<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/fr_FR/all.js#xfbml=1&amp;appId=…………….”;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);

Salut!

Imi doresc sa afisez continutul forumului in pagina exact cum l-ati afisat voi in exemplul: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/forums/ .

Multumesc anticipat!

Alex

Adding this code in functions.php:

add_filter( ‘author_link’, ‘my_multi_author_link’, 10, 2 );

function my_multi_author_link( $url, $user_id ) {
if ( 1 == $user_id ) {
return home_url( ‘flaten’ );
}
return $url;
}

…messes everything up and gives med the following warning/fatal error:

Hi Guys,

Just want to share my two cents, I am a non-coder so couldn’t do any technical stuff. When I installed Newspaper, my pagespeed score on GTMetrix was 43. I realized there was some hack in my php files, so cleaned them up bu the speed reached only around 48.

I changed host from Site5 to KnownHost with SSD drive and extra RAM. The reading did reach 75-80 with that.

Following this I installed P3 Plugin Profiler and found out that Jetpack and Yoast SEO (1.5.x.x) was eating 90% of the total plugin resources. I unisntalled Jestpack; it was useful plugin but not indispensable.

I also removed Yoast SEO. The decision was easy as I felt it didn’t improve my SEO. Yes, I said it! I know how big a name Yoast is, but it didn’t work for me. May be I didn’t use it the right way but hell I would rather not use what I don’t know how to use and the cost opportunity was too high as speed was important to me.

And her is the result:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply Marius,
Actually the blog is old, and i was not aware much about seo, that’s why set the permalink structure with .php, like
http://www.example.com/category/sub-category/post.php
Now please suggest what to do, as when i try to share post with the help of share buttons below the content, the page not found error occurred as the share buttons picks url without .php

Hello,
I am wondering if there is a way to add another one banner next to the other one (for example an 120X60 px image) on the header ad space.
http://tinypic.com/r/eqwigw/8

The code that I have allready in the header ad containing some text and the ad is:

<div align="left">
 <a href="http://aeknea.gr/aetos">

<b> Ο αετός λέει: ερχομαστεεεεεεε</a> </b>

</div>
<div align="right">
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://media.mybet.com/ad.aspx?pid=61566&bid=2845"></script>
</div>

Thanks Cristopher. That you says has sense, but I’m using this theme some months before with custom css and I’ve never seen this happens.

I’ve always seen it as my style loaded directly, without any kind of flash of the original.

And before when I use custom css to replace some styles works fine. Now, the example that I told you before. The first meta-info is the original, the second is that I want to replace. But when I join to my website I only see the original. And the second appears when I inspect the element, like this:

.meta-info {
font-family: ‘Ubuntu’,sans-serif;
color: #CBCBCB;
font-size: 12px;
}
.meta-info {
font-family: ‘Roboto’;
color: #4B4B4B;
}

Some elements of my custom css works fine. But others, like this .meta-info, don’t work. I don’t know why.

Thanks again

I have the theme style modified by CSS, but now I have some problems with customs CSS.
Some custom CSS dont work.

Example: If I put a different color in .meta-info my new color doesn’t appears. I have to modified style.css to getting this color.

And other problem is when I have my theme with changed fonts and color grey. But when I join to my website the first 1-2 seconds I see blue theme color and original fonts, like the demo.

What happens?

In my prev post I had a problem with css in bbpress, and you recommend me to upload all files via FTP to solve it. I solve my problem with forum, but I’ve new problems now.

I understand that UberMenu doesn’t work with this theme, and although that’s something you might need to look at in the near future, I need to ask: how can I make columns of things in the menu of the theme as I’d do in ubermenu? Have a look here for an example

hi,

1) this is a little difficult, as the page is made from 3 components.
the first component is the header where the logo is, the second is the menu part
and the 3 is the rest of the page. so you need to apli shadow to all of this elemets.

2) soon we will relese a new version of the theme with a new fonts solution.
right now you need to do this from css. in the theme panel we have a panel for custom css : http://screencast.com/t/stb3BvsajWwc .then in the same panel add your custom css for fonts and the css to target what element you what to apply the font too.

3) only the log In and Socials have Style 1. this is how the disign was made. no solution for this.

sorry I could not help you more.

Thanks for you message.

Hi,

I have a strange problem. When i put the facebook code in the header.php (at the beginining) to make the facebook comment works, the favicon desapears on chrome and internent explorer, it only works on firefox.

The facebook code is :

<div id=”fb-root”></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
js.src = “//connect.facebook.net/fr_FR/all.js#xfbml=1&appId=…………….”;
fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, ‘script’, ‘facebook-jssdk’));</script>

Do you know what to do ?

Thanks for your great theme and very great support 🙂

Hello. Newspaper is Amazing. The most complete theme I’ve ever encountered. A couple of questions:

1. I was wondering if you have any custom css that would allow me to put a gradient shadow around the main body of my pages.

2. Also, I would like to customize the fonts output by the widgets (body text). How can I do this?

3. Some widgets do not have an option to use Style 1 header. Do you have a solution for this?

Thanks in advance. Hope you respond soon.

Hi, I am a Senegalese journalist, and I manage my online Newspaper.
I do not speak well the English. But I try to be more clear as possible.
I have two problems.
-First, I can no longer upload images to a new post. I can not publish a post on my website. I do not understand why?
-Second, i would like to know, how can I publish a post in another section? For example, if I publish a post, I’d like it goes directly to another area and not on the feature. I wished to keep the featured image while posting in the other window.
Thank you and congratulate for your beautiful theme!

Every time we copy the code from development to staging we loose all of our Theme panel settings for Newspaper. For example each time we move to a new environment we copy the entire database over but it doesn’t remember that we want to hide all the social media icons, views and comments. We want to turn all of these off each time we copy the database for testing. Is this a config file stored somewhere? If so, can you tell us what directory it is located?
