The reason I was using Posts Loop is that it is for a Category page and the Posts Loop selects the correct category for the articles. Is that also possible for flex blocks / big grid flex?

If you use Cloud Library, these templates can’t be set in child theme. Child Theme uses the standard templates.
For flex Block 1 you can find the files in these paths
wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/modules/td_module_flex_1.php
wp-content/plugins/td-composer/legacy/Newspaper/includes/shortcodes/td_flex_block_1.php and for Posts Loop is wp-content/plugins/td-cloud-library/modules/tdb_module_loop.php tdb_module_loop_2.php
If you use cloud templates and you make changes in the files, the changes will apply on all pages.

Unfortunately, you can use only one Posts Loop on the page (not more), if add more elements “Posts Loop” then these will inherit the settings made for the last “Posts Loop” element.
So, you can try to use flex block, when you can set the offset or a Big Grid Flex.

I’m using tagdiv cloud library for category and tag templates.
I have a post rating plugin that will show the average rating on posts lists in most other themes, but it doesn’t show on any post lists in Newspaper, I assume because I’m using cloud library.
I’d like to take a stab at adding it directly into the template in my child theme. What templates are used in Newspaper for the posts loop for categories and tags and for flex block 1?

Unfortunately, only the element called “Posts Loop” has the option for numbered pagination, the flex blocks do not have this option. The flex block has these option for pagination => https://www.screencast.com/t/4HmAvAdlR

To change the element’s way of working, this will require custom work which is not covered by the support team.

For flex block, I find you can’t show posts belong to both the category selected under FILTER and the category selected under AJAX CATEGORIES DROPDOWN. It will be “OR”, not “AND”.
Say, I want to have a flex block show posts under “Sponsored” category and would like to have AJAX CATEGORIES DROPDOWN with several selected categories (News, Insights …) for further filtering for posts under the “Sponsored” category. It can’t be done, except “Filter by popularity”, which can show Featured and All Time Popular posts only under “Sponsored” category. But that’s not enough for me.
Is that true? Any solutions?

I had the same site on different servers (OVH, Contabo and Aruba) but it has always been slow (from 10 to 20 seconds to load the homepage) and the problem occurs just on the homepage, while the posts templates are faster (from 3 to 6 seconds loading), so I think the problem mostly occurs when the homepage is loaded, even if I’d like to speed up the posts loading as well.
I’m not using CDN.
My website loads external resources like ads (Google Adsense), fonts, and tracking scripts (Google Analytics).
The homepage contain several blocks (55 Td Flex blocks 1, 1 Post Slider, 2 Single Image, 2 Team Member, 1 Icon Box, 12 Title, 8 Separators, 7 Rows, 14 Inner Rows).
About image size or formats, I will check it out even if the homepage loading is slow even if it loads images from the memory cache.
I’m not using mobile optimized layouts.
I have no console error.
I am using using the Standard Pack plugin.
I will follow your tips to increase page speed and I will tell you if it works, then I will chech the factors you refer to, then I will add some more info on this topic.

This option automatically removes duplicate posts from the page.
For filter, isn’t possible to exclude the posts that have the category by also a specific tag, what you can do is to add a new category on the posts that you want to remove from the block and set that category in the taxonomies filter with “-” -> https://www.screencast.com/t/BxvGmNxsk -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/.

It is not possible to custom resize the images in Flex-Block-3 or Flex-Block-4. Both for Module-1 & 2. Is it possible for you to provide a CSS code so that I can custom re-size the images as per my needs. Thanks.
