It does not matter whether you sound harsh or not, it always display our level of understanding and tolerance. The main issue now is that the theme does not allow us to select slider revolution. There seem to be myriad of complications with the new updated version of the theme and thousands of people seem to be facing the same gruesome challenges.
I was able to make the theme work even though slider revolution is still unable to work for me and several people.
For those experiencing the same problem, after clearing your cache, for your browser, your CDN, and your website and any other cache that you can clear, you need to disable all the plugins except TagDiv Composer only.
But be careful because this will only work if your site is secure. Having a secure site would mean these two things, having an SSL installed on it and making sure the green key shows on the browser.
If you have an SSL on it but the green key is not showing, it won’t work. In that case you will need to install the plugin “Really Simple SSL” to make it secure. In most cases it will work.
Once, you have installed that plugin, disable all other plugins, except TagDiv plugin and Really Simple SSL plugin.
Do not try to edit your current home page using TagDiv. Leave your current home page and create another home page. This will work and you will just move and drop elements.
But there are still other problems. You may not see all the elements. You will need to search others that you cannot see by entering for instance slider, big slide, block 20, etc, on the left side where you pick the blocks.
Having done all that, it will work but the slider revolution may, sadly and regrettably, not work, as it is in my case.
I began building a Newspaper Theme site from one of the demo templates.
I want to change the Post Order and Categories in code like this:
[td_block_18 custom_title=”MUST READ” category_id=”” limit=”4″ ajax_pagination=”next_prev” sort=”random_posts”]
How do I replace the “random_posts” to sort by Date or Descending Order? And what do I put in category_id=”” to choose a category? Do I put the name of the Category or the slug?

I’m creating a news website which has a CPT news with a custom taxonomy news_category.
I have setup the CPT & Taxonomy in the Theme Panel to reflect this.
Now, when I want to display posts from news_category, I’m not given that option to do so in the block options as seen in the image below
I want to be able to select categories from my custom taxonomy news_category instead of using the WP’s Categories. How do I achieve this?

@yachtsailingcharter Yes you can use the tagdiv composer for single images as well. Please check the elements list in the new composer: https://www.screencast.com/t/218FedMCH
@travisnw if you want to continue using visual composer you can do it exactly as before. We will still be releasing updates for the plugin. We will not be adding new block elements to it though but you can use it exactly as before.
You should not use visual composer shortcodes in the tdc builder. Thyeh ave different implementations and the best way to go about it is simply to recreate the page, not copy it from one builder to another. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/visual-composer-tagdiv-composer-transition/
As for our future plans, yes we plan to further improve our own builder rather then adding content to an an external builder.
VC will still be available for people who still want to use it. We will not delete it anytime soon but we always recommend our own builder.

Yes if you split a row then the layout will be narrower.How to you want top show the content besides the block if it does not change in size? it will overlap.

Sorry but our blocks were made to ignore sticky posts as the blocks would break if sticky posts were available. The grids or blocks do not support this feature.

In the demo, “GADGET” menu is a megamenu with 5 posts. I would like to have 5 pages but I cannot find the right place to change the code.
I found the render function in td_block_mega_menu class, but I don’t understand how to force my pages to come out.
I know that hard-coding these vaules (pages’ IDs) is not the best way, but it’s the only solution I found, because there are no hooks/filter.

Dunno. I never used VC for posts, as for just such an issue as this.
I think there is a ‘conversion’ tutorial, someplace where one could do search/replace in the post meta via phpMyAdmin (just like if moving from http to https where one needs to replace image URLs — same idea).

you could search/replace with
[TDCshortcodexxx] my neato content [/TDCshortcodexxx]

On the plus side — it’s simpler to move to TDC than say, oh, SiteOrigin, or similar, where *nothing* would be compatible.
No reason to not use VC if you like it — it was just major resource hog on my dedicated server, so Radu made a ‘shim’ for us originally; which of course has evolved into the TD Composer — basically it’s the custom blocks CSS they came up with to fit their site design, along with some additional stuff like slider, so one could build a home page layout, without the bloat of VC.
However, it doesn’t have the hundred plugin/hooks/expansions of VC – obviously.
For now, I believe TD is providing it as an option … if you want it, but not required to if you don’t. For some people it’s a major “woo hoo” and for others “meh.”

My category pages on SauceMonsters.com has gaps after every 16 posts. I have a display of three blocks per row. The row with the 16th article post has two blank spots next to it and then the next row is back to three posts. How can I fix this so there are no gaps? We have been able to create various ad boxes, but the ads will not show. Let me explain in details.
The predetermined ad boxes that come along with the template (header ad, sidebar ad, article top bar, etc) work fine. Our ad tags from DFP show the corresponding ads without any problem.
Now, the problem that does come up, is whenever we created custom ad boxes.
We have created per section and site placements, DFP segregated tags, but whenever we upload these to the custom ad boxes, they will not show on the website (excepting the header and sidebar wich call the standard predetermined boxes).
The custom ad box was created as follow:

In this section: https://crunchy.life/gourmet/ you will see that there should be a 728×90 ad box between the header and above the first posts, but nothing shows (you can inspect the site and you’ll find no lines for what’s meant to be there.
Even if instead of placing a DFP tag, we place a random text, nothing will show.
Is there something we’re missing out?
