Really great idea to load Visual composer as a plugin – I was using it on my previous template and miss some of the extra modules.
Any idea on the time-scale for the next update? I appreciate it is complex work you are unrtaking and appreciate your dedication to supporting this excellent theme.

We will update the plugin to latest version in the next update and will be as a plugin that you have to install it, we will remove it from base theme.
Then you can try the extension to and see if works.

Probabil apare ceva conflict cu codul, ai verificat de erori in consola? Acolo e un javascript nu este un HTML. Incearca codul direct in fisiere si vezi daca merge.
O sa scoatem cant de curand un fix pt 3.9, este mai complicat, trebuie sa facem update si la visual composer, au stricat o gramada cu versionea 3.9.
Mai asteapta, pt versiunea 3.9.

if you add the big slide using Visual composer you have a filter there, but I don’t think you can do something about the ordering .

I’d also like to see the Visual Composer updated to the latest version.
I’ve downloaded an extension called “Ultimate Visual Composer Add ons” (http://codecanyon.net/item/ultimate-addons-for-visual-composer/6892199)
Its saying that the Visual Composer plugin requires version 3.7.2 or greater.
Some of the features of this extension look brilliant. Since I’ve already purchased it it doesn’t really matter but It would be great if this extension was included in Newspaper by default!

Hi there,
I have also seen on my install that when I use the visual composer and try to edit content that the visual tab shows no content. I can only see content when I view in text. If I switch to classic I can see both visual and text but cant see the shortcodes drop down in the menu bar?
Also with the new font setup I have lost the ability to customise the font <h> settings which was useful in the old setup. Can this be added back in?
Most theme developers license the Visual Composer code to create custom integration with the site, admin panel, etc. This is integrated with the theme and must be tested with the customizations whenever a new version is released. This is why it’s not showing as a separate plugin. You didn’t get a full license to the plugin with purchase of theme. A licensed version of the code is included as PART OF the theme. Hope that helped. đ

I have saved templates on my visual composer. I choose one of my templates to add a new post and the content appears, but once I go inside the content to edit the content is not there, instead there is an html that I only see if I mark the whole text – see image –

I sent you a ticket a moth ago about google map element not working on visual composer.it doesnât appear on the post. on my older posts I added ânew elementâ- âgoogle mapâand after the first post I saved a visual composer template so every time I added a new post I just needed to change a google map link and it was just fine. This time I did the same. When it didnt work i tried to add new element of google map and it still didnt work.
You wrote me back that the new link from Google maps doesnât work anymore since Google changed the API and that you will take a look.
Do you have any news regarding this?

I’m going to guess that there will be minor update to the theme next week, mainly to update the Visual Composer compatibility with WP 3.9
HOWEVER: you should always update WP and BuddyPress together, as BP updates may be built upon fixes for latest edition of WP. See the BuddyPress “changelog” to see what they added to update — if it says “updated for WP 3.9 changes,” pretty obvious you should upgrade to WP 3.9 for BuddyPress.
(AND BACKUP YOUR SITE BEFORE DOING MAJOR UPDATES!)

I’m having this problem too. Maybe updating VC to the latest version in the next theme update might solve it?

The only work around I have so far used is to click on the Text tab. Right now having to create new content with the text tab and not the visual tab.
