This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Also, I have inspected your website and I saw that you are using some untested plugins which can interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues like this.

From your screenshot I see that the text editor has the options you mention, but maybe the problem is that you cannot use them. If you reverted to a previous version of the theme, use the Visual composer version that is provided with that theme version.
Try deactivating and deleting the current version, and install that one. It should work properly. Please let us know if there is still a problem.

You should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it. I suppose that you are using our page builder TD COmposer and in the past, your buttons have been added with Visual Composer and most likely, that’s why you bring the shortcodes buttons because our page builder does not recognize it. Provide your website for more investigations. If is not what you mean, provide more details about your problem.

There should be no problem in using the Revolution slider. If you updated the theme to version 8, please update the plugins as well including the revolution slider. Deactivate it and delete it, then install the new one from the latest theme package.

If you use Visual composer deactivate the TagDiv composer from the plugins section, this is activated by default when the theme is updated or installed for the first time.
If you want to use the new editor, you must recreate all the pages with it

Also check the theme system status and see if the parameters mentioned in this guide are set properly

This will ensure the proper functionality of the theme and plugins.
Then try placing the revolution slider on the page you want. If the page was built with Visual composer use it to place the slider. Do not edit pages built with one editor, with the other.

Hi, is it possible to insert a shortcode from another plugin (thrive leads) into the page using the tagDiv composer?
I have tried using raw html and text element but neither seem to work. Is there another way or insert shortcodes or do they not work with tagDiv composer due to being a shortcode within a shortcode?
I’ve been editing my site the tagdiv composer but suddenly it has stopped working. The last thing I did was ad some ads to my sidebar. I have not installed any new plugins or anything.

Hi Guys, we’ve registered a new custom block but there is no option for a ‘Custom title for this block:’ in the visual composer?
Params are as follows;

Should the option be part of the general_array or are custom titles not allowed on custom blocks.

Hi Guys,
After installing a plugin called (Contact Form 7 – PayPal Add-on Pro) my Screen Options -> Post Settings Panel no longer show in the post editor.
Unfortunately, there are no error messages meaning I have no clues as to why this is happening and a potential fix.
Are there any known errors like this?

I got this working … i had to deactivate/delete Visual Composer and then manually upload Newspaper-tf/plugins/js_composer.zip and activate it.
I also cannot use Visual Composer – trying to Add and element does nothing, and Choose Layout Option just gives me a spinning ajax loading graphic which I’ve waited for over 2 minutes. On our Newspaper system status page everything is okay (green or gray) except Caching (which we don’t want) and Speed Booster (which disabled itself v4.1 – Disabled – incompatible plugin detected: all-in-one-event-calendar-extended-views/all-in-one-event-calendar-extended-views.php).
We are using Newspaper on 2 websites now and I’m on a 3rd website with WordPress 4.8 installed just today, I’ve uploaded the Newspaper 8 theme by FTP and all plugins are active except for WP User Avatar which I turned off and deleted – after I was alredy having problems.
Any assistance getting me back up and running would be appreciated.
It have no sense to make Pages with content with your new tagdiv composer

Thank you for getting back to me. I thought the drop in traffic may have been temporary as well, but after 10 days I had no choice but to roll back to v7. This is a serious issue for me because it impacted not only traffic, but revenue as well. I lost money on Adsense and from affiliates that I will never be able to recover.
I reviewed all of the material you sent and we did everything by the book. Google Analytics code was fine, page speed was great, and the only other change was installing version 8. The only thing we didn’t do was implement your new tagDiv Composer because I don’t have time to rebuild all my pages.
I do need to get Text Block editing working again so I can update content, so I need your help. Let me know what additional information you need.

For now, we have deactivated the TagDiv composer as we need to test it before.
Unfortunately though, the problem with the huge text section couldn’t be solved.
Also, a button at the top of the page has gone missing, even though he is properly set up.

You can use visual composer just as before. We do not restrict the use of VC. But you will have to keep in mind that in the future we will add no new features to the visual composer plugin. We will only add new features to our own tagdiv composer. We will still provide updates to vc but no new blocks or grids.
We will be able to provide older theme versions via email.

If i download and upload a fresh copy of the theme, will it delete all the pages i created?
Like i make 7-8 pages using visual composer and i added content to it as well . Made all settings. And added plugins etc. My site is complete and running with content.
Will all of them be gone if i upload a new copy through FTP ?
Try this method:
Step 1 – Install both the Visual Composer and tagDiv Composer plugins.
Step 2 – The page has to be recreated using the new page builder. You will have to build a new page and edit it with the tagDiv Composer replicating your original page (made with Visual Composer).
Step 3 – Save the page. Replace your homepage with the newly created one. You can always revert to the original page if you encounter any problems.
Step 4 – Disable visual composer as it is not recommended to keep both plugins active.
Important Note: Do not use both page builders on the same page!
