I know about this. But I didn’t make any changes to tge global settings for the grid. also, the page, generated by the import of the demo-data got different colors and font.
so just tell me were you set this color and font on that page. I didnt find any custom css on the page.
you can easily reproduce the situation by setting up a site and import the demo data calles ‘breaking news’. after that you set up a blank page and set up the same big grid that is used on the demo-start-page. after that, you will see, that the global settings are ignored by the demo start-page.

1. The demo is created custom and some elements can be modified with code when designing the demo style. In these cases settings from the theme panel are overwritten. This particular demo has a condition that when header style 5 is used, the header menu will display in black when the menu item is active or hovered

2. The Super cache plugin is tested with the theme and it works properly. WE have not had any similar reports. Something else might be causing the issue. Try deactivating all other plugins except theme plugins and the cache plugin and check the results.
Also try checking in the browser inspector console (press F12) on the page when the problem is happening, and check for errors.

4. The article title font can be changed for the Big grid in the theme panel. These are the modules where you will have to change them

5. At the moment there is no option to add more sharing socials in the post page. These are the only available settings

There are solutions on the forum to add particular socials, but would require theme file modifications. I believe there are plugin that you could try as well if you need more options.
6. If you mean the space between the modules in the Big grid, that cannot be removed. That is how the grid is designed, there is no option to modify it.

7. The More articles box that is displayed on posts can be enabled in the Theme panel

Don’t understand ..
As I wrote before, we have two pages with the same content, a big grid 1 – type 4.
On page ‘A’ the grid has a bold font with red colour, on the page ‘B’ it it with default colors. page ‘A’ was generated by importing the demo, page ‘B’ was hand made.
So, where did you set font and color for page ‘A’? it was not set by the theme panel.

It also depends on the demo you have installed. Please compare your grid with one on the demo you use. Do not compare it to the default demo if you use any other one.

In Newspaper 8 the new tagDiv composer was introduced as the main page builder

It will be activated by default when the theme is installed or updated. In some cases there can be problems when both Visual composer and the tagDiv composer are active at the same time.
If you decide to use the tagDiv composer you will have to recreate all the pages with this new front-end editor

You can keep using Visual composer after updating the theme and disable the tagDiv composer, then make the switch when you think the time is right.
The option to display pages in blocks is available for Visual composer as well

Hey there,
I am currently using NewsPaper theme based on Gadgets demo and have run into a few issues.
1. The main navigation bar uses black colour as the hover colour even though it is set to orange in the theme panel.
2. WP Super Cache, when enabled completely removes the styling for the theme. All I’m left with is the html structure. I followed tagdiv instructions on how to configure the plugin but to no avail.
3. Co-author plus integration – I don’t know where to setup the plugin code for multiple author profiles and how to show two boxes (one for each author) in case of multiple authors for an article.
4. The font sizes are different for the grid layout and I don’t know where to change the style/size for each grid layout( I did try the theme fonts tab).
5. How do I add more share links to the default list that already exists for each post?
6. For the main homepage grid, how do I remove the white border separating the different tiles?
7. How do I show the ‘More Stories’ box that appears on the right side of Tech News demo when viewing an article?

I have a start page taken from the basic demo data, supplied with the theme. There you use big grid 1 with option 4 on top of the page. the title fonts appear bold ond the color of the post category is white on red.
Now I set up a new page, added the same grid and the font is different.
Where can I set it in the same style as it appears on the demo page?

Once I deleted the files out of there, saved, cleared browser, retested, it still shows the error: GET http://192.168.0.208/wp_011_test_demos/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/4.jpg net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
So I tried to replace the file with my same background from the first of the three sections, Theme background, into the second section, Mobile menu/search background, and third section, Sign in/Join background.
The error received now is new but similar: Failed to load resource: net::ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT 4.jpg (notice no URL info in front of the file name)
In both instances, it’s still taking >7 seconds to display the error. I don’t think this resolved the issue.

Blocks can be placed on a maximum of three columns, however you want. One after another if that is what you want.

Simion, Thx so much for your help. I didn’t know these extra steps. I have gotten the slider and demo downloaded, but when I went to attach it to a category, I don’t see any categories in the list. I have put several categories already into the “Posts” section. I looked and they are there. Help again? I’m almost there. Thx
It’s a known bug in one of the demos, where I think it’s a background image you need to delete from the setup in theme panel – but not sure where.
Sorry, don’t work here, but you’re not first with the issue — basically a background image is in there for the demo, but doesn’t work on your actual site (not YOUR fault).

Quick question about header ads. I’m currently using the default header style (number 1) on my website mmacentral.nl. However if I clear the code in the theme panel it shows up on mobile as a “missing image” icon and presses the main menu down. What I want is for it to just disappear completely and have no white space above the main menu at all.
Do I have to use another header style for it? Because I installed the default newsmag theme demo before and it didnt have the white space (but it does use header style 1 if I’m not mistaken)
Good Afternoon – I am a first time user of newspaper and tried my best to dig up a solution to this on my own.

The pages are trying to load an asset: http://192.168.0.208/wp_011_test_demos/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/4.jpg I don’t even see the folder …/wp_011_test_demos/… in my FTP so I jump to http://listeniowa.com/wp-content/uploads/2017 and there is no folder 05 in it. I created it and then created file 4.jpg to try and fix the issue. It’s still not working.
Can you tell me how to resolve the issue? This is the only asset that is not loading. I never intended to have a file called 4.jpg ever. I assumed it was part of the theme but am not able to resolve it. The site looks fine without this file and I’m not sure why it’s so persistent to try and load it. Load times are 9 seconds+ which, as you can imagine, is an issue for the end user.

Hi I downloaded the say what demo to my site and I have been able to fix it all except for the social counter boxes on the right. It is not on the widget section and when I put my social networks on the theme panel this didn’t change it either. Please let me know where I can find it. Thanks!

That could only be done by modifying the smart list files and pagination, and it may not be an easy task. The smart lists are complex elements and cannot be modified easily.

2. It could be possible, but I cannot say for sure. On pages using the tagDiv composer you can achieve full width results, but not a user defined width. That could only be done with theme modifications or custom code.
We try to implement more and more options and features with each update, and the list of suggestions and user recommendations is increasing daily. It is hard for the developer team to decide what gets introduced as soon as possible and what gets delayed.

That cannot be done, or it would require considerable modifications to make. The Big grid slide is designed to function as it is now. It will slide the whole Big grid, not just a module form the grid.
You could maybe use a Slide on two columns instead and a block of your choosing in the remaining column, like this
