How do I change the size of the image box. It is square. I want it rectangular
Hi,
If the tagDiv composer is not working properly, the chances are that Visual composer will not work properly as well, at some point.
This can be caused by insufficient resources. Please check the theme system status and make modifications to the WordPress and server parameters mentioned in this guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Ask your hosting provider to make them for you if needed. Then check if the tagDiv composer works as intended.
Please note that over future updates there will be a considerable amount of options added for the tagDiv composer only.
You can continue to use Visual composer, if you don’t want to use the tagDiv composer.
Thanks
Hi,
Please provide more details about what you are trying to do and what is the problem. The theme works properly with Visual composer. There should be no issues placing grids and block on pages, using Visual composer

Thanks
Hey Catalin Thanks for the reply.
Tagdiv composer is not active on the main site. It is active on the development site but have already unactivated it and tested before and it makes no difference to the issue.
On the development site, with only VC activated the problem still persists – http://www.mcnews.com.au/newsite/rossi-is-the-greatest-of-all-time/

Hello PAPPACLART,
If you have TD Composer active, try to disable it and use only VC Composer because if you have both plugins active, might appear some conflicts. Also, if you are using other untested plugins, try to disable all of them and leave just to active only the required plugins, clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
It would be helpful if you could provide a link toy your website so we can inspect it. That should not happen, it seems the post content is displayed through the sidebar.
If you use Visual composer please try and deactivate the tagDiv composer plugin, and see if this has any effect.
Thanks
The Tagdiv composer is very bad, it does not load the options when I add.
Can I continue using Visual Composer?
Hi, I am trying to show page articles on homepage using Big grid and block inside of visual composer. But not able to do despite going through your forum. I can see options for post only.
Please help
Hello Catalin Thanks for the reply.
Very few of my articles have no sidebar. I noticed the problem when I decided to make an article without a sidebar. The articles with a sidebar are fine.
http://www.mcnews.com.au/2018-honda-gold-wing/6/ Just to show you, at the bottom of the page I added a slider block and as you can see it aligns to the left. Any Newsmag specific block/grids I add to a post page (with no side var) will always align left. Normal VC elements will align correctly.
The above example is on the live website. Like I mentioned I updated my development site to the latest version of the theme and VC and still have the same problem.
Also, and additional issue, sometimes as you will see in the link that some visual composer code shows.
Thanks
Regards
Ryan

Hello,
If you want to replicate the design of a category on a page, you can do it by adding td composer blocks and using offsets: https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-block-settings-tutorial/
Please use this guide to learn how to use the page builder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thank you!
Hi,
That was a decision at the moment the theme was created. Visual composer should be used only for posts. However there are users which built their posts with the composer. It can be enabled if it is absolutely required for your website
– https://www.screencast.com/t/8Av3bNt06nNc
Please take into consideration that a considerable amount of options and features will be added to the tagDiv composer only, in coming updates. This composer is created specially for the theme, it’s functionality will increase in future updates
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-composer-tutorial/
Thanks
Hi,
The composer does not have a widget or element created specially for PHP code. If you require such an element you could maybe try plugins that have the option. Or maybe try a solution like this
– http://www.wpstuffs.com/how-to-execute-php-code-in-text-widget-without-using-plugin/
– http://www.helpersways.com/2015/09/use-php-code-in-wordpress-widget-without-plugin.html
Thanks
Hi,
From what I can see the plugin you mention is a page builder. You should try and use one of the two page builders provided with the theme. Either WPBakery page builder (Visual composer) or the tagDiv composer (this front-end page builder is built specially for the theme).
These are tested and work properly with the theme. Please note that we will considerably improve the features and options offered by the tagDiv composer in the next theme updates.
Thanks
Perfect deactivating tagdiv composer corrected the issue. I thought they both worked in tandem. Thank you.
Hi,
I made the front page of the Newspaper theme (with the ‘Tech News’ demo) full-width using the tagDiv composer, but the ‘Front Page’ heading won’t align fully to the left, so it looks out of place. How can I fix that?
It can be seen here: https://imgur.com/a/5zeu5
Hi,
I am having this problem in my homepage the moment i tried to add a slide of video posts.
I saw other posts which had the same problem, but yet i have not used VComposer in my homepage neither have i WP super cache plugin.
Please let me know what should i do!
Okay after researching some more I figured out what the issue is we’re having – and I’m sure that a lot of other people with the theme have as well.
We have a static front page with pagination (trendblog.net). WordPress and Yoast think it’s a static page and therefore we have a pagination problem with missing rel=”next” und rel=”prev” in the head.
We also have problems with canonicals. So on trendblog.net/page/2/ the canonical is shown as trendblog.net although it should show trendblog.net/page/2/. This is because WP and Yoast think it’s static and set the canonical to that static URL (trendblog.net).
I came across one potential reason, which might have to do with visual composer, which creates the pagination kind of “on the fly” AFTER the important section in the head which determines if the page is purely static or has pagination. Therefore Yoast thinks it’s just a static page.
Don’t know if this hypothesis is correct, but it clearly an issue nevertheless.
This pagination and canonical issue is bad SEO practice according to Google.
Can you please have a closer look at this since it probably impacts other users of Newsmag who have pagination on their front page.
Thanks

Hello,
I bought Newsmag, and I have a problem with a component. When I edit a big grid with Visual Composer, I have the possibility to make an invisible row through a check box. If I check the box, it does not work, it’s always visible. How can I solve this problem? I really need this feature, could you tell me how can I do?
Thank you vey much.
Kind fregards.
Hi, I am having problems with Big Grids. As you can see in https://wanerd.com/pagina-de-inicio/ when I add a Big Grid, there is an issue after it. I have tested to deactivate all the plugins, and to do the page with tagDiv Composer and with WPBackery Visual composer, but the problem continues… Can anyone help me?
Hi there. I recently reinstalled Newspaper after a botched update attempt (I tried migrating our current site’s database to the test site with the intent of migrating everything back over to our real server with the new theme and updated database. This went badly). I downloaded and installed the latest version of the theme and am trying to rebuild my site; specifically, the homepage. When I use TagDiv Composer, I’ll drag an element onto the page (In this case, a Big Grid) and nothing happens. The “rows” appear to be generated, but there’s no content in them. Small blocks do appear (however, none of the graphics show up in them). This was working just this morning.
I’ve already deactivated all of the plugins but the TagDiv ones (again, all of these plugins were working fine with the theme this morning). I’ve essentially lost six months of work (not your fault; this was all me), but I can’t rebuild anything I had for some reason. Am I missing something blatantly obvious?
But why? What’s the fundamental difference between the two that would cause TD Composer to not work w/posts?
Hi there
I’d like to add a block of PHP code into the side panel using tagDiv composer. Can I do this? If not, which is the best way to do this?
Thanks
Hi,
I’m new to the theme.
When I try to begin building a page, the column that is automatically added by TD Composer is misplaced, a little to the left, as shown is the prints bellow:
https://ibb.co/gXFg2b
https://ibb.co/enj8hb
Any help?
Regards,
Rafael
Hello,
This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.
If you are trying to edit a page that has been created previously with another page builder, you will not be able to do so. The page has to be created from scratch using the tagdiv composer.
Thank you!
