No, you can’t create new page templates. The only page templates can be check in this guide => https://forum.tagdiv.com/page-templates-2/
With our theme, you can make cloud templates and can be assigned post/categories, etc.
On the pages, you can use tagDiv Composer to add blocks with posts/images/text.

If you have cloud template and also both plugin installed(Cloud Library & TagDiv Composer plugin), then you should be able to edit a post with TagDiv Composer like in this video:

If you use default category template and not an cloud/PRO template, then you can not modify them with TagDiv Composer plugin.
Normal pages you can modify because they have another information purpose than category pages.
For modifying a category page you need to install Cloud Library and TagDiv Composer plugin, and also you should create/import an cloud/PRO template.

You can edit with tagDiv Composer only if you have a Category Template from Cloud Library.
Unfortunately, for Category Siblings the theme doesn’t have the option to choose, you can change the limit, but you can’t choose what categories will be displayed.

We need the availability and option to use the TD composer in posts and not just as a cloud template. There is times that a cloud template will not be useful when needing to customize a unique custom posts. This option should be available as well as overriding what cloud template that it is using.
AND
Please make the TD composer available for woocommerce pages. If we have the availability to customize these woocommerce pages with the TD composer then the td composer will be the #1 wordpress visual designer in the market. Elementor and WP Bakery sucks compared to the td composer when designing visually. Please Tag Div make this happen.

With our theme, you can use Single Post Templates from tagDiv Cloud Library, and you can edit them with tagDiv Composer (remove/edit author box). Using Single Post Template you can set one of theme like Global and for posts that you want to be different, you can assign individual single post template.

It seems you use default templates, so in this case you can customize the design only from theme panel settings.
But if you will install Cloud Library plugin and create/import a cloud/PRO template you will have access to the plugin settings.

Gossip Pro Demo is a Prebuilt Website Pro built with tagDiv Composer and Cloud Templates.
The sidebar and all design were made with tagDiv Composer, therefore this can not be achieved with the classic editor.

I have tried your suggestion as well as disabled all plugins and with Cloudflare disabled and still have not resolved the issue.
I followed your suggestions. I also realized that I had not Enabled the newspaper mobile plugin (it was off) then cleared local cache – just cleared cloudflare cache – and it works.
Can you please confirm on your end the images are now showing?

You can apply a filter using an element by editing a category with TagDiv Composer plugin.
For example if you have a PRO/cloud template you can add the element called “Posts Loop”, where you can filter the posts you want from that category with the “Sort order” option.
And if you have the default template, then you have an option in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Categories -> Category global settings -> Category pull-down filter.

I’m trying to set up a post to display an audio player.
I’m using the single post podcast template from the cloud library, but it only works when I use the featured audio option from soundcloud. I installed the featured audio plugin from the wordpress plugin library, but the template seems to be not working with it.
Is there any way to make the template work with an audio file stored in my wordpress library?

If you using a single post template from Cloud Library then you need edit with tagDiv Composer,

You can’t duplicate a “category template” for assigning it to author template(the category template can be duplicated and used for the same type).
Please try to import another Author Templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/gq3O7bPy and see if the problem persist.

In most cases when you get a similar message “ Error at zones: 6(models) : 5(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)” then indeed it is a problem, most of the time the problem is from a shortcode that is not compatible with our theme, therefore after you set it with tagDiv Composer and save the page/cloud template, the next time when you try to edit it, you’ll get that error.

When adding custom post types to my template they use the default theme template (wp-content/themes/Newspaper/loop-single.php) file instead of the themes post template.
This includes a very different layout and does not include a header image or sidebar or sharing tools or a lot of the other stuff related to the basic post template. Note that it is not using the template set in Post Settings -> Default post template (site wide) but rather a generic template set in the theme.
I have tried many different settings in the theme panel under Posts Settings ->Custom Post Types and Under CPT & Taxonomy for each post type.
Ideally the ability to create a custom cloud template for each post type or at least inherit the default template.
I know WordPress and how to make a custom child template file single-customposttype.php but then I will end up writing a lot of code just to make it inherit stuff form the main template file, like share buttons, colour coded categories …etc.
