default video player which is used on the Newspaper theme. Rather than having it use the Vimeo player, I have a Vimeo Pro account which gives me the file URL location and allows me to embed videos into my own player.
For that reason, I have JW Player Ads Edition, which allows me to monetize. Right now the only way to get videos to show up in their specific position is if it’s strictly a Vimeo URL. Since I’d like to use the pre-roll VAST tags I have, I was wondering what I need to edit (where to begin, what file it’s found under, etc) so that I can have JW Player V6 Ads Edition be my video player rather than the one Vimeo provides.
Vimeo Pro allows users to not only embed videos, but to directly embed the files which change to a mobile format or downgrade quality based on connection speed for you (acting as a $200 a year CDN, saving me $6,000 a month at least).
Where do I go about editing how a video is pulled? Ideally, if I could paste in the url to my video on Vimeo / YouTube area, and run the system through there, where would I edit this file and would it be best to use a child theme to direct this through?
