Hello,

which is the recommended method for adding custom code in the functions.php? child theme?

i have to add some filters (cause of security), so it would be good if they arent gone after an update…

It doesn’t work, I even tried to let comments.php completely empty in the child theme root.

Hi,

The files should be copy from wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/comments.php in child theme root, this should work.

Hi,

If you want to use the child theme only for css, then is no need to use child theme, our theme have a section for css -> https://i.imgur.com/eGOxqMn.png also most of elements from the website can be change using the Theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-font-customization/

I found it out. I just had to copy the file from /plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/header.php in the Child theme root folder.

What about comments.php? I cannot find a way out.

Hi there,
I would need to add the second script of GTM right after the body tag.
I used to do it by modifying the header.php in my child theme. Now that everything is in the composer plugin I have no idea how to do that.
Any help?

Thanks

Hello,

yesterday the navigation menu of my site suddenly stopped working correctly.
You cannot click/open Navigation Menu Items when they have a submenu.

This is the console error when hovering over the item:
tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=10.1:20 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'find' of undefined
at tagdiv_theme.min.js?ver=10.1:20

The error leads to that function:
setTimeout(function(b){var c=b.find(".sub-menu").show(),d=a('<li id="menu-fontsize">—').css({padding:0,position:"absolute",top:"-999em",width:"auto"}).appendTo(b)[0].clientWidth;a("#menu-fontsize").remove();c.each(function(b){b=a(this);var c=b.children(),f=c.children("a"),g=c.css("white-space","nowrap").css("float");b.add(c).add(f).css({"float":"none",
width:"auto"});

Maybe I can send you the URL of my site on a Private Message.

Thanks in advance

Hi Colin.

Thanks for the info about the files. If we choose a cloud template for showing single page posts the template file is not found in:

wp-content\plugins\td-standard-pack\Newspaper\parts\single\

But all the others are there, thank you!

Then you can copy loop-single-9.php to your child theme and things should roll.

Anyway, we implemented a custom short-code which can be placed anywhere through the template editor in a column block.

Thank you!
