Please try to clear your cache and purge cdn files if you use it and then replace the twitter account in the counter to another account such as cocacola, to see if the correct number gets pulled. Then switch back to your own id. This should reset the counter cache. Let us know how it goes

Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Please notice that our theme does not have any such a problem regarding on CSS file dimensions and if the theme was correctly installed via FTP way, you should not have any problems. Please make a new clean install to another subdomain for testing via FTP way, clear all the caches and check the results. My computer is using only Sierra (Version 10.12.6 (16G1314)), not High Sierra. Not sure if that makes a difference. I think my work computer which is an iMac also uses Sierra and not High Sierra. I believe I tried tinkering with the cache before with no luck, but will have another go again. Not sure if this matters, but I’ve tried the theme in a localhost environment (MAMP) and also on a live site, but same effect.

Try to make a new clean install to another subdomain for testing via FTP way, clear all the caches, remove all of the untested plugins if you are using something like this, use only required plugins and check the results. Try to disable the Speed Booster and check the website with this plugin in a deactivated mode.

I am getting a search error on the google search console.
The “http: // wp-content / themes / Newspaper /” page can not be found.
When I enter the specified page, “Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_header () in /home/…../public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/index.php on line 6” is displayed. I checked index.php line 6 and there is “get_header();” code.
How can I fix it?

got major sidetrack due to being diagnosed with type II diabetes in 2014; then spent 2 years getting that under control, and 2 years “curing” it — I am now cured and drug free as of Jan 1, but I was moving a bit slowly on all fronts due to taking drugs several times a day, losing 50 lbs, hour of cardio every day, blah blah ….
Finally got around to moving our web server to HTTP/2 on May 12, 2018 (that’s how far behind I was on THAT…) …
Right now, I’ve been working through the different strategies for optimizing website based on:
A) HTTP/2
B) mod_pagespeed “on” – but tuned for bandwidth by default, then turning on select elements; optimizing config to load images via /server/path/ vs http in order to auto-generate webp format images for mobile; necessary for removing comments dynamically including stuff like TagDiv still putting in the theme version in the comments readable by bots which is invitation for hacking for edge issues with XSS and whatnot (BAD!).
C) changing approach to above the fold, due to the way HTTP/2 works; testing whether or not “front loading critical CSS” inline is needed or not; so far, using Lighthouse in Chrome, it seems to matter after all…
D) big trick is optimizing CSS to remove “unused” CSS entirely; using an online tool to scan pages, then basically generate a CSS file that is 40% smaller prior to anything else; Google’s Lighthouse now counsels on this issue, quite nicely — problem with *all* themes out there, sadly.
Since I have my own server, my optimizations are based on running number of daily updated news portals; and trying not to use external CDN and trying not to use static caching beyond opcache for PHP 7.2x and HTTP/2 et al.
Since this subject has been changing so quickly the past couple of years, the whole book thing became a bit pointless as the landscape keeps shifting.
So, again – I kind of moved over to seeing how far we could go with
– https
– php 7.2x with opcache on
– no cdn, or caching plugin in WP
– mod_pagespeed for dynamic optimizations; static /paths/to/images/
– optimized CSS and JS files
– HTTP/2 for nextgen page delivery
– yes/no above the fold critical CSS testing (still in progress!)
– yes/no placement of css/scripts header or footer (still testing!)
– yes/no on combining css and js into single files or not

Please update the theme to the latest version of it which is 8.8.1. I saw that you are using an old theme version and this could be a reason for your issues. Update it via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.

Yup, I’d have to agree as we are using this through various updates and it’s only a problem with the iMacs on High Sierra. I’ll report back after trying to reset the cache in chrome.

I saw that all of your code is minified which can cause some problems with the theme. Use default theme settings and check the results.

We updated our MAC to the High Sierra OS after initially tested with El Capitan. Then we tested the composer interface with Safari and the latest version of Chrome

We made some tests but there were no layout issues with the composer settings.
I would suggest that you try and clear the browser cache and check again. If there are still problems let us know what they are exactly, if possible by a screenshot.

I want to use both speed booster and mobile theme active, so I did remove the line from the file, but the problem persists.
I still have the menu pop out every time I change pages on the website. I tried clearing cache as well.
Is there a different solution?

I used to use WP Super Cache on my sites, however has too many issues.
Performance on WP Rocket is far better too in my experience.
Anyways back to the issue, it seems odd that grids and blocks on the homepage update but not on other pages on the site.
I did get the plugin to load but not on the homepage. The page was created by the newspaper theme and was one of the demo sites minus content. I could not get the demo to install with content after uploading via ftp it refused to install saying it lacked permission yet when I install it via wp it does not have the same issues.
The issue is NOT with the theme but with the plugin. I thought I had made that very clear, considering the title of the post is the plugin NOT the theme. I also think you failed to pay attention as I have stated that I have uninstalled WordPress and reinstalled it which means its cache no longer exists and I have also reset the server os so again no cache.

Do it via FTP way, remove all of the untested plugins, clear all the caches, purge CDN files and check the results. Some untested plugins used by you might interact with the theme core files and js files which causes a lot of unknown issues. Remove them and check the results.

Here is talking about caching plugin settings! Notice that WP Rocket is not a recommended plugin in this case. Use WP Super Cache if you want to achieve best theme results because this plugin was fully tested with this caching plugin.
