I want to share an update on resolving an issue I encountered, hoping it can assist others who might face a similar challenge and spend a considerable amount of time troubleshooting it. Although it is essential to first consider the recommended steps provided by the TagDiv support team, my solution might be an additional resource.
I discovered that a modal popup embedded in my footer was the culprit. I suspect that something went awry during a recent upgrade. This embed consisted of custom code, replicated from a text on a composer page. I had a Gravity Forms embedded on this page for a newsletter signup. Initially, I created the modal popup page using the Gravity Form shortcode and copied the composer code. However, it is crucial to note that I copied this code via the “edit” option, not “edit in composer,” into the custom code box for my modal popup in the footer.
For reasons I couldn’t initially understand, this was generating an error: Error at zones: 6(models) : 7(dom). I resolved the issue by manually entering the footer and deleting the text in the custom-code=”” field, then saving the file. This allowed me to access the footer via composer and make the necessary adjustments to the pages.
Interestingly, I pinpointed the error to the footer through a process of elimination. While in composer, I first changed the header to “no header” but still encountered the same error. It was only when I selected “no footer” that the error disappeared. This revelation led me to the conclusion that the error originated in the footer.
I believe the modal pop-up custom code triggered this issue. I’m sharing this experience in the hope that it might streamline the troubleshooting process for others facing similar challenges.
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to the TagDiv staff. Their diligent support in navigating the intricacies of a complex yet powerful theme like Newspaper, which I consider to be one of the best available, is immensely appreciated.
Good evening,
The site is: https://rochestermom.com
We updated the Newspaper theme to 12.1 this evening, and updated the Newspaper TagDiv plugins, and the site was not loading the TagDiv shortcode at all. The link below is a screenshot of the problem.
I also copied a couple of the error logs from Kinsta, our hosting company:
2022/10/25 00:28:59 [error] 174#174: *29376 FastCGI sent in stderr: “PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Unknown: Cannot use output buffering in output buffering display handlers in Unknown on line 0” while reading upstream, client: 199.48.94.108, server: rochestermom.com, request: “GET /rochestermn/guides/rochester-mn-guide-birthday-parties/ HTTP/1.1”, upstream: “fastcgi://unix:/var/run/php7.4-fpm-rochestermom.sock:”, host: “rochestermom.com:56292”, referrer: “https://rochestermom.com/”

Lastly, this was the Console error I saw when inspecting the site:

Any help to resolve this would be fantastic, thank you!
I don’t think it’s anything to do with WordPress as it only happens with the Newspaper theme, as mentioned above, and I’ve been using Gravity Forms for 15 years with no problems, so the only solution will be to change theme.
Hi,
The gravity forms is not a tested plugin, therefore I can not say if this is compatible or not with our theme, but usually the 500 errors are related to the server and can appears when it is a plugin conflict or it request to much resources.
How to Fix the 500 Internal Server Error in WordPress
Thank you!
I have a weird problem with Gravity Forms when the plugin is installed.
Sometimes, when saving a post that was created via Gravity Forms, it will not save, giving an Error 500.
This only happens when Newspaper is activated. If any other theme is activated, it saves without a problem.
Gravity Forms works very well for me.
Ignore that. I read “form” and not “forum”. Sorry!

Thought I would update this as I tracked down the issue I had with compatibility with Gravity Forms and TD Composer, it was related to a 3rd party plugin by JetSloth “Bulk Actions Pro for Gravity Forms” when I disable this plugin no issues. So something in that plugin is causing the issue.
Hello,
Please let us know what plugin you use for gravity form, also include the link to your website.
Also, please make sure you set the shortcode in the mobile editor as you can see here: https://www.screencast.com/t/Zy49V5vfYW
Thank you!

Hi elvisfrog,
Unfortunately the Gravity Forms is not a free plugin, therefore I can not make any check with it to can provide a perspective or a possible solution, sorry!
As a suggestion, that sometimes solve some problems like this one is to add this code -> in .htaccess -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi Joseph,
Our developers always follow WordPress team best practices, so is pretty rare to see our plugin being the real cause for an issue like the one you’re describing. A bad implementation of TinyMCE outside of the usual place (the default WP post/page edit screen) is more likely to be the cause of the issue. Don’t take me wrong, I don’t want to blame anyone, but for example, Elementor has several blocks where TinyMCE is also implemented, and I can’t replicate any issue with Gravity Forms and these Elementor blocks. This says to me when TinyMCE is correctly implemented there are no issues.
Also bear in mind, an issue caused by Gravity Forms on TinyMCE would affect to any instance of TinyMCE, including the default post/page edit screen. I can’t replicate any issue with TinyMCE in a default WordPress installation, and we don’t have any other active ticket of customers having issues with TinyMCE and Gravity Forms. So the issue seems to be isolated to your theme builder.
In addition to that, bear in mind that you have many Gravity Forms add-ons enabled, so when you disable Gravity Forms all these add-ons are nonoperational. So disabling Gravity Forms would also disable potential issues caused by any of the add-ons.
I would recommend you to use the troubleshooting mode provided by the WordPress team official Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, it will allow you to perform the test easily disabling things only for your logged in user only, not for your visitors. Please check the following documentation page for detailed instructions: https://docs.gravityforms.com/conflict-testing-using-health-check-plugin/
Hopefully that will help you to perform more testing without affecting your users.
Regards,

I have an issue with I can not open “Edit Content” when using a “Column Text” or other text edit, the editor just keeps spinning. I diagnosed that it is a compatibility issue with Gravity Forms, if I disable then I can open with no problem, I assume it is related to a Gravity Form block that doesn’t load when the WP Edit tries to open. I have messaged Gravity Forms, but thought I would mention it here in case others had the same issue and any suggestion on how to disable or “correct” the issue.
Hi there, I have searched the forum and some seem to say this issue was fixed and others say it wasn’t ~ and although related to the same plugin, the issues seemed different.
My issue is that I have created the whole site with Newsletter and the composer, and am at the end of the build where I need to implement Gravity forms for a paypal form functionality. It won’t actually allow me to create a new form (the popup functionality won’t work). After playing with plugins etc, I know that it is specifically related to the TagDivComposer.
I was very happy with the Newspaper theme and have 3 other sites I wanted to use it for ~ all of which require Gravity Forms. Can you please assist? Thanking you so much.
I have tried to add forms using a shortcode in the html element in the tagdiv page builder using both Gravity forms and contact form 7 shortcodes – but the html block wont display either – just the shortcode as text itself. how can i add a form to a tagdiv page please?
Hey There,
After I have upgrade Newspaper theme to 10.3.2, our translated content became unloadable.. Site gives 503 Service unavailable Error.. If I deactivate the Newspaper theme and choose something a standard theme, the translated content loads without any error..

I’d like to open a modal window from a button that displays a Gravity form.
Is this possible from a button or with some custom coding?
1. When i try to load my cloud library it says ” Invalid reply from server endpoint ” What could be the cause.
2. what Contact form plugin works with this theme because I installed Gravity and my wordpress went blank, I deleted and installed WPForms, the same thing, it would simply not allow me install any form.
