Hi,
Again thanks for all the efforts, but you need to keep in mind that most of the sites that use Newspaper theme are actually news and media sites. They have ever-changing content on the home page and you need to test out a better cache plugin compatibility. Wp fastest cache has become old and mundane.
Issues we are facing:
1) We were using Speed Ninja plugin with 9.5 theme, and it was giving us great results in GTmetrix and google speed index. However, with the new 9,6 update, there are compatibility issues on the mobile. The front page only loads and articles do not load or if they load the style sheet is missing and everything looks like plain HTML. Can you please check its compatibility or tell us which other plugins we can use to get back to 90+ level on Google speed index, because we tried your tutorials and super cache, and nothing is working. We have right now disabled the SNP plugin. So that site works at least.
2) With the new amp plugin we are getting over 400 errors in the very first few hours of updating, none of the new articles are showing as AMP.
3) The 3 bar menu from amp is missing.
4) There is no infinite loading on the mobile theme. Since many come from mobile only, we were hoping it will come this time. When can we expect that?
5) How can we minify CSS and javasript? Since WP fastest cache does not do that.
6) The URL is not changing on autoload on the desktop. As soon as we go down to the next story, the article loads but the url does not change. The GA team tells us we are not getting additional page views because of that.
7) We have loaded the AMP code as the tutorial suggests, however we are not seeing any amp views on GA.
Please help.
Hi,
In order to achieve the page width of 900px, you’ll need to set on row in css the margin left and right auto and the width 900px like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/UgCqh4uoGUVK also for post and category you’ll need to use the tagDiv Cloud Library and set in those template the row with margin auto and width 900px.
Thank you!
Hi,
Please check the settings from theme color – footer -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hS9njhTlT clear all cache and check the results.
-> https://www.screencast.com/t/aUjh4rcp
If this is still do not working please use this custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/pua7krYh1Uo
.td-footer-wrapper {
color: #fff;
}
Set the code in Newspaper>Theme panel>Custom code>Custom css
Thank you!
I have been working on my site all day, and all of a sudden, all the pages built with the composer have reverted to the default width even though they were built as stretched heros and 1200px bodies (flexbox and 12000px rows) using the composer. I have tried everything I can think of including removing all custom CSS, deactivating plugins and searching the theme panel. I checked the pages in the composer, and all elements (rows) are still set to stretch content or stretch to 1200px, yet all pages are default width. it was fine earlier today and I do not know what happened. Newspaper version 9.6.
Here are some of the pages.
http://wordpress-215920-675370.cloudwaysapps.com/morninglive/
http://wordpress-215920-675370.cloudwaysapps.com/schedule/
http://wordpress-215920-675370.cloudwaysapps.com/featured-shows/
These are a few. Only the pages running the composer are affected.
Thanks in advance
Hi there, I do not want to use the mobile theme for it does not show the pages on my site very well. I would like to be able to add items to the main menu that only show on mobile (once the hamburger toggle appears). Is there a way to do this? Perhaps a class and some CSS?
Thanks in advance
Hello, my website have broken css when I have the AMP plugin and mobile theme activated on desktop.
Is there anything I can change to make it work?
Hi!
I need some help with the mobile theme.
I want to change the fonts. I tried to do it from mobile Styles.css but i cant (I dont know how)
¿How can I change the Titles font to “Roboto”, bold, and a little bit bigger?
¿How can I change the paragraph font to “Open Sans” and a little bit bigger?
Thanks in advange.
Love the new header options, have used a template but the black color in the background that I set in the CSS tab is the last thing to load – since the logo is white letters you can’t see it while the page loads.
Any way to fix this? you can see here. http://www.brandinginasia.com
Thanks guys!
It seems this theme does not support Right-to-Left (RTL) languages. Can the theme author provide an RTL CSS file? I need it badly!
only way to use AMP on smartphone is to disable ‘show on amp’ from setting of mobile plugin but the result is text not formatted by any css … bottom also appears written ‘Powered by WordPress’ that is certainly not the best…
When I try to edit any post I got this message:
“Warning: filemtime(): stat failed for /hermes/bosnacweb02/bosnacweb02ad/b1955/ipg.tireaderscom/tireaders/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider//includes/gutenberg-blocks/assets/js/editor.blocks.js in /hermes/bosnacweb02/bosnacweb02ad/b1955/ipg.tireaderscom/tireaders/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/admin/revslider-admin.class.php on line 2220 Warning: filemtime(): stat failed for /hermes/bosnacweb02/bosnacweb02ad/b1955/ipg.tireaderscom/tireaders/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider//includes/gutenberg-blocks/assets/css/blocks.style.css in /hermes/bosnacweb02/bosnacweb02ad/b1955/ipg.tireaderscom/tireaders/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/admin/revslider-admin.class.php on line 2228 Warning: filemtime(): stat failed for /hermes/bosnacweb02/bosnacweb02ad/b1955/ipg.tireaderscom/tireaders/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider//includes/gutenberg-blocks/assets/css/blocks.style.css in /hermes/bosnacweb02/bosnacweb02ad/b1955/ipg.tireaderscom/tireaders/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/admin/revslider-admin.class.php on line 2241 ”
any idea? Look like it has something to do with revslider plugin, but I am not sure.
Thanks ahead.
In the Theme Panel, go to Custom Code > Custom CSS and add this:
.adsbygoogle {
margin-left: auto!important;
}
my site won’t load correctlly on safari on mac and iphone – OK on firefox and chrome
Hi,
Unfortunately using the cloud template is the only way to change the post content with, maybe can be force with custom css but is very possible that will break the post content layout.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
I using AMP for WP in 1 years. It’s good plugin but I don’t like this plugin’s themes and speed. I want to use tagdiv orginal AMP theme. I update 9.6 today. After I upload mobile theme and tagdiv AMP. I follow this steps https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/ step by step. But mobile theme and AMP is not working. I get an CSS problems. http://www.screencast.com/t/aIYJuUDX5X1B How I fix this?
Hi,
That is coming from the theme – http://prntscr.com/mv2ka3 It could be canceled with a stronger CSS code if needed. Post a link to where the form is located so I can create a code for it.
Thanks
Hi,
Try to use the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Cusotm CSS Area.
.td-post-sub-title{
display:none;
}
Thanks for the message!
3. You should use the mobile theme which is created specially for mobile. For example this theme demo uses the mobile theme plugin with these results – http://prntscr.com/mv1xwa
Now the mobile theme can also be integrated with the official AMP plugin as well
– https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
4. I see the problem, I will add it on the list so it can be investigated. Sorry for the inconvenience.
5. You can use a cloud post template – https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
Here you can preview and experiment with cloud templates
– https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/All
Within a cloud post template you can arrange the post elements as needed. With the predefined post templates it is not possible.
6. For standard Adsense ads, in the theme panel you can choose a specific size per device if that is what you want to do, for example – http://prntscr.com/mv27a7
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/ads-adsense-overview/
For different kind of ads like auto ads we don’t have any documentation I can provide. I haven’t made testing with such ads, maybe try searching online for some tips or suggestions.
7. I remember seeing something like that on another website, quite unusual. In that case the ad code seemed to have an inline negative margin left for some reason. This resulted in the ad not being centered anymore. I believe we fixed it with CSS at the time. I could take a look if you can post a link to where this happens.
8. Maybe by surrounding the ad code with a div container and add style to it, like a background color. Some padding or additional CSS may be needed. Or with CSS directly, something like this – http://prntscr.com/mv2cck
UPDATE: All of the panels in the Theme Panel are hanging––not just the Custom CSS panel. The spinner spins ad infinitum.
Hope this helps diagnose the problem.
Hi,
I see it mainly in the block titles. In some cases that effect may be visible, this is how CSS loads. The block titles have a default color that is loaded initially, the colors set in the theme panel will be loaded after the initial color is loaded, replacing it. Sometimes the transition between the colors is noticeable.
One solution would be to remove the default color (or change it to the color you want there), but this can only be done in the theme stylesheet – http://prntscr.com/mv1iq2
Also some similar topics – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/old-css-ghost-colors/

Thanks
After activating a child theme (wp-content/themes/Newspaper-child), the Theme Panel > Custom Code > Custom CSS screen hangs upon saving. When I go back to using the parent theme, the issue resolves itself.
Is there a fix for this?
I am including the code for my child theme’s functions.php and style.css files.
Thanks, as always!

Hi,
If you want to affect that section on mobile devices, you need to create your own custom CSS code and apply it only for mobile devices, using the media queries. Please check here -> https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_rwd_mediaqueries.asp
Hope this helps!
Thanks for oyur understanding!
Hi,
If you do not made and changes on fonts size, those will be the same on mobile and desktop, if you made some changes those will not appear on mobile theme, will appear in default size.
For gradient color on header on mobile theme you’ll need to use this custom css -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ydR4yRN8
.td-header-wrap {
background-image: linear-gradient(to right, #321efc, #fec98a);
}
Set the code in theme panel>Mobile theme>Custom code -> https://www.screencast.com/t/KeLsSEk9h
Thank you!
Hi,
Seems the browser detects the images as mixed content, so it will not load them. The same happens here – http://prntscr.com/muypyd
Maybe double check if the SSL implementations done properly

Hi,
I believe I understand now. You want to display the post titles below the thumbnail, not over it. Most big grids display he title over the image, you can see theme all here
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/big-grid-1/
There would be no setting to make the title display below the image in a big grid.
Blocks on the other hand are different, there are blocks that display the title below or next to the image. The predefined blocks can be seen here
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-1/
There are also flex blocks, these have a great deal of customization options. Here are some designs made by us
– https://affiliate.tagdiv.com/#/load/Blocks
These designs can be imported with the cloud library plugin
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-cloud-library-plugin/
So a solution would be to use blocks instead of big grids. With flex blocks you can even achieve the same design of grids.
Please let me know if you have questions or you need help with something. The code I provided above seems to work – http://prntscr.com/muyoez simply enter it in the Theme panel->Custom CSS section – http://prntscr.com/muyoq6
Thanks
