You could use a flex block instead, like flex block 1. This can be customized to look in many ways. It has an option for the module padding, image customization options, show/hide post meta and many styling options.

Unfortunately flex block 1 was designed in this way, the height is change in function of
title/excerpt length, for the moment this is the only way to set manually the height, sorry!

You are using Flex Blocks which, apparently, can override settings from Theme Panel.
Categories on Flex Blocks can be disabled in TD Composer, on Layout tab of selected element.

if I hide thumbnail in flex box, all posts will be without images. I don’t want this. Not all my posts have images. When I decide to insert a single post without image I would like the text to align naturally to the left.

If you remove in the loop an image for single post, text align to the left.

Sorry but the big grid flex elements cannot get this option.
A grid will always show the meta on top of the images. That is why it is a grid, not a standard block.
Use flex blocks instead.

1. Sorry but the standard blocks cannot get customization settings such as the flex blocks. Please use the flex blocks if you want more options for your blocks.
2. In our theme only big grids can get hover effects. By default, no standard block can have a hover effect. However you can try this method:

I am using element, “Flex Block1” and finding that author color can not be changed.
Author color is set to red as seen on the left side but author color on flex block1 module remains unchanged.

1) How to edit META info location of elements (using TagDivComposer) in blocks like Block 14 or others? I want to make the same visual design for Block14 as META design (Category and Title) in “Big GRid Flex 6”.
2) How to make Scale picture effect on hover for Block14 and others? They look so bored without customization.
Is it possible to make masonry (cobble) post style on the page with that “Big grid flex 6” design? Lets say I want to set 15 posts with “Big grid flex 6” layout and with filtering by categories with load more button at the bottom. How to do it?
Many thanks for your reply, Calin – I understand (hence “Flex” box, I suppose) but this would be a very good feature to add here – then I could load posts without constant adjustment to element depth.
I see that setting characters could fix this but it doesn’t look professional for a publication to end words half way through! You know journalists! Please consider make element depth fixable in next update. Newspapers would love it.

Unfortunately the flex block size is auto set after content of posts, only if you change from the excerpt word on litter in this way is possible to obtain what you need, but if excerpt is sat on word, the length of word can differ .

Hi, I’ve created a new Flex Block and a new Block to grab posts from other blogs inside my multisite installation.
The only thing that I don’t know from your API is where I should put the code that grab the last 5 posts published inside my network.
I could create a simple widget but the solution of your blocks it seems much more coherent with the design of the portal.

When I add a new post to In Audio Reviews (created with Flex Box 3) at https://jazzjournal.co.uk, the bottom margin usually extends or contracts, even though I keep the excerpt length the same and post number at 7.
I want this box to remain the same size. At the moment I have to adjust the bottom element margin almost every time I post a new article to the Audio Reviews category.
Is there a way to fix its depth?

@zeroc00l You could maybe do it in a different way. Use a flex block and customize it the way you want for desktop and for mobile. Most settings are per device

So you can make it look in one way for desktop and in another way on mobile. This way there won’t be a need to hide and replace the block. You could give it a try.

That depend on what feature you want on mobile theme.
Please note that the mobile theme is made simple, in this way is faster, so for mobile theme you can use custom css , but if you want to have more blocks/modules or effects please deactivate the mobile theme and use only the theme, also some blocks like flex blocks can be set on each device.

So you want to display 5 modules per row with a grid? A flex grid is capable of doing this. Flex grid 1 for example – http://prntscr.com/ma005c
The other predefined grids cannot do this, they have predefined values and will always look the same.
