I installed the update theme and now cannot make any edits – the theme panel can be viewed but cannot be clicked. http://stemjobs.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=td_theme_panel#

Additionally, the visual composer does not work – I can select it on a given page, but cannot make any edits: http://stemjobs.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=1090&action=edit

I thought updating the theme or reinstalling the theme files might address this. Are there underlying plugin dependencies that I’m missing?

I made test in pagespeed and the score of mobile version its poor. the tool shows this problems. ¿How can i fix this problems?

Hi,
The Unique article works like that, render the page from top to bottom and eliminate all duplicated posts. Does not matter post are in mega menu or in sidebar, or in footer.

If you want you can use offset function instead of unique, to create something that fit your needs.

I would like to know how you can view the post summaries for example in the archive pages of the categories or tags. WordPress supports this function but the theme do not think so. Right? And ‘possible to activate them?

Mega menu and Unique articles are great features. But just discovered that when a article shows up in the mega menu it isn’t shown at the page because of the Unique article feature. I think this is a little bug because you don’t want to exclude article who are shown in te megamenu. How to fix this?

Hi Marius,
I’ve made the same thoughts as @jf77 and ask how I can manage that. For example: an advertiser wants a leaderboard banner on desktop and pad devices but not on mobile phone. At the same time another client wants a small leaderboard banner on top (header ad 320×50 px) only on mobile phones.
In other words, I want to sell a small leaderboard banner (header ad) for mobile phones always additional and/or individually. That’s why makes an additional slot for mobile phones sense.

Hi!

The new sharing system is freaking cool. But the thing is, it is not showing how many times people have shared a post. For example, on Mashable they’re showing how many times people have shared a post altogether.

I would like to hear your comments on this feature request. And hope tagDiv will update this ASAP.

Hi Marius,

your are right, it sorts the asc und desc order of the events. The Problem is that it sorts via post date. let me explain:

It works when you post events in chronological order. But when you insert an event inbetween two already existing events (for example you have an event on the 1st of April and on the 4th of April and then later post an event on the 2nd of April it will be put at the back of the list and not between the existing dates). It’s running into problems.

Please change your post dates in Events Manager (the date the event was created). And you’ll see what I mean.

Any ideas?

Hey everybody,
first of all I only did a brief search on the forums to see if this was already asked since I am quite under time pressure on this project. If so please forgive me and just link me to the topic.
I need to create different pages that show only posts with a certain meta key – meta value combination.
Is this in some way possible with the existing templates or do I need to create new ones with extra options for this purpose?
I could also see this realized with custom fields on page creation but would need to know where to check for these values then.

Example:
A ‘popular’ page should only show post with
meta_key => ‘_status’,
meta_value => 2

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Hi,
Please search on Google how to check if you have GD library installed in your server and install it. You can ask the server administrator for all the details, if you can’t manage it.

I think we did
sm = 100×65
md = 326×159
lg = 700×357

NOTE: I highly recommend adding a custom compression amount to photos for WP as I’ve found that some of the pix created by theme with default WP compression level are waaaay to big.

For example on our site which is not yet optimized,
original article image 700×406 I uploaded is 31.14kb
http://publishersnewswire.com/META/PNW-Feb14-loudest.jpg
the theme/and WP created a 700×357 version, 63kb (!).

The hack to add the compression amount down to something like “50” is someplace in my prior posts. Recommended!!!

add the following code to your functions.php file in the theme root at the end –or– in your child theme (TIP: stop using a child theme)

add_filter( ‘jpeg_quality’, create_function( ”, ‘return 50;’ ) );

– then run the regenerate thumbnails plugin under wp admin > tools

EDIT (( AND REMEMBER TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL PIX FIRST – !! ))

And one more FYI:
ga-ga is our test/optimization site
PNW is our “stock” site being used for comparison
(I have been called to other projects the past month and not working on either … hence why I was not around here for couple of weeks … and I will disappear again next week… sigh….deadlines!)

In the latest update, did you guys fix the “more stories” pop-up on the home and category pages?

For example, the more stories article box pop ups on pages like the homepage, category pages, contact, privacy policy and disclaimer pages. I want to know of you guys fixed this in the latest update, because most people would only like it to show on post pages
