Hi,
If I understand correctly you want to turn of the breadcrumbs & main menu only for specific pages, this can be done using some cloud templates for posts, categories, header, edit theme with tagDiv Composer and remove the menu and breadcrumbs, after that set the template on the posts, categories, header, pages where you do not what to have breadcrumbs and menu.
Also for page you can remove the breadcrumbs using all the page templates except the Page Builder + Page Title -> http://prntscr.com/olu6wz
Thank you!
Hi,
Thank you for choosing our theme. I will do my best to help you with your questions.
There are multiple types of blocks and grids provided by the theme. There is quite a variety of blocks designed by us that can be imported with the cloud library plugin
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
Here is some more information about the cloud plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Those blocks are based on the flex blocks and grids available in the composer
– http://prntscr.com/oldw8m
So for example if you wish to use one you can load it directly while editing a page in the composer – http://prntscr.com/oldyjh – http://prntscr.com/oldyto
There are also predefined blocks, grids and full grids
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/full-big-grid-1/
Their layout is predefined and they don’t have as many settings as the flex elements.
You can add as many of them as necessary in any page. There is no limit for how many elements can be placed in a page.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hi,
Unfortunately, this functionality was getting rid out! If you want to have any access to this functionality, you will need to use the a single template where you can add this functionality with TD Composer from the Cloud Template Library.
Thank you!
Hi,
That could be done in two ways. The first one and how it should be done, is to use a cloud header template – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Headers
Import one and modify it or create your own, these can be built with the composer so you can add as many header logos as you want – http://prntscr.com/old9vi each with their own image and URL. Here is a guide for the cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
The second one would be to edit the default header template files, these are supposed to display only one logo. They can be modified in a child theme (after the 9.7.4 update) so you can copy the one you want and modify it.
For example header style 1, copy it from here – http://prntscr.com/olddbm
To here – http://prntscr.com/olde07
Then you can modify it to display another logo, something simple would work but it depends on the header used
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/can-i-put-an-additional-linked-image-next-to-the-header-logo/
Additional CSS may be required in order to make this display and work correctly.
Thanks
Hi,
Please make sure that you have set the logo on sticky header.
Cloud Library Header Styles
If you have set a header from tagDiv Cloud Library , you need to edit that header template using header manager -> https://www.screencast.com/t/FkAe80JsuCo check the sticky menu, scroll until you see the sticky menu and click the menu and logo -> https://www.screencast.com/t/o6Z8zoJoWbFY
Thank you!
Hi,
The demo used a cloud header template, this one
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/single/header/Headers/742
These headers are built with the composer, that is how they can be edited as well. Please check in the cloud library section in the dashboard, the header should be there and you can edit it – http://prntscr.com/olc4g3
Here is some more informational about the cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
If you need help with it, let me know how would you like it to look or what modifications you want to do to it.
Thanks
Hi,
Yes, you can set a background gradient color on header, this can be achieve using custom css or using a header from tagDiv Cloud Library, click on the header zone and set the background gradient -> https://prnt.sc/olc1qh
Also I do not quite understand the second one ” theme color (fonts)”, are you referring to theme accent color ? https://prnt.sc/olc2p9
Thank you!
Hi,
Depends on the type of post template used. If for example you use a cloud post template
– https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single
Then you can simply drag and drop the author box element in the location you want, like below the post content element – http://prntscr.com/olbj5h
These cloud templates can be edited with the composer – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/ so it is easier to customize them.
On the other hand, if you use a default post template – https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-default-templates/
Then you could copy the template in the child theme and customize it (this is possible starting from theme update 9.7.4).
For example if you want to do this for post template 2, copy it in the child theme from the composer plugin (create the same directory path to the files as in the composer then copy both the single and loop-single)
– http://prntscr.com/olbksx -> http://prntscr.com/olbl5h
Then move the author box code below the content code and it should appear as you want.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
Hello !
Ok, so you will have to create a single post template, add a text with title element in it. And paste the code in the text mode as shown in the previous reply. Find out more about single post templates from the cloud library here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
Thank you !
Hi guys,
I’ve decided to convert the pages on my website build with VC to Tagdiv Composer and at the same tiume do some redesigning. I started with building a new homepage from scratch in tagdiv composer. I’ve added a few elements from the Cloud library and made some changes.
Then I noticed some strange behaviour that made me nearly lose all my work. When I save it as a concept and then want to reopen the page in tagdiv composer the page is blank. There is code in the page editor, but when I click edit in tagdiv composer there is nothing there.
If I preview the page and then click on edit with tagdiv composer I get the message ‘this content hasn’t been created with tagdiv composer’ although that’s the only editor I’ve used. So how can this be and how to solve this?
Hi,
So you get a single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library and you set it in theme panel for all post that have set the template from theme panel ( the template you chose -> http://prntscr.com/okcbxx) if is so, then you’ll need to know that the cloud templates have set the sidebar using tagDiv Composer , in order to make a sidebar for that post or to check it you’ll need to edit that single post template, one example of editing the template is to go in Cloud Templates hover the template that you want to edit and click on “Edit template” http://prntscr.com/okceja after that this will be open in tagDiv Composer -> http://prntscr.com/okceyb and you can edit the sidebar and you can add the sidebar widget if you want -> http://prntscr.com/okcft0
Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
I read the documentation for “Child theme support,” which lists the following:
– Please note that most of the child theme modifications are no longer required as the Cloud Library plugin allows you to create templates for posts, categories, tags, archives, 404 pages, author templates, search templates, etc.
– A child theme is not update proof. The files you add to your child theme will have to be replaced if they have been modified by a theme update.
Does this mean that Child themes are actually not recommended? The current Child Theme installed on my website is “Newspaper 7 Child theme,” and after installing Newspaper Version 9.7.4, trying to activate the Child Theme instead of the main theme results in a lot of problems.
Should I just stick with the main theme and ignore a Child theme moving forward, or should I install the new Child theme for the current theme?
Thanks Calin, it’s very helpful. I imported from cloud library a post template (single post template 1), then I set it to the default post template (site wide), however the sidebar of post disappears.
I read the sidebar tutorials
https://forum.tagdiv.com/sidebars-tutorial/
and checked settings in the
Theme Panel > Template Settings, Theme Panel > Categories, and the post settings.
They’re all set correctly with sidebars
The tutorial also had a method to add a widget sidebar element in the template, however I couldn’t find such element in add element.
I wonder what how to make the sidebar appear in the imported single post template.
Thanks!
Hello,
I have purchased this theme today. now i am installing this theme and everything is working fine.but when i installed td-cloud-library plugin everything is stop working.
Please help me to solving this problem
Hello !
In order to have the featured image only on preview and not in post you will have to change the post template, or you can create one from the Cloud Template: https://www.screencast.com/t/eFu0Kfzy ; https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
In order to have a featured video you will have to paste the link to your video here: https://www.screencast.com/t/NSsc7Juuwn
Thank you!
Hi,
If you are using the Latest Articles from page template then you should edit this file -> wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/loop.php
If you are using the loop or loop 2 then you’ll need to edit those files wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/shortcodes/common/tdb_loop.php – tdb_loop_2.php
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hi,
Maybe I misunderstood, sorry if I did. I was trying to explain that the composer cannot be used to edit posts, so there will be no buttons in the admin bar, only to edit the template (if a cloud template is used).
Once imported/created and saved, the cloud post templates will appear in the selection
– http://prntscr.com/ok89km
You can also rename them in order to identify them faster
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So you can import as many templates as you want, configure them as needed, then these will appear in the post edit screen. Let me know.
Thanks
Hello Simion,
Thanks for the link for the code error fix.
About Posts; Gutenberg inserting itself in the Page/Posts layout pages is a bit dis-orienting and I remember now that posts were configured pre-Gutenberg using the list of Sidebar layouts and post layouts selectable in the Theme dashboard. I’m not sure what you mean when you say;
‘While the composer allows the creation of post templates https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single through the cloud library plugin, it can’t be used to create the actual post content.”
Is there some way to view and select TagCloud Library templates within the Post layout page? I don’t find it. If not, how are we to select one of the Post templates for use on a post page?
Lon
ello !
The only way to have this feature is to do the following:
In homepage edit using the tagdiv composer and set the row layout as shown here: https://www.screencast.com/t/zQcJSXzW You only choose one sidebar not 2.
Edit the ROW and set the layout to have 1 sidebar and you can add the elements you want.
In order to have this in posts you will have to add a single post template from the cloud library: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
Thank you !
Hi,
So first you’ll need to have the tagDiv Cloud Library activate, after that go in Cloud Templates and click on add http://prntscr.com/oju0yl -> search after “blank” and check in headers -> http://prntscr.com/oju1gd click on that template and click on “create template” wait until this is build after that click “Done” after that you’ll be here http://prntscr.com/oju2ap and you can try the above steeps.
Also you can check our documentation from here http://prntscr.com/oju3r5 -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/
Thank you!
Hi,
The composer edit option won’t appear for posts, just for pages. While the composer allows the creation of post templates – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single through the cloud library plugin, it can’t be used to create the actual post content.
Regarding that warning, maybe you use this plugin and you may need to update it
– https://wordpress.org/support/topic/warning-call_user_func_array-expects-parameter-1-5/
Thanks
Hello !
You can achieve this if you are using a cloud template header. To do so you will have to do the following:
Go into your cloud library and search for a header that fits your taste: https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-manager/
After you have imported your header,
– edit it using the tagDiv Composer
– add an Inner Row under the logo
In that inner row you can add a text with title element and edit the content as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/V4dVVaWe
In this way you will be able to have a text under your logo.
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you!
Hi,
You’ll need to use a plugin like Contact Form 7 -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/contact-form-7/ take the shortcode from contact and set it in a post/ single post template( from tagDiv Cloud Library ) or in a a page.
I will try to help you with some screenshots because is more easy to understand.
After you install the plugin go back on your WP Dashboard click on Contact > Contact Forms and copy the code under Shortcode https://www.screencast.com/t/NngJWh1j after that click on pages> hover the page you have for contact and select edit with tagDiv Composer ( https://www.screencast.com/t/sqDfb18UaqP ) or you can click on the page and after is open click the button TAGDIV Composer ( https://www.screencast.com/t/4iZR8xcZb5 ).
After TD Composer is open click on add element ( https://www.screencast.com/t/rHVSES71x ), click on the row and drag it at the bottom of your page (or were you like to be your contact https://www.screencast.com/t/pPYxfNGA) and drop the row there , then search for column text then drag it and drop him on the row ( https://www.screencast.com/t/YCmZGKn5Qwn ) click on it and the in sidebar from the left click on edit Content ( https://www.screencast.com/t/75fZTYkFoy ) then paste the code there and click on save and view page ( https://www.screencast.com/t/iT5Ex0ytiu ).
See the results : https://www.screencast.com/t/fDx1SAu6
Here is some documentation : https://contactform7.com/getting-started-with-contact-form-7/
I hope this will help you.
Thank you.
Hello !
Unfortunately this option is available only with the following:
Either you change your template style from here: https://www.screencast.com/t/vlnuSwY6c
Or you can create a single post template from 0 using the tagDiv Composer: https://forum.tagdiv.com/design-post-pages-using-cloud-library-templates/
I hope this was helpfull !
Thank you !
Hi,
You could use a cloud post template, either import one that we designed (and modify what is needed) – https://cloud.tagdiv.com/#/load/Single or create your own cloud post template entirely using a blank template – http://prntscr.com/oj8w3n
In these post templates the via and source elements have an option to make the links open in new windows – https://prnt.sc/o9up4w – https://prnt.sc/o9upev
So this would be a solution for achieving the result you want. Here is a guide for the cloud library plugin – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Please let me know if you have more questions.
Thanks
