Hi,

There is no need to use a hack to display the images properly. The theme automatically creates the necessary thumbnails needed for the blocks or big grids, from the featured image you set on the post
https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
You can use this guide to regenerate the thumbnails if they are not displaying properly
https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/
After the regeneration process is complete, please clear any caching installed.
Also as it is usually the case for most image problems, some plugin you have installed could be interfering with the theme, causing this issue. You could try to disable them all except the ones bundled with the theme, clear the cache if you have one installed, and check to see if the problem is still there.
If you try these suggestions and the result is not favorable, please provide a link to your website, so we can inspect it.

Thanks

Hello,
Unfortunately I do not quite understand exactly what you mean. Do you want your homepage blocks to show 2 posts per row instead of 1?
if this is what you are looking for then this depends on how you set up your homepage. I would require a link to your site so I can inspect the homepage.
Please provide more details exactly to what you want to achieve so we can provide the proper solution.
Thank you!

Hi,

I could modify the margin on the titles to make them appear more centered, but they are already centered
https://www.screencast.com/t/dqI0EzKA4Q
With a increased margin it would look like this – https://www.screencast.com/t/ws44oS0Rtz
You could experiment with different margin values until you achieve the desired look

.global-block-template-17 .td-related-title a {
margin-left: 25px;
}

Thanks

Hello kdannay,

I guess that you are referring to the Youtube URL video which appears on the Excerpts, right? Notice that thing happens due if your post begins with a YouTube video, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/noBT098en The Excerpts function will take over the youtube link and display at your block as an excerpt. As a quick solution, if you want to avoid this, you should set up a custom excerpt for this type of post, from post editor, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Htw92KR2 and here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/uktic02d5MZD you should insert your custom excerpts.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your message!

Hi,

I thought you wanted to change the hover color on the Latest articles section. Try the code like this to change the hover color for the title, on the modules you mention in the block Random content
https://www.screencast.com/t/BuzqdqV5x

.td_module_6:hover
.td-module-title a {
color: red!important;
}

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry but our theme modules and blocks will not grab the avatar as those functions are only destined for posts. They do not work for our theme modules. A custom function built from scratch must be added that can provide this functionality for our modules and blocks. You will need to create it in the code, not just call it on the module. A custom function must be built in td_module_single.php and then called on the module as you mention. Unfortunately as you can imagine this requires coding skills to do. We suggest hiring a freelancer to help out with creating such a function.

Thank you!

Hi,

You could achieve that like this. I added these blocks to the page
https://www.screencast.com/t/36ywCEy2u6
The first block (block 23) is set to display one post, and has the title Latest posts
https://www.screencast.com/t/EZ8lo90R
The second block (block 12) has no title and you can set the limit of posts and pagination you want for it.
The result is like this
https://www.screencast.com/t/59xVfwwejftA
https://www.screencast.com/t/o4wtqyP1
https://www.screencast.com/t/snEfyVPdiPs
Then you can disable the default Latest articles section, by selecting a different page template. Of course the blocks have the same options to filter and sort the content
https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-guide/
Hopefully this suggestion will be helpful to you.

Thanks

Hi,

It can be possible, with a shortcode. You need to edit the post template files that you want. Each post template has a corresponding single.php file and a loop-single.php file.
https://www.screencast.com/t/oMIWFDRu
By editing these templates you can insert the shortcode in the post structure, for the post templates you want.
Like in this example for post template 2, where the code is inserted above the top social sharing
https://www.screencast.com/t/RGtLW6IbQWI
https://www.screencast.com/t/4xrvqho6WA4
You could experiment with other positions in the post structure.
This is the code used in the example

<?php echo do_shortcode ('[td_block_trending_now tdc_css=""]'); ?>

Thanks

All the required size for each module can be found here ->

This is not the question I asked. I asked about featured images.

For featured images it states:

On our demo we use multiple sizes, most have around 1068 × 713 px. You also say:Depending on the module used, the best solution is to experiment with different sizes and see which one offers the best results.

That is not documentation, that is saying “just take a guess”. This also does not answer my question. To be clear, my question is:

What image size will not result in blank space on any featured image space or image module on both Retina and regular displays?

Please ensure that you are not using any optimize plugin to optimize your images and reduce the quality of these

I am not using an optimization plugin but I am using Save For Web options lowering quality, using smoothing, and stripping EXIF data. Why should this matter if the image shows up fully?

Why should an image resize differently it is optimized?

Optimization is not adjustment of size…

However, to bring best theme results you should use HD images

HD images will bring very poor results in all page speed metrics services

I have been getting very bad scores with this theme on google page speed (below 20/100!). I am attempting to increase the score.

Hello Catalin,

You are not very helpful at all. Please read with understanding. I never told you I’m trying to use this in the sidebar. I clearly described the issue I have and what I want to achieve.

I simply want to achieve this look: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-16/
Instead of what I have now: http://prntscr.com/f39pb9

If you are not able to provide working solution, can you escalate the issue to someone who actually is willing to help, please? That would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Please try the code provided below, it should fix this issue
https://www.screencast.com/t/b9UOiRMMJw
The code must be entered in Theme panel->Custom Css section

.td-magazine .td_block_template_1
.td-related-title .td-cur-simple-item {
color: #b14671;
}

Thanks

Hi,

I’ve got two locations where comments information is displayed, even when comments are turned off in WordPress and in the theme panel ‘Meta info on Modules/Blocks’.

Images with the comments links are included below. How do I remove the comments count in both cases?

Comments Link 1

Comments Link 2

Thanks,

Pete

Hi,

I can give you a Css fix, but from what I am seeing there is something wrong with the block in the sidebar. Here you can see how the block is supposed to look on one column
https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
Maybe you are not inserting the block properly, the layout of the page should look like this for the sidebar
https://www.screencast.com/t/57ZDbmmMY
Or maybe you have some custom code entered in theme panel, or through a child theme. The block should not display like that when used in the sidebar for example.

Thanks

Hi,

That is to be expected, since the theme has different styles for these headings. There could be other sections and elements affected by that modification. Please try the code provided below and see if it fixes the menu, it must be entered in Theme panel->Custom Css

.td_block_mega_menu h2 {
font-size: 13px;
line-height: 18px;
}

If the solution does not work properly, please provide a link to your website so I can give you a more accurate answer.

Thanks

Hi,

You could set a bottom border on each of the blocks you want to separate for example, and maybe add some padding as well if you want
https://www.screencast.com/t/bfZkv0gEuLvl
https://www.screencast.com/t/V3TFzanJeg
Or use a Separator element between the blocks
https://www.screencast.com/t/YiSuEvcCaPIX
https://www.screencast.com/t/kPJgwadqx
https://www.screencast.com/t/tCqg3ZQqsW
This separator element also has multiple styling options as well. Hopefully this will provide you with some ideas how to achieve something like that.

Thanks

Hi There,

I want to edit my static homepage in a way that i can control how my post are being presented.

I’ll first explain how i would like it and then i will show what i am trying to do to get this.
If there is another way (maybe easier) to achieve this please tell me.

I want my homepage just like it is right now. With the slider above and the sidebar on the right.
http://www.serinawilliams.nl/blog this is how it looks right now
The only thing I want to change is the ” latest posts ”

As you can see in this screenshot (from another website), the first post is large with the other posts being small.
http://prnt.sc/f3ydtt
I want that.

I tried adding a block to the visual composer just after the slider, but this will give me this result.
http://prnt.sc/f3ykd7
The original lay out is being pushed down

plus I can’t find a block that does what I want. One big post and the rest small.

Can somebody help me with this?

Hello,

Sorry but the mobile theme homepage cannot be edited. It is a predefined template that does not use visual composer so you cannot add block elements. sorry. If you need to have block elements on your mobile site, you will have to disable the mobile theme plugin as the theme is already responsive without the plugin. The mobile theme plugin adds more speed but limits the theme to standard templates without the use of visual composer.

Thank you!

hello,
i want to separate all blocks with 1px grey lines. please help me that how to it possible

Hi,

1. The author can also be disabled on modules/blocks if that is what you need
https://www.screencast.com/t/Mwr8eIQzj

Maybe you can find other plugins that could be useful for your website, with that capability. At the moment there is no default option to display the last updated date on the post and on pages. As I said, more options could be added in future updates regarding this, but I could not say for sure when or if this will happen.

Thanks

Hello h.mendoza,

If you want to make some changes to the style of Block 13, you should use a bit of CSS code to do that. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

.td_block_13 .td-excerpt {
padding-top:80px!important;
}
.td_block_13 .meta-info {
margin-bottom: -65px;
}

The results is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lq0Gg80B

Thanks for your understanding!

Salut Simion,

.td-header-menu-wrap.td-affix {
background-color: white;
}

.test {
margin-top: 5px;
margin-bottom: 5px;
}

.td_block_trending_now.td_block_wrap{
padding-bottom:0!important;
}
.test{
margin-bottom: 0!important;
}
.td-main-page-wrap{
padding-top:20px!important
}

De asemenea, ca și modificări în codul temei am adaugat o a doua secțiune „Sursa” și bara cu știri în header. Poate fi aici?

Similar instalării pe curat a temei este și actualizarea?

Mulțumesc!
