I purchased Newspaper theme from Envato Market a few months ago, which included the full version of visual composer to use a long side tag div however upon doing a recent download of it again from Envato I can not seem to get visual composer working. I have followed this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/ however WP Bakery is still being uploaded… someone please help me because it worked fine for other websites I built when I initially downloaded it…
Hi,
Visual composer (now WPBakery Page Builder) has not received any updates, the latest version is 5.4.5 which is included in the full theme package (plugins folder)
That issue you are having is most likely caused by having the tagDiv composer activated. This composer is activated by default when the theme is installed or updated. Please deactivate it from the plugins section and check the results.
Thanks
Hello Jhalla436,
Please keep in mind that WP Bakery plugin has been fully tested on my website and it seems to work as expected, without any problems. I suggest you to make a new clean install from scratch to another sub-domain via FTP way, leave just to active only the Visual Composer and try again to drag and drop your desired elements from page builder. Should work because this was fully tested. Clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem will persist, you should provide some useful screenshots with the problem. Also, ensure that your system status parameters are increased according to our documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!
Thanks for your understanding!
WP Bakery is not working Properly it can,t show BIG GRID what can i do?
i feel more comfortable with wpbakery
Hi
no longer works editing pages with wpbakery page builder
You can only make changes in classic mode not with backend editor…
How to solve?
Thanks
While I am using Wpbakery
It seems like the 8.7 version is no longer able to connect to the static homepage. I originally created our homepage with that WP Bakery plugin that came with Newspaper and that always worked great through 8.6.
I tried creating a new page with TagDiv and it gave the error message :
Errors happened during tdcIframeData.init() -> bindViewsModelsWrappers()!
And it won’t let me do anything to create a new page. Very odd as the rest of the site looks the way it should which leads me to wonder if there’s just a small glitch to connect static homepage.
Most of these errors are just small glitches that cause a big pain.
I have updated WPBakery Page Builder, it didn’t help.
Hello,
first of all congrats for your awesome theme.
I have an issue with the single image in WP Composer. I am running the latest WP Bakery Composer, WordPress and Theme.
I am using Single Image item but on click action is not working. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
Hello everyone.
I’m using google translate. I hope it’s not a problem. Thank you.
I have a problem. I want to install the Visual Composer plugin but I can not install it. He tells me that I do not have a license. It is true? I have read that I must have it. I have inserted the plugin that I received when I bought Newspaper but after installing it, it asks me to activate it.
Would you like to receive automatic updates and unlock premium support? Please activate your copy of WPBakery Page Builder.
Thank you very much for your reply. regards
Hi Simon,
it seems that issue was caused by the WP Hide plugin. We changed the /wp-admin folder to another one, and that seemed to be the reason for the theme’s options page issues.
It seemed like the theme couldn’t locate image, css, js files etc. Is it possible that your theme works correctly with this security plugin?
another issue: is it possible to upgrade to 8.2 or 8.5 and still use the WP Bakery Visual Editor?
It seems like switching to your tagdiv composer will not be easy. It’s not 100% compatible with the VE, and we have hundreds of page types, so going through all of them and changing everything manually, wouldn’t be something that we would like to do….
Please advise,
Adam
I’ve moved into Newspaper 8, but am no longer able to achieve full-width rows like I had in newspaper 7.
In NP7, all I had to do was set the width selector of that row to “Stretch Row” and it was stretched to the full width of whatever screen was viewing the content–or “stretch row and content” and optionally “no padding.” Further, no matter what I set those to they aren’t even changing, which is to say none of the full-width settings render a full width row.
I also went to the “Template Settings” in the “Theme Panel” and set all of the components to full width.
I even created a fresh page to see if there was some sort of error with that particular page.
I haven’t yet installed the “Landing Page Elements” plugin, but it doesn’t make sense for a feature of the WPBakery Page Builder to be contingent upon another plugin.
Should I revert to NP7 for Full-Width sites?
Regards,
Hi, I installed the wordpress, the plugins and the theme, all right. When I installed other demos, the WPBakery Page Builder is correct and I can move the items so easy. When I installed the demo dental studio, the WPBakery Page Builder is with code in the version classic mode from the WPBakery Page Builder and cant move any item, I post a capture from the WPBakery Page Builder. https://gyazo.com/176f374a489d70846626fcd715537567
Hi,
I have tried your code and the shortcode
– https://www.screencast.com/t/wL9iScI6
It seems to produce an error while it displays some content
– https://www.screencast.com/t/vfHmLsWq
I don’t know exactly what you want to do, if you want to add a shortcode to Visual composer you can try it like this

Hi,
The images are displaying fine at the moment from what I can see, on the whole website
– https://www.screencast.com/t/OA2JjvvyxQGs
Only the latest version is available for download. In order to update the theme please follow this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-the-theme-2/
The most recommended method would be by FTP, and as always make a backup first. Update the theme plugins as well (deactivate and remove, then reinstall from latest theme package).
Note that in version 8 of the theme, the tagDiv composer was introduced. This composer will be activated by default when the theme is updated or installed. In order to use it all the pages have to be recreated with it. Or you can continue using Visual composer for the moment, and make the transition when you want, if you want. More about it here
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
Also a multi-purpose plugin was introduced, this adds many more elements and options to the tagDiv composer only
– https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0ARTSimnUY&t=287s
Visual composer (now WPBakery Page Builder) is still provided in the theme package and updates are included along with the theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin/
Let us know if you should encounter issues after the update. It is a general recommendation to always keep WordPress and the theme updated.
Thanks
Now I disabled WPBakery and I want to work with TagDiv only to avoid problems in the future. I just realized that by erasing the short codes of VC in each post, the article returns to its structure. What a relief! I think that it is no longer necessary to duplicate each post to do it again.
Thank you so much for your explanation!
Hello,
Replied in this topic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/wpbakery-page-builder/ there is no need to create multiple topics with the same issue.
Thanks.
Hi,
Indeed that is a pretty old version of the theme. Much has changed in the theme since then. Also there might be issues with the latest version of WordPress.
This is an update guide that you can follow

I was talking about the same problem in two posts in this forum, excuse me (titled “WPBakery Page Builder”).
I’m sure I was not using Visual composer or WPBakery for posts. This was only for homepage. Now I developed a new homepage working with TagDiv Visual Composer and this is now the homepage.
I disabled WPBakery Page Builder.
But this don’t fixed my problem.
My problem is with Newspaper default template for Posts, because the width of content text is fullwidth instead of the measure of the template.
I hope this is clearer and can help me.
Thank you for your relay and clarification.
First thing: in case I make need to make a modification the page (for sample “showcase”) that has been set as the “shop” page, what procedure shall I follow? The “showcase” cannot be properly reassigned?
I build the page with the WPBakery Page Builder in the backend. The WPBakery doesn’t have a “title” block, only “text with title”.
When I switched to the tagDiv Composer – I must say I thought they where the same thing, displayed differently – I found the “title” element. I added it and it works, but the WPBakery Page Builder elements “backed” together and where no more editable. (Probably you still can, but in text mode!)
I’d rather to keep things editable, just in case.
Is there a method – WPBackery or tagDiv – preferable then the other, maybe for compatibility issues in the future?

What is your recommendation for to use with posts?
The site has been working very well with WPBakery. Really I have only the homepage as page and all my posts are built with Default site post template Style 3.
I think I don’t use VC for posts.
The post I send in example is built with style 3:
http://chilecientifico.com/las-regiones-se-toman-congreso-futuro/
Maybe I have to rectify. The posts are built with Default site post template.
Is the influence of Visual Composer anyway important?
Please your help.
Hello,
VPBakery page builder = Visual composer. They simply changed names in the current version of the plugin.
If you use visual composer on posts, you will not be able to switch to the tagdiv composer as it cannot be used on posts. Visual composer as well was never tested or recommended to be used on posts as mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-use-visual-composer
If you already used it on all your posts then stick to visual composer for now as you will have to re-create all the posts to not use VC if you want to switch page builders.
Thank you!
Hi my pages are going blue and not responding, ive recently bought WPBakery Page Builder , i thought this was causing the problems, but the company say The issue at your end is arising from the theme or a custom code added by it. The theme uses the following CSS code which adds the background at your end:
body {
background-color: #99acbf;
}
You can see that it works fine when a default theme like twenty sixteen is used at your end.
please advise about this
