1) The theme was designed to work with ‘Adsense’, and you can read more about ads in our documentation:

2) I think you mean the block settings and the categories displayed on blocks. You can filter categories as shown here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/

3) If you are referring to the social counter, then you have to use just your ID, not the whole URL: http://screencast.com/t/8mQqNV5h7.

If this is not what you mean, provide more details so we can better understand the issue.

Hi Bogdan,
thank you for your reply. I had already followed the instructions in your documentation regarding header ads and custom spots.
I have now tried to disable all plug-ins, however the problem still persists.

Hello Kenneth,

Maybe you’re doing something wrong, or it could be a plugin issue. First try to disable all plugins except visual composer and see if the problem is still there.

Hello again

I am using newspaper travel theme Style 5 for the header (may switch to default)

I was wondering if you could spare some css so I may lose some of the width space between categories so when viewed on ipad, i can see my categories (td header) on one line (the word blog is going to another line)… I don’t really want to make the font smaller..

Image Specs for Travel Demo - topic

Hello good day,

I just installed Newspaper 6.4 and I’m thrilled about the Travel Demo style. However, can someone please give me the image dimensions for the header image used on the homepage of the demo (the camel with beach huts and skyscrapers in the background)?

So far I’ve tried 1235×524 but when I follow the instructions given here on the forums, the result is somewhat blurred.

I would like my image to remain as sharp as the Travel Demo shown here: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_travel/

Notice that the two aren’t of the same sharpness (and I know a little bit about image sharpness, because I’m a photographer and I regularly prepare my images for web and print).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Header ad does not appear in the top. It appears below the search function and a text saying “CLICK HERE – TO SELECT OR CREATE A MENU” (This text I just do not know how to remove.)

How do I get my header to the top? I have pasted the ad html code into the Newspaper – theme panel – header ad…

Please help.

Visual Composer Plugin Installing Error - topic

Hi Guy’s,

I’m new at wordpress themes and I’m having an issue with installing that Visual Composer Plugin which is require for the site. Here is the screenshot of error “http://prntscr.com/8ilku1” It says “The plugin does not have a valid header.” I tried to unpack the theme wp file and erase that js component than I zipped it again and tried to load it again as new theme but it didn’t work. That would be great if you can offer me a solution.

Hi, I am facing a tough situation with the theme NewsMag. It might be easy to solve, but at least for me is difficult and I haven’t found the solution looking around in this forum and in search engines.

The problem is that when I install the theme, at the frontend everything is pretty good. The problem is when I try to log with my username and password in the backend that I receive the following errors…

Bug in video list support – FATAL ERROR in admin panel - topic

I have added a list of 3 videos in the home page using visual composer, (and then, i copied the same videos, and made a total of 6 videos, only for test purpose). I have selected the Youtube video list module.
Immediately after i save the changes, i saw the next error in the backend: (and i can’t come back to the admin panel)

Hi, just started the website – http://www.thepublicenvoy.com

As you can see, the grid on the main page is not showing at the top under the header. I need that fixed.

Secondly, when you scroll down the page, I have set sections such as ‘Politics’ ‘UK’ etc. How do I set these to show items from a certain category?

Child Theme Stylesheet Issues - reply

I downloaded the Newspaper child theme, deactivated plugins, cleared cache. Nothing works. I have tried to make several other changes to the css file, all with NO effect (except the header-height, as mentioned). I have wasted several hours on this now and am completely frustrated. Am about to give up on this theme.

I believe this happens due to cache. I have tested your site on Firefox and here is how it looks on my side: http://screencast.com/t/EbTbTPahu7EF and I get the same result on chrome: http://screencast.com/t/ZVNIobWA so if you don’t get the same result please make sure you empty all caches, browser’s also: https://kb.iu.edu/d/ahic then test it again and try this custom css in theme’s panel custom css sections top make the ad banner and the logo stay on one line: http://screencast.com/t/AFPwGoe2GlsF

We are aware of this issue. It will be corrected in a future update. Until then, you can use this CSS code to
move the background behind the logo:

.td-header-top-menu-full {
position: relative;
z-index: 0;}

I am trying header style 8 and when I change the color of the top bar part, it covers the logo.

Child Theme Stylesheet Issues - topic

Hi,
I have unsuccessfully tried incorporating several style changes (additions) to my child theme. Almost all of them have had no effect. (Only one I had success with is the header height changes).

For example, I have added to sets of styles (one for a photo credit line and some styling to create a reverse ordered list). Both of these worked on a previous theme that I was using, but not on the Newspaper theme.

You have to be careful with these types of modifications as they can create other problems:
Your menu, when viewed on a tablet or mobile phone, gets wacky:

I’ve patched things up a bit with this code: 

.top-header-menu li a {
    line-height: 4;}
.td_data_time {
    position: relative;
    bottom:10px;}
.td-header-style-12 .td-header-top-menu-full{
        height: 50px;}

It’s a temporary solution. You have to revisit your code and set it properly because right now things are all over the place.
In order to fix it on other types of screens you have to use media queries: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/Media_Queries/Using_media_queries

Yes, the issue is about formatting the widget / pop-up.

Go to http://www.foodaround.org and try to log in with the sign up on the header.

As you can see it cannot display the button and the upper tabs when selected.

If I could change the background of those maybe in black, it should work.
Can you help?

Hello kushpvo,

The theme already has 2 menus for the header section: top-menu and main menu. You cannot add a third one from the panel. You could do that with custom modifications, but unfortunately time does not allow us to provide that as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support. But i can only assign one menu for the Main Header Menu.
