I need your help please!
Good I am using ACF to show some extra data.
In the following modules I have been able to show it without any problem:
\td-composer\legacy\Newspaper\includes\modules\td_module_flex_1.php
\td-composer\legacy\Newspaper\includes\modules\td_module_flex_5.php
I get it like this:
echo get_field(‘interviewed_name’,$this->post->ID);
echo get_field(‘interviewed_occupation’,$this->post->ID);
Now I want to show them under the main title of an entry. I do not get it, I can not get the data of the post! It seems that since it is a shortcode and not a module it does not allow me to obtain it.
How could I show that data?
Hi. So I was very much under the impression that the desktop versions and mobile versions of you website/homepage could be structured differently? The problem is, whilst I have pretty much got my desktop homepage looking how I want it, it doesn’t display well on mobile. For example the flew box1 looks great on desktop, but when I look at the mobile theme it just doesn’t look right. I thought you were able to change both independently? If I try and change the way say for example flexbox1 looks on the mobile theme, the same changes take effect on the desktop one. Can I not make changes to the mobile version of my homepage without these same changes effecting how it displays on desktop? My website is http://www.eheritage.co.uk. Many thanks
Hi!
I’m using the element Bid Grid Flex 6. I need to set up a filter sort orden to “Popular (last 1 day)”. Is it possible?
Thanks!
Hi,
1. Please notice that only the post loop element from tagDiv Composer have the pagination -> https://i.imgur.com/vtChbbr.png also you can set an option in tagDiv Composer that need to be set on the rows to be hidden when you are using the posts loop pagination. So you need to set/enable on each row this option -> https://i.imgur.com/GOygsKx.png but just make sure that the posts loop element will be in a separate row that will not have this option enable, in this way you can control what you want to see on the page when you are using the pagination and you can customize the loop how you want using tagDiv Composer.
2. Unfortunately these options are only on flex and grids, if you are using the posts loop you can set effects from here ->https://i.imgur.com/tOObWqW.png
3. Make sure that you do not have set a thumb from the main image -> https://i.imgur.com/rtG5K41.jpg this should fix the problem.
4. From what I can see the search is working normally, the results are posts and pages that contain that word.This are WordPress functions, if you want to change the search results you can use this guide from here -> https://wpsites.net/wordpress-tips/exclude-pages-posts-categories-from-search-results-in-wordpress/ this should help you to achieve what you need.
5. If you are using the flex block or posts loop you can remove it from layout tab -> https://i.imgur.com/T4IPbkC.png also for standard blocks you can remove it from theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/z1RTo9K.png
6. I do not quite understand, do you want to sort the post, this can be done with the options from flex blocks and blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/kZLLrdb.png
7. The facebook like button will work as in this documentation -> https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-button/ this will count only the likes get on your post on website and you need to be connected to Facebook to can like the article/post.
8. This is not a bug, as I can see, all the 12 articles are displaying, 4 of theme are in the beg grids -> https://i.imgur.com/cpff9zX.jpg and the 8 are under those https://i.imgur.com/ZTaq4ro.png
9. Usually these are just forms in your website and the visitors will submit directly not with there email. You can check more in this article -> https://websitesetup.org/contact-form-wp-website/
10. Sorry, for the moment our website do not have this option
Thank you!
Hi,
If you want to have more control over the featured images from homepage, then you can edit it with tagDiv Composer, and use some flex blocks -> https://i.imgur.com/Riqs5NO.png these blocks are special and can be more easy design ( you can check the documentation for flex blocks from Newspaper) -> https://i.imgur.com/Fkga3eS.jpg
Hope this will help you better!
Thank you!
Well, I’m using Flex Block 2 and “load more” is not a valid solution.
I need the possibilty to add the READ button as previous image attached.
Hi,
We recommend to use flex blocks, in this way you can achieve the layout you want after that save the block made using the right click -> https://tagdiv.com/right-click-menu-tagdiv-composer/
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello !
Indeed there is an issue on Internet explorer + Flex Blocks.
Please try this code: [class*="ie"] .td-module-container {
display: block;
}
[class*="ie"] .td-image-container {
height: auto;
flex: initial;
}
The code must be inserted here: https://www.screencast.com/t/J1Nxw5s5
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Hello !
Unfortunately that is possible only if you are creating a page with tagDiv Composer and use the flex blocks without images. Flex Block 9 and 10 are the ones without featured image.
Thank you !
Hello !
On all the FLEX Blocks you will be able to set the load more options as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/R6EWjXIvuoV2
Thank you !
Hi TagDiv,
I’m having quite a lot of problems with my site in Internet Explorer 11.
Do you have some recommendations on how to fix it – e.g. via custom css?
My site is here: fundats.dk
Thanks!
Hello !
That is possible when using flex block as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/WKwVusqC
Thank you !
Hello !
1. By using the flex blocks on sidebars you will be able to set the H tags as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/WKwVusqC
2. You can disable the lazyload option from theme panel and look for a 3rd party option that will not require JS: https://www.screencast.com/t/ilmH43pIx
3. Unfortunately for this there is no solution at the moment. You can use the child theme if you want: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/
4. Unfortunately I don’t clearly understand your question. Please be more explicit.
5. That is the wordpress functions as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/J59Wkx8CCB
6. Page speed is not covered by the support team.
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Hello !
That can be achieved by adding flex blocks and set the filters as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/PTZQtn9UFZ8X
You can use the column text element in order to render shortcodes or use HTML codes. Simply copy the shortcode and insert it in the text area of the column text as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/UEMEsVKog
Column text is an element from tagDiv Composer.
Thank you !
Hello !
As you can see here, the header logo is by default H1: https://www.screencast.com/t/GewWbt60w
Also in order to change everything to H1 you will have to use the Flex Blocks as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/Pc7taKZL
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Hi!
About Newspaper demo Gadgets PRO, is there the possibility to add the “READ” button in Flex Block 2 https://ibb.co/kxH1x6N ?
Thanks!
I am using a flex block on my home page for a specific category. As I update a new post, somehow the block doesn’t reflect the new post within the block even the post has categorized properly.
Could you please tell me what I am doing wrong?
web: saycoandfriends.com
The main Grid gets updated as I submit a new post. The below, you find the “trave” block that should show anything categorized under “travel.” But as you can see, the most recent posts are not being reflected.
I hope this makes sense… thank you so much for your help.

Problem 1# In TagDiv composer, when I click a block on the right side, the left pannel is not responding as it used to respond before (I am trying to edit a block on the home page).
Problem 2# I see the following error on a block. How to correct or remove this?
[td_block_big_grid_flex_1 grid_layout=”3″ image_height=”eyJhbGwiOiI3MCIsInBvcnRyYWl0IjoiODAiLCJwaG9uZSI6IjUwIn0=” image_zoom%
Hello, I have flex blocks and slides throughout my site, and even though I have posts created, assigned to categories, and these categories selected in the flex block settings, nothing is showing. Im stuck! The Post loop works fine, as does the header navigation

Hi,
Our theme have only these options for filer and sort -> https://i.imgur.com/9Io5S7z.png the posts from homepage/page you can check more about filters and sort in our documentation for flex blocks from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/flex-block-settings-guide/ ->
Thank you!
Hi,
Please notice that we did not tested the byline plugin with our theme and therefore, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with the theme, also, we do not know the behavior of this plugin or how it should integrate to work, sorry! Also, we cannot provide support for untested plugins.
Also the modules from the flex blocks are made to display the author how publish the post, in order to make it you recognize the plugin that you are using you need to make some changes in theme files.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
You can achieve a block like this -> https://prnt.sc/r1onqw using tagDiv Composer and setting a block or flex block the ajax category from filter tab -> https://i.imgur.com/EfLkZy8.png
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Hello,
The Newspaper theme we recently launched is not always displaying a custom taxonomy that we use for a post author/byline. As a student newspaper, we use this custom taxonomy due to the hundreds of student contributors that have written one or more articles over the years. This ‘byline’ taxonomy works just like a tag.
The theme displays the correct author name on individual posts, but not in other areas of the website. There are two different issues related to this, so we were hoping to get some clarification on how to display the correct name of the writer of a post.
Here is an example of the correct byline in a post:
https://www.globeslcc.com/2020/01/28/letter-from-the-editor-sundance-preview/
The writer is listed correctly (Amie Schaeffer) and links to other bylines she has on the website.
Below are two examples where this information is not displaying correctly:
1. On the home page: http://www.globeslcc.com/
In any of the Flex box sections, when the ‘Show Author’ element is turned on in the ‘Layout’ tab of TD Composer, it displays the post author WordPress account instead of the byline taxonomy associated with a post. This occurs in every type of flex box on the home page, so we turned this setting off on most boxes.
You can see Amie’s article in the Opinion flex box, which is displaying who uploaded the article (Megan Neff).
2. On our category pages: http://www.globeslcc.com/opinion/
In the “big grid flex” module at the top of the page, the most recent article is displaying a different byline (Cristobal Villegas) from an article beneath the flex box. This occurs on every category page with a big grid flex box.
This ‘byline’ taxonomy is being implemented through the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/byline/
As you can see, the byline loads correctly in some places on the website, but not others. Any suggestions for how to consistently display this taxonomy within all areas of the theme would be appreciated.
Please let us know what other information you might need. Thank you.
Hi,
Did you install the tool/plugin from this documentation to can regenerate the thumbs -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/thumbnails-fix-strange-looking-images-on-blocks/ -> https://i.imgur.com/NKhGaDv.png
Indeed the blocks do not have this option, only in flex blocks you can set the images size, why not change the blocks with flex blocks, this should work.
Let me know the results!
Thank you!
I have made changes to the files:
td-composer\legacy\Newspaper\includes\modules\td_module_flex_1.php
td-composer\legacy\Newspaper\includes\modules\td_module_flex_7.php
How do I incorporate this into the child theme?
I read the documentation but I don’t understand.
