Hi,

Yes, it is because the Adsense switch, as the Adsense banners use this css class .td-g-rec-id-header so just add the css below to fix this: http://screencast.com/t/r6NWw4sqztv

.single .td-g-rec-id-header {
margin-bottom: 50px;
}

Thanks

Normally we convert ALL fonts to Open Sans (with Newspaper, anyway); so typically we would open the style.css, search/replace all fonts to what we want, then edit the functions.php … but now would edit the td_fonts.php to REMOVE all the google fonts not being used; this ensures they don’t “print” in the head/foot of the posts online.

I have not yet done this for the fonts.

For our sites we have to do the following each update
1) update the hook for the post views to “views” from existing field
2) edit the search file to remove breadcrumbs (I don’t need those on indexes for each story)
3) edit functions.php to put various elements for us at bottom, such as changing default compression for images/thumbs, adding note to poke hackers trying the lost password function, turn off XMLRPC elements in header, remove Yoast from menu bar in admin, hide header elements like versions, hide use of visual composer, etc. — many common “optimizations” for WordPress sites.
4) edit header to remove the section for video thumbnails and this stupid thing
<link rel="pingback" href="<?php bloginfo( 'pingback_url' ); ?>" />
5) optimize the fonts, by doing the aforementioned house cleaning on style css file, and removing the extra google font calls.

Your mileage may vary 🙂

Actually … I think this is setup differently from Newspaper; in doing quick looksee, in the /includes/wp_booster/

I think one would *actually* edit the td_fonts.php

look at line 902

if(!in_array('g_438', $td_user_fonts_list)) {//'g_438', //Open Sans
wp_enqueue_style('google-font-opensans', td_global::$http_or_https . '://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:300,400,600,700&subset=latin,cyrillic-ext,greek-ext,greek,vietnamese,latin-ext,cyrillic'); //used on menus/small text

I think you would need to edit that to add in both the italic and the 200 font.

Wait for Lucian or Marius with official help, though. This was just me doing quick look-see. (I have not yet actually done this with NEWSMAG…!)

Best way is to remove the font calls to Google from the functions.php file, then manually put the calls to Google CSS at bottom of your styles.css file. Kind of advanced, but I covered how to do this in detail in the Newspaper theme forum.

OK. There is another mistake but this can be resolved in CSS.

@Mark Clifford this is the error i took from ur site…

Consider using ‘dppx’ units, as in CSS ‘dpi’ means dots-per-CSS-inch, not dots-per-physical-inch, so does not correspond to the actual ‘dpi’ of a screen. In media query expression: only screen and (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 2), only screen and (min-resolution: 144dpi)

Hi,

Use this css to target the blockquotes pararaphes and overwrite the theme’s styles: http://screencast.com/t/f806sTQQ9
#spMainContainer .spBodyContainer .spTopicPostSection .spPostContentSection blockquote p{
color: white;
}

Regarding the scrolling can you be mare specific as I’m not sure I understand and haven’t noticed anything.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestion, we will consider it. Please use custom css to fix the padding issue you have on this post, like this: http://screencast.com/t/WF8osvvlq
Please note that this happens because you use the page builder on posts which beaks the layout of posts because it needs full width container.
Here is the css which helps you to fix this:

.post-37 .td-post-content {
padding-right: 0px;
padding-left: 0px
}

Hope this helps!

Thanks

Hi,

First add this code: http://pastebin.com/gCpuLN8z to the functions.php file like this: http://screencast.com/t/8G4gk4zL

Then add this code: http://pastebin.com/ZDmuhYzH into single.php file, like this: http://screencast.com/t/kaP50qRvJAC

Use this custom css: http://screencast.com/t/qCDdkgMO

.block-titleee span {
background-color: #000000;
z-index: 1;
color: white;
font-family: 'Roboto Condensed', sans-serif;
padding: 3px 10px 3px 10px;
font-size: 20px;
line-height: 32px;
font-weight: normal;
margin-bottom: 10px;
}
.block-titleee {
border-bottom: 2px solid #000000;
}

.container_div .children {
margin-top: 10px;
}

Thanks

Hi,

Glad you managed to get it done. You could use this css snippets to style the logo on each screen width:

/* responsive phone */
@media (max-width: 767px) {
}

/* responsive portrait tablet */
@media (min-width: 768px) and (max-width: 1018px) {
}

/* responsive landscape tablet */
@media (min-width: 1019px) and (max-width: 1200px) {
}

/* responsive monitor */
@media (min-width: 1201px) {
}

You can also chose a different header style and set a logo for mobiles but that way you wont have a full width logo anymore, unless you are fine with that.
Hope this helps!

Thanks

Hi,

1. Unfortunately we have some issue with tagdiv social counter plugin but first please make sure you use it right: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-manage-the-social-counter/
If still doesn’t start working please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com specifying this in your subject and we will send you the fixed version of this plugin as we had some issue with it and we managed to fix them but the new version of this plugin won’t be available until next theme update.

2. Please use this custom css in theme panel > custom css filed to get this result: http://screencast.com/t/mfzd65irNwQF

.bos_searchbox_widget_class {
margin-left: 3px;
margin-bottom: 40px;
}

3. Please edit the page an make sure that are switched between them and if so try to edit each one and just switch settings, customize the first as the one above and vice versa.

4. This happens because the block “DINTORNI DI MONACO” is added into a new row. Try to add it in continuation of the other blocks from above: http://screencast.com/t/Uf8ZxzsGU
Hope this helps!

Thanks

Is it possible to deactivate the responsive mode of the Theme? Or is it possible to delete fast every @media at the style.css?

Steven
tagDiv Member

Just add Css Code like this for different blocks on the home page…

Where it say block6 you just have to change the # of the block on ur home page and the color you want as well..

Make sure you edit each block and remove any background color and change the text color to what you want like #ffffff also change the “Title style” from default to style 1 and then save your settings..

Then go to theme settings and in the CSS Box you add the code like what i have below with ur own color and the block that you want to use on the home page..

.home .td_block6 .block-title {
background-color: #008000;

check my site @ https://jahliveradio.com and see a preview of the homepage also the sidebar…

Hi,

What else can do is to enlarge the image via CSS, but this is only an enlargement not a cropping image. Provide a link to take a look.

Hi,

You can make the footer full width by adding the following css inside the Theme Panel -> Custom CSS: – http://screencast.com/t/7vQgLpj8

.td-footer-container {
width: 100%;
}
.td-footer-container .td-pb-row {
width: 1021px;
margin: 0 auto;
}

If you want to change the number of columns you can do it from the Theme Panel – http://screencast.com/t/5VWoL1q31http://screencast.com/t/2VPN8P6R8Wed

I have used this on newspaper and now this theme, here is a simple way without a plugin

enter your face book page name here and grab the iframe code

https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages

and just follow these directions and wrap the iframe with the div tags and put it in a text widget in your sidebar and paste the code in your custom css, works like a charm

Hi,

You can do this via custom css like this: http://screencast.com/t/nO5gL12q6XF
Use this css and change the color as you like:

.td-social-wrap-64 .block-title {
background-color: #000000;
}

If this dose not help please provide your site’s URL as I need to inspect this so I can offer you an accurate solution.

Thanks
