The blocks and grids for example will still be displayed on pages, because Visual composer is still active. If you use Visual composer for building pages, please deactivate the tagDiv composer. When both composers are active there could be issues.
The main page builder at the moment is the tagDiv composer, but Visual composer (now WPBakery page builder) is still provided in the theme package as an optional and alternative plugin for users that do not want to use the tagDiv composer.
The Newsletter plugin and also the multi-purpose plugin will work only with the tagDiv composer.
The shortcodes that appear on your homepage at the moment such as the info box element, are multi-purpose, they require the multi-purpose plugin active.
Please decide on a page builder and build pages entirely with it. Do not edit pages with both the composers, this will lead to problems.

I noticed the social counters had disappeared from the back end so I updated to Newspaper 8.7. None of the plugins would install, I kept getting an error message about ‘no valid headers’, so I installed manually via FTP. They installed successfully but the site now was just showing a blank white screen on every page. I tried removing the visual composer plugin and then reinstalling it and removing the TagDiv’s Composer plugin and reinstalling that but nothing will work.
I’ve been working on it now for about 6 hours and I’ve just had to reboot my site back a week to get it working. It is now on Newspaper 8.5 and the social counters appears on every page but the homepage. I’m really confused.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do?

I recently managed to change the URL of the main logo to a different one from the default one, but the logo in the sticky menu changes back to the default URL of the homepage, there is some way to change the logo URL in the sticky menu to other than the default one? I changed all the addresses of “href:” in: logo.php, logo-h1.php, logo-mobile-h1.php, logo-mobile-h1.php. But it keeps changing to the default in the sticky menu when I click on the logo, very grateful for your comments, greetings.
I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to add my picture, and change the text on my home page for the about me section. It’s driving me mad! Any advice? How do I get to it?!
Hi. The video used hast a small black fringe at the top, but in the Big Grid used in the homepage this fringe is much bigger. We’re using the Post Template Style 8 and video format post, we think the problem is how the thumbnail is being generated for the Big Grid 4.
But is it possible to have parts of the homepage static (like the first top set of posts) then the rest dynamic (newest posts)?

Hello, I just installed the “breaking news” demo. I really like the layout. My question is, how do I make a “static” series of posts? For example, the area under the “trending now” scroll — I want to display 5 articles there that never change and I can control the order (which article displays in what position.)

Dear Sir, I bought the theme urgently and when i clicked Default NewsMag Demo. The Demo Installation Got Completed But I can Just see the header of the homepage and nothing else. Can You please urgently rectify my issue.

Actually I just noticed that by going to “customize” from the homepage, comes out an error “soluzioneveloce has redirected you too many times”.

Thanks a lot for a beautiful theme and your support. I recommend your work to my friend all the time as I have been very satisfied with not only this theme but also your interest and quick response.
I am going to simply show pictures of my hood using a slide function. I am well aware of revolution slide, which I have already installed but kind of reckon this suits a landing page or a homepage. There should also be a built-in plug in for showing photos in a slide form.
What do you recommend?

It seems you need to learn how to use the page builder. All of the elements you mentioned are block titles on your homepage. They are not categories. They are simply titles. I’ve already created the categories in the Header Menu and they are (NEWS, METRO, ENTERTAINMENT, LIFESTYLE, MUSIC, SPORTS, POLITICS).

If you are using the mobile theme, please notice that the first big grid at the top of your homepage will be populated with the posts from Featured categories. I have an online site with the Newspaper theme installed, that I started some years ago with the “local news” demo but I made finally a lot of changes in three years.
Now I would like to change my website look, and I wold like to have another style like the “Recipes” demo.
What happens if I install the demo? It will overwrite my homepage immediately so users will see immediately the new site (with probably some issues like broken links, empty grids and others faluts to be corrected).
And what happens when I will unistall it? It will revert my website to the current status with my actual home, menues, pages, articles ?
What I would like is to have an help to know if it’s possible to create a sort of “test” (staging) enviroment to test the theme demo, to apply some changes, and then if it’s ok go to overwrite the online content with the test one.
Is this possible to do in this way in the theme or I have to manage a third party solution like a plugin or basically I will create another wordpress install importing the old site and then install the new demo, making all the changes, and finally go to overwrite the old site with the new one changing the directories/folders?

As you can see on my website the first ad and the first post on the homepage is not connected (there’s a white space in between), I want to get rid of the white space in between the first ad and the first post. Not sure if i have some setting messed up or what cause its my sidebar that makes the white space.

Not sure how to do this, but on our homepage we have a block showing the latest 5 posts, BUT I would like to exclude one category.
That single category is for a site sponsor and we have a dedicated block and page to promote their content.
