Hi,
The theme panel font settings are general, the ones you set in the composer will replace the theme panel settings. So all the font settings in the theme panel are replaced by the more specific ones you make for each block, grid etc.

For some reason the “random posts today” setting isn’t generating any posts on my grid. I checked out the block in the TagDiv Composer and it says “no posts”. My time is set to U.S. Eastern Time. If I change the element’s settings to anything else (including the other random post options) it shows posts.
Adding to my last reply – Im using Post Style 3 in the Newspaper theme panel (Posts settings > default post template (site wide) > Post Style 3). With the large photo/headline on top the copy underneath (first block) starts to the right like Post Style 1 does – but my photo is on top. Im thinking the ad placement is here. But in all of the previews the post page doesnt show an ad block. Help.
Hello, when editing the Flex Block 1 and 2, I can’t edit the text sizes. I also don’t seem to see the flex block font settings in the main theme font settings, am I missing something?

I need to add a block but when I edit with TD composer a section of my home page comes up as text, not editable blocks. Please advise.

Maybe you have some kind of ad blocker extension active. You could check that, I am also using the latest version of Chrome and I see the sidebar perfectly

Indeed, it seems the ajax filter is providing posts that do not belong there when used. I see you are using many plugins, the first thing to check would be plugins. This is not happening in a default theme install, it could be one of your plugins to blame.
I would suggest as a first step and quick test, to deactivate them all, leave only theme plugins active. Then clear all your caching if you have any and check the block functionality again. Let us know the results of that.

I am experiencing issues with the newspaper theme.
I am using block 4 on this page: durham diocese.org/vacancies/
Unless the user has an account on the site and is logged in, filtering the the block display of articles gives strange results.
The block is set up to display only two categories, ID 850 and 851
(Clergy and Other), if logged in then this all works fine – All gives all results from the two categories etc.
If not logged in filtering rings up other categories.
I have tried replacing the block and the same problem occurs also in other places on the site where block filters are used.
Please help.

I’m not sure what you plan to do. The theme has no functionality to show the latest articles for each of the authors of an author box. You can add a block filtered by the author though underneath each author to have a block shown the author’s latest posts.

Well i started with deleting the images from some blocks (less requests and better text to code ratio). Try to use only plugins if u really need them keep them as few as possible. Optimizing and compressing the images you post is something to do there’s several plugins wich can do that i use ewwww image optimizer (I should mention this plugin is not supported by the theme plugin TD Speedbooster).
Now the following things i recommand only if you know what you are doing because this can completely break your website. So what i did more was minifying all the css and js files i used and combined them both seperated ofcourse into one file. Created “above the fold inline css” and Preloading the combined ccs file and loading the js file asynced at the bottom and minified the html ….. thats basicly most things u can do too speed up your website.

Then the only option would be to use CSS code. I could try to give you a solution if possible, mention how exactly you want the grid to align that meta.
2. Only big grids have that effect, blocks and other elements do not have such a design.
3. There are some issues with the font settings for full big grids, I can give you a temporary fix for the font size if you should consider using it

I am not able to add any Block or grid or Widget from the Composer to the Page. I have tried changing all the settings, I have newly Updated to Newspaper 8.8 Version. But nothing happened. I am using the page setting – Page Builder – Latest Articles – Pagination and I want to add Big Grid to my home page but not able to Drag and Place the grid. Kindly Help me to solve the problem.
I am using the filter by category feature on the blocks so when you hover over the more button the category list is in the dropdown, when you select a category the menu doesn’t disappear automatically without moving the mouse off the menu.
This obviously isn’t a problem on desktop but on mobile it doesn’t make for a very user friendly interface as the menu then takes up the majority of the screen and the user has to tap outside of the dropdown which is a very small area.
I would assume this is a relatively easy fix as normally the window would close upon selection so I assume it has been purposely coded this way. If anyone would be able to point me in the right direction of the JavaScript files or how I can resolve this problem it would be much appreciated!
