Hello prepstexas,

Please notice that if you push this button from the Visual Composer, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/MtzVMudgd you will see the official message from Visual Composer regarding on separate license of Visual Composer, like so -> https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=524337
If you want to hide this warning, you will have to find in plugin file and remove from there the code which calls this warning. Please notice that we cannot provide a solution in this regard because we can not alter the plugin code, sorry!
So, if you are unhappy with our theme and if you want a refund, please make a request at contact@tagdiv.com in this regard and please specify there which are the main reasons for refunding.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

You don’t have to purchase these plugins: as for the WPBakery Visual Composer, just deactivate it, delete it and then, reinstal lit from the theme plugins tab.

As for the Slider Revolution, it’s packaged inside your Newspaper pack/folder. You can upload and activate it through FTP or, as indicated here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-install-revolution-slider-v5/

Purchased the Newspaper Theme, installed it but cannot update the Visual Composer as outlined in the forum, when refresh the plugins and I am getting this message;

>>There is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available. View version 4.12 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit settings to activate your Visual Composer. Got Visual Composer in theme?<<

Visited the settings page, followed the prompts, but no ‘licenses’ found. Don’t have valid license yet? Purchase Visual Composer license.

Bummer!

Also, tried to activate Slider Revolution, followed the link to Activate Slider Revolution for Premium Benefits. >>You can Enter an existing licence key or Purchase a licence key.<<

When I viewed the online ‘demo’ and viewed the videos, nothing was mentioned that I would have to purchase these extra items – I thought that this theme would be fully functional out of the box.

Kinda deceptive, don’t you agree?

So, bottom line, do I have to purchase these plugins?

I am someone who like to keep my plugins up to date whether I use them or not.. that being said, I see WPBakery came with the theme (which I already paid and arm and a leg for).. When I try to update WPBakery, it claims I do not have a license and need to shell out additional funds to have a license. I have tried to update it and continue to get this:

An error occurred while updating WPBakery Visual Composer: Update package not available.

There is a new version of WPBakery Visual Composer available. View version 4.12 details. Automatic update is unavailable for this plugin. To receive automatic updates license activation is required. Please visit settings to activate your Visual Composer. Got Visual Composer in theme?

Visual Composer also should have a license I assume as it was detected with the theme. But the WPBakery update notification will endlessly bug me until the end of time until it is updated. Please advise on a fix. Visual Composer, when I try to activate it, does not have a license.

Hi,

Well not all tools that say you have malicious code or other anomalies are correct. Visual composer states the same about wordfence:
Hi, we always test Visual Composer to be 100% safe – also our 3rd party developers check it and Envato as well. So if you purchase Visual Composer directly from WPBakery you can be 100% sure there are no malicious files in there. As for Wordfence – we personally doubt this plugin, because of the several cases in the past when it acted on such things like shortened URLs and so on.
To follow along with the plugin authors, we at TagDiv assure you there is no exploit or malicious code in our themes or the version of visual composer we provide and these tools are highly doubtful. In order to make a correct assesment, you neet to use more tools, not a single opinion from an untested plugin. We cannot say for sure what the plugin detects as I have checked all of the lines fo code mentioned in the errors you received but there is nothing potentially harmful there. You can rest assured there is no threat. A premium theme is built with custom code and plugins cannot detect this. WordPress plugins are created on the standard wordpress code and cannot recognize custom functions that we use. That is why it detects threats as the code is not in the standard wordpress codex. This is the case with all premium themes.
Thank you!

Hi,

I have two major problems.

Firstly, all the images in my site up until a certain date, keep disappearing. It has just happened again. (burrardstreetjournal.com)

I noticed in other responses to this problem, that Visual composer needed to be updated. Which brings me to my second problem… I’m still not receiving automatic updates. The wpbakery keeps saying that I don’t have a licence. The last time I messaged you guys, you said that I could upload it manually but it will get a bit repetitive if I have to do this every time.

I don’t think the update is necessarily connected to my original problem, as the images were disappearing when I had all themes and plugins updated. I recently had someone migrate the site and the problem started a few weeks later. Only the images uploaded to the new site are disappearing so I think it must be linked.

Thanks for your help!

Actually, it’s easy to fix. Delete the plugin from your admin panel, and the install it again through the zip file you can find in Newsmag\includes\plugins\ folder . Same as visual composer https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/

I had a similar problem. First, check the version of Visual Composer, it should be 4.11. If it’s not, then you have to upgrade to it.

First, download the latest version of Newspaper 7. Look for a file called js_composer.zip in the plugin folder. You’ll need this file.

Next, follow the instructions found here:

https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/

This should solve your problem.

Hello saltoaldia,

I guess that you want to add the link for your each tab and when you will push the tab1, for example, take you in the certain category which you have set it and for tab2, another category and so on, right? Please notice that you must not change that ID ->http://screencast.com/t/LevC5Buz8VU because this is automatically generated by the Visual Composer and it will have to be unique. So, if you want to display another category in your each tab, you will have to set a block for every tab and you can set it by a certain category. Please follow these steps ->
For example -> for Tab1 you can set the block 1 sorted by Fashin category, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/JGT91450Ky2Y and for tab2 you can set the block 2 sorted by Lifestyle, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/2lD1aDXf5

For more information about w3c specification, please check here -> https://wpbakery.atlassian.net/wiki/display/VC/Content+Elements#ContentElements-TabsSection -> http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_global_id.asp

Hi to all,

Im using Newsmag theme ver. 2.3.7, WPBakery Visual Composer ver. 4.11.2 and tagDiv Social Counter ver. 3.2, Site: savjetologija.com

The thing is that SC plugin is showing tw, yt, g+ correctly by number of followers/likes but shows wrong data for fb.

I noticed here in some comments that there was mentioning of SC plugin ver. 4.0, seems I can’t find it anywhere?

Also, in last update of Newsmag theme I found folder Newsmag-tf\patch_2.3.6_2.3.7\includes\plugins\td-social-counter.zip, so I was wondering is this mybe patch for fixing fb data number in SC plugin?

Thanks all!

Hi mate,

Thanks for the response. I tried to deactivate the old one and then select the new one but the installation fails stating that the composer directly is already existing.

Do I need to deactivate and delete the old Bakery Visual Composer and then install the new one? In fact I’ve tried this too and then when I go to open the Homepage in the backend I still don’t get to see the visual composer, it just doesn’t load regardless of what I try.

Any help in this matter would be appreciated as I’m pretty stuck!

Hi there,

On my last topic here : https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/a-few-modifications-in-social-counter/#post-115106 Andrei solved the problem by adding a few custom CSS, and I was wondering if it was possible to do it again.

On this page : http://www.emprunter-malin.com/le-guide/, you will see that I have set a page list with Virtual Composer from WP bakery. However all listings include author name and date, which is not good for a page, as you can see here http://www.screencast.com/t/lPi4bijm4hNX.

Is there a way to remove author’s name and page creation date with a custom CSS ? Please note that author’s name and date MUST STAY ON POSTS (essential for serp).

Thanks in advanced !

I’ve have looked at no less than 100 different pages on the web – here, WPBakery, Stack Overflow…and NO ONE, ANYWHERE provides instructions on how to filter for a CPT.

So if I add filter for “10001” – a regular post ID, it works
But if I add filter for “103075” – which is an Event ID, it does not. I’m sure it’s just a code thing where I’m supposed to specify gd_event=103075 or something like that…

domain.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=103075&action=edit
domain.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=gd_event#

Exactly how would I filter for THIS post? Which is a CPT. What is the EXACT code to enter into the Post ID field?

Please type it here so I can copy it. Thanks.

Hi there I am running Newspaper Version 6.6.3. My Installatron automatically updated Visusal Composer, but it was not loading. The website was unaffected but I wanted to adjust the frontpage.

Today I needed to change the frontpage. So I downloaded the latest newspaper package so I could re-install the visual composer manually. When I went to plugins and disabled wp bakery visual composer the website displayed error 500. Now the entire website has crashed.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

I have root access so httpd log:

I already renamed the js_composer directory to .js_composer to effectively disable it. I also reverted to PHP 5.6 legacy mode instead of PHP 7.0. So far no joy.

Hello Catalin,

thank you for your answer!

I tried to deactivate all plugins, but it is still not working with just these 3 Plugins enabled:
– tagDiv Mobile Theme
– TinyMCE Advanced
– WPBakery Visual Composer

Hello,

I would like to ask you to help me. I have Visual Composer 4.3.5. After WordPress 4.5.2 update I don’t see editor on my page post option. I can’t do any changew on my homepage.

I can not see backend editor, when I click on Visual Composer it redirects to https://vc.wpbakery.com/?utm_campaign=VCplugin&utm_source=vc_user&utm_medium=backend_editor

Do we need to purchase.

After updating the theme and Wp at 4.5 it is impossible to use in backend the visual composer.

The error in the js console is this one
Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function
backend.min.js?ver=4.9:6 Uncaught TypeError: $template.get is not a function

WPBakery Visual Composer plugin version is 4.9

Help please
Thanks

Hello urbanyvr,

First of all, please ensure that you are using the latest version of Visual Composer (v.4.11.2) (we recommend to do the update only via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard). Also, as I can see in your screenshot, I suppose that you want to use the Grid Builder from Visual Composer. Please notice that with this element you only create your own Grid Builder and there you will not select our Big Grid. For more information about how you can use Big Grid Element Builder, please check this documentation here ->
http://www.wpbakeryvisualcomposer.com/tutorials/use-visual-composer-grid-element-builder/
For more information about our Big Grids, please check our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

If is not what you mean, please provide more details about this, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Thank you for your understanding!
