I am using the **Newspaper Theme** with the **tagDiv Composer** for page building and have chosen to use the **Polylang** plugin (free version) for multilingual content, as I am already committed to this tool. I understand your documentation primarily recommends WPML, but I am seeking a workaround/solution for Polylang.
**The Problem:**
When creating a new translation (e.g., from English to Hindi) for a page built entirely with the tagDiv Composer, the new page is created but the **Composer’s layout is blank**, requiring me to rebuild the entire page structure manually for every language.
**What I Have Tried (Based on Polylang best practices):**
1. I have set the Polylang synchronization option for **Custom fields** to be checked/active. This is normally what copies page builder data.
2. I have also checked **Taxonomies**, **Featured image**, and **Page template** synchronization.
**My Goal:**
Is there an officially recommended method or a known configuration setting within the tagDiv Theme Panel that ensures the entire **tagDiv Composer structure** (the shortcodes/page data) is copied over when using the Polylang translation feature, similar to how it works with WPML?
Specifically, where does the tagDiv Composer store its page data, and can this meta key be whitelisted or synchronized by Polylang?
Any guidance on maintaining page layouts across languages with Polylang would be highly appreciated.

Hi Calin, we did update to 12.7.2 but the plugin updated to 5.4.1 not 5.4.2. Now when we trying to update the system says we already are on the most updated version so it doesn’t update. Please let me know how we can get 5.4.2 for TagDiv Composer (the one with the patch)

I am experiencing a persistent issue with my post excerpts (teasers) when they are displayed on my homepage and archive pages using your theme.
The Problem:
The theme is stripping out paragraph breaks (the <p> HTML tag) from the post excerpts, causing the text to be displayed as one single, dense block. This happens regardless of whether the excerpt is:
Automatically Generated from the post content.
Manually Entered in the “Excerpt” meta box.
What I Have Tried (and failed with):
Custom Excerpt: Writing manual excerpts with HTML tags (e.g., <p>Text</p>). The tags are still removed.
Advanced Excerpt Plugin: I installed and configured the Advanced Excerpt plugin, ensuring the option to allow HTML tags was active. The theme seems to override the plugin’s functionality, and the paragraph breaks are still removed.
My Question:
Is there a specific setting within the Theme Panel, a tagDiv Composer Block setting, or a PHP filter that I can use in a Child Theme’s functions.php file to specifically allow the <p> tag (paragraph breaks) in the post excerpts displayed in your post listing blocks (like Flex Blocks)?
I only need the paragraph formatting (<p>) to remain intact to improve readability.

I’m experiencing severe performance and stability issues with the Newspaper theme and the TagDiv Composer. Even with proper caching enabled — Redis Object Cache plus WP Super Cache — the server load rises very quickly after only a few editing or viewing actions.
My site runs on an Infomaniak CloudServer (4 vCPU, 12 GB RAM), and yet PHP memory usage spikes drastically whenever multiple posts are opened or edited, or just visited by users, which results in 503 and 429 errors.
Additionally, I’ve observed that multiple duplicated MySQL queries are being sent to the database for a single page load, which suggests there’s room for optimization in the theme’s database handling.
I’ve also seen several other users report the same issue with the Newspaper theme after their sites have grown large over time.
Could you please clarify what exact details or logs you need from me to investigate this issue properly?

TD composer is sending so many unneeded internal queries to the site that even if having a powerful cloud server, it blocks the access and get tons of 500 and 429 errors

Using the newspaper theme, you can have social share on articles by adding them with the theme builder tagDiv Composer.
If you want the social to be on blocks, unfortunately, this is not possible at this moment, sorry!

You can use the theme builder tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud library and make the website as you like. If you want the block to have an image, title, and some excerpt, after that a read more button, then it can be done. If you need to set that code on your post templates on Newsmag, then you can set it on those files (depending on the template you are using):
For default file – wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/loop-single.php
For post styles 1-8 – wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newsmag/parts/single/loop-single-1->8.php

There are only 2 possibilities:
1. Create the sidebar for each page using tagdiv Composer and copy and paste the elements from one page to another.
2. Using widgets, you can not create the sidebar using tagDiv Composer, but you cna use tagDiv Composer to add the sidebar widget and have it the same on all pages, and when you edit something in widgets, it will be reflected on all pages.

We know WPML might work a bit differently with other themes, but with the Newspaper theme, translations for pages and cloud templates are handled through the built-in TagDiv Composer.

Pages can not be saved as templates (as cloud templates for posts, categories …), what can be done is to create a duplicate of the page you want to keep as a template and use it.
We tested only the Elementor free version with our theme; Elementor Pro has not been tested, therefore, we can not say if it is working correctly or not with the theme. Also, if you choose to use another builder other than the theme builder, then it should be used only on new pages, not on those that are already created with the theme builder.

Good day, I am using 2 Prebuilt Websites. Is it possible for me to create new pages using the recommended TagDiv Composer and save them as templates in case of any changes, or do I have to customise the Prebuilt Websites as they came? The situation is as follows, when you deactivated the tagDiv Composer and tagDiv Cloud library plugins on the site, you only had shortcodes displayed, that is, text, as a result, the delivery time becomes very fast because only one query is made to the database that brings only text to that page, this is simple, easy and fast to interpret, while when these plugins are active and blocks are used that display articles, ctegories, menus, cpts…, images, texts, background images, different functionalities … it is normal for the duration to be a little longer, but if the site is well optimized it should be under 2 seconds.

Hello, we have issues with page responsivness – loading times on page http://www.modre-novice.si. We host on highest performance LiteSpeed server. We tried to optimize page with suggested cache plugin WP Super Cache – still not good, than we optimized it with liteSpeed cache – dedicated cacheing plugin for litespeed servers and it was a bit better but still too slow for an news portal.
We asked host to check on it and these were theirs findings:

I checked the status of the website and ran a fairly simple test to see how long the initial response time is. I noticed that the response time for the website itself is indeed as described by the client — it takes more than two seconds for the main page to load.
I reviewed the server settings to see if there was anything that could still be optimized, but it seems the configuration is fine and nothing major has been overlooked. I then started looking into the application itself, so I began disabling WordPress plugins to identify which ones have the biggest impact on performance.
First, I disabled the top half of the plugins, but there was no noticeable change. Then I re-enabled them and repeated the process for the bottom half, where it turned out that some plugins could be problematic. When I started disabling the plugins one by one, I found that the “tagDiv Cloud Library” plugin, when disabled, reduced the total page render time by half.
I continued and disabled the “tagDiv Composer” plugin as well, which significantly reduced the load time even further — down to around 320 ms.
Usually, these modules for building and designing websites generate code that, unfortunately, isn’t very optimized for loading speed, even though the end product often looks nice. When I look at the website’s source code, the first thing I notice is that the <head> section is quite large and contains a huge amount of data.
The <head> tag stretches all the way to line 353 in the source code, and there’s a lot going on in that part of the code. This affects how quickly the browser can start loading the content from the <body> section. If there’s too much “bloat” in the <head> area, the browser has to process all of that before it can begin rendering any content.
My suggestion would be to review this page builder and consider replacing it with something else that would ultimately produce better performance.
If you decide to move to a VPS server, it will definitely be able to handle more of these “slow” requests compared to shared hosting. In addition, once the server is actually under load, we can recheck some parameters, and if the page still doesn’t load as expected (in this case, around 2.5 seconds is a typical result for an uncached single request), we can then increase certain limits on the server to achieve higher throughput.

What is the solution here?
My layman’s question is whether the website still works and looks the same when those two plugins are disabled? Namely, the news or posts are generated in the classic way under “Posts” without using these specific plugins. I’m wondering if they can remain disabled and only be turned on when needed — for example, when editing content on individual pages (and not on posts).
As for the tagDiv Cloud Library, it seems that this plugin provides the layouts for the posts themselves, the archive page, category pages, etc. Does the website’s visual structure break if this plugin is disabled?

Yes, if the problem is local, it is indeed harder to check.
What I can recommend is to make sure that the same plugins from the old version are still installed, especially the tagDiv Composer, tagDiv Cloud Library and tagDiv Standard Pack plugins. It would also help if you could provide some images or a video of the problem.

If the woo attribute filter is not displaying in composer elements, that means you are on a page and not on an archive template. Only those can use those filters and those are used on woo categories. You can create a woo category archive template from here – https://i.imgur.com/h9m4ckg.png

Just a quick note regarding using the Newspaper theme with WPML:
For each page or template created with tagDiv Composer, you’ll need to duplicate it for the desired language in order to create a translated version. Once duplicated, you can edit the content using the tagDiv Builder keeping the original layout if you like, or adjusting it as needed for the translated version.
That automatic translation through WPML is only available for articles and pages made with the WordPress editor. Pages or templates created with builders like tagDiv will need to be translated manually.

Whenever I try to edit any pages with the TagDiv Composer I get a “Ooops… Error 404 – Sorry, but the page you are looking for doesn’t exist.” I have tried this will all the pages on my site. I confirmed all the plugins are installed and the sever settings are correct.
