It seems the thumbnail for block 13 is misleading. As it shows 4 elements on 2 columns but block 13 never showed content on 2 columns. Here is how it will show up: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/block-13/

After you manage to configure them as recommended, then everything should work. There should be no problem installing a demo, or using the export/import feature.

Hey, I am trying to create a home page like the one in Gadgets Demo. I first tried to import the demo but for some reason my page keeps loading for a few minutes even after content is loaded. So, I uninstalled the demo and now i am trying to build it. Here are some problems that i am unable to fix so please help me with that.
– How do I remove the distance between header menu and first content block?
– What if the font being used in Gadgets demo?
– Main Menu hover color doesn’t change and there is no option of hover color in Theme Panel > Theme Colors > Main Menu (under header). The option Active and Hover color changes the color of whole block but i just want to change the text color like in Gadgets demo.
– How do I make sure that different blocks will not show same content?

Generally the reason most savvy WP developers recommend WP Super Cache is that’s it’s made by the same folks who make WordPress and used on some of the largest websites like TIME.com, etc.
So, while there are other choices (we don’t use a caching plugin, since we have dedicated server, and prefer using optimized pages, with PHP 5.6 with MariaDB and opcache. And now moving to PHP7 + http/2.
So, it makes sense for TagDiv to recommend the same caching solution actually used by WordPress for their own sites, million dollar clients, etc. as it will *always* work with any proper WP setup, while other plugins don’t stay up to date, may not work, get abandoned, etc.
It’s your site, so you can do whatever you wish — however, it’s impossible for a theme dev to provide support for 10 different cache plugins, where caching has nothing directly to do with the theme itself. So, TagDiv use it for their own sites/demos, as does WordPress.
Just a comment as to the why (( I don’t work here …. ))
When installing the demo content, 4 errors popped up during the installation. Afterwards, when browsing the site, icons and fonts are missing, it looks terrible. Not sure what might have went wrong?

Just purchased Newspaper after watching video on theme and upon install/uploading Health & Fitness demo, I went to play around with it and I all i see is basic MCE editor, not one in video. Am I missing something?

We imported the “recipes” demo, and started customizing it around a bit… However the category template/module isn’t displaying properly. The screenshot is below:

It should be displaying as:

Right now the category is being displayed on our site right underneath the author name and date, when instead it should be all the way on the top left corner. This issue is only happening on desktop/regular views.
In smaller screens/mobile, it is displaying properly though…
The style keeps changing the way it looks? sometimes it displays the way the demo does… than the below will happen

This is most likely related to the theme system status. The server and WordPress parameters mentioned in this guide need to be as recommended for the best functionality of the theme

It is a requirement of the theme. There are functions require those parameters as specified. Installing demos is one of them.
If you cannot edit the files, there has to be someone from the hosting that should have access and can help you.

Hello. I purchased your theme and I tried to install a demo (only settings) when I got this error:

The theme doesn’t install the settings so I tried with different demos and I didn’t get this message, but it wouldn’t work anyway.
I tried to start a page from scratch, but the “Edit with TD Composer” link at the top of the screen doesn’t appear. After a few times with installing demos I finally got acces to the TD Composer, so I tried again to install a demo (only settings): all the previous settings disappeared (and didn’t return when I unistalled) and so did the “Edit with TD Composer” link.
I had asked on the forum about this issue and you told me to clear the cache and deactivate all my plugins. I did, but it didn’t solve the problem.
On the System Status page I have a yellow mark on max_execution_time, it says:
30 – the execution time should be bigger than 60 if you plan to use the demos. To see how you can change this please check our guide here.
I don’t have access to wp_config since I don’t have my own domain but a free hosting. What can I do?
This isn’t the first time I purchased a theme, but it’s the first I have problem with. The others worked just fine even if I only have a blog on a free hosting site.
I hope we can find a solution because I really like your theme and I was looking forward to use it on my blog.

Please keep in mind that the default theme behavior has to display all the subcategories in alphabetical order. I have inspected your website and I saw that your sub-categories are not right displayed. Please try to update your theme to the latest version of it and also, remove all of the untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. If you will check our demo preview here -> https://demo.tagdiv.com/newsmag/ you will see that all of the sub-categories are right displayed.

I find it dificult to modify the home page of the demos. I downloaded the baby blog demo and I want to erase altogether the block call Latest Articles with 12 articles on HOME page, but I don’t have control over it. Same for the side bar, I can’t change anything.

I have issues with my logo on ipad.
Initially it continuously showed the default NM logo from the news mag demo. I permenantly deleted the NM logo and now I am getting the below box.

You forget to remove Newspaper live demo CSS from the theme bundle.
It’s surely adding some extra KBs on the file, that’s not a big issue but the custom images directory (demos_popup) you added in CSS throwing 404 error as the directory is missing in the bundle.
So, you must remove it from the bundle’s style.css file.

The script in question is NOT coming from the theme. Please check our demo: view-source:https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ and you will see no such script coming from the header. It is a custom implementation on your end that causes the language issue most likely.

Is there a way to configure easily the Category Top Posts Style part of the category pages so that by using tagging we can features selected posts in the category.
Reason, we do not always want just the most recent 5 posts in that block. Some posts we will promote into the block depending on the topic.
The section I’m referring to can be found here:
Newspaper > Theme Panel > Categories > Category Top Posts Style
Also can you remove the Category Top Posts Style from the second page onwards on the categories pages. It would seem useful as a feature block on page one but page 2 onward maybe the lists of posts is sufficient. I noticed on the Newspaper demo of categories online that somehow the posts in the clock seem to be the same on all pages where as in our configuration is it the top 5 on that pagenination page. Are we missing a setting somewhere?

The voice report demo uses css to add the iamge so you will have to change it with css like so:
.td-voice .td-header-style-9 .td-logo-wrap-full{
background-image: url(your image url here)!important;
}
You can add the code in the theme panel-> custom css box.
Or if you get an image flicker as the image is being rewritten, you can change the image url directly in the css file here:
