Hi,
I need Featured image in homepage, but I don’t want it to show inside the actual post.
I’ve read to remove <?php if( has_post_thumbnail() ) : ?> from single.php, but this code does not exist in my single.php file. Is there any alternate to remove featured image.

Hello! I’m using your excellent Travel template in my site, http://www.southamerica-tours.net. I wanted to set a customized background image for the homepage, so I configured it in “Row Settings > Image”, as you can see in the blog. However, the image block has a little offset, moving a few pixels downward.
I’d like to eliminate this little gap between the header and the background image, would you please help me out with this issue, if there’s any option to configure or css style to edit? Thank you and best regards!

For the below url. I have submited the sitemap in Search console and do the Fetch and render request. But since last 3 days google has not index the website. Even the homepage.

However for indexing I am using the https://www.industriesstory.com property. Which returns 200 Code and no robot.txt issue there. Google Bot is allowed to fetch and render.

I can’t find any big grid 5 on your homepage, only a big grid 4.
To remove the red color when hover over the thumbs from big grid 4 use this css in theme panel > custom code > custom css: http://screencast.com/t/rqKwLgME I changed the color to white but you can use any color, just change its code:

background-color: #fff!important;
}
If this is not what you mean please provide more details, also a screen pointing the desired result will help.

Unfortunately the subtitle field is not available in visual composer. the subtitle is for posts only. It’s a filed that can be filled on every post, but this option is not available in visual composer. Our modules and blocks do not display the subtitle by default. Hi guys, thanks for creating this awesome Theme. Before I begin I just wanted to tell you that I’m sort of a Word Press Newbie but I’m learning fairly quickly. So Far I have run into 2 problems.
1) I created a magazine and my magazine has a couple different sections (tech, sports, viral, TV, etc.) I recently posted a article in the sports section. I created categories for each section and I tagged the post with the sports category. So I only want this article to appear on the Sports and homepage. But unfortunately, Whenever I click on tech or fashion, its sitting right there too. How do I make it not show up in the other sections?
2) Again, with the sports section. Finding images for sports are very hard due to the right all being owned by Getty Images or the Associated Press. In the future, I’m planning on signing on with them on a subscription base. But for now I need to use images and I do not have the funds to start a subscription. So, I’m not sure if you are aware of this but Getty Images recently just started the feature where you can embed their images for free. The only problem with this is… I don’t know of its possible for me to make my featured image, a embed image? Is that at all possible?
I added the code but the dates on homepage mess up now. The dates on featured section and sidebar are the same now.
Let me know how to fix it.

Hi, i’m sorry but i think the fault is, i’m getting the registered scripts of the dashboard instead of the homepage. I seem to the scripts now. But another problem is the speedboost doesnt seem to work.

I deleted the cache content in wp-content > cache
however, pagespeed still shows the render block
here is my code added in speedbooster:
pagespeed seems to return the same renderblock error on the scripts i added. Also the default scripts like jquery etc..
I already tried in different browsers.

Unfortunately the color issue is because you have too many complex elements on your website that need to load so this is why you get the slow loading effect. Please try your block on an empty page to see how it loads the color so you will understand what I mean. The solution would be to use fewer complex elements on your homepage. As an alternative you could assign an extra class to the row in visual composer and add the background directly in style.css so it will load first.
As for the color, the title colors affect the block title itself, not the post titles inside the block: http://screencast.com/t/lXApmasL
You can only target post titles from a block with css:

2) Please enable your post date and author (if you do not want to show them you can hide them with css, not disable from the theme panel).
3)This is tied to your first issue. Follow the topic provided and add the code to redirect it to your homepage for example.
4) I’m not sure exactly what you mean but I assume you mean h1 or h2 tags on your homepage. If you do not add any titles to your page inside a h1 or h2 tag there won;t be any. You are the one that needs to set these titles in a text box and add the title in a h1 or h2. tyou can hide it with css if you do not want to show it.

I’m having trouble while manually updating from 2.1 to the latest version of Newsmag.
I’m using ftp to do so, I renamed the “old” folder Newsmag to a different name and uploaded the latest version instead. I’m also using a Child theme and wp_super_cache (which I flushed as well)
So with the latest version I get the following errors on any page, even in the wp-admin panel:

Hello Tagdiv team and Newspaper theme users. My hosting provider says, my website’s CPU usage is way too hight. After many rounds of optimization (disabling plugins, optimizing queries, heartbeat… I read a lot of stuff here and around internet + some tips from hosting company), we found out, that WP Super Cache plugin doesn’t work properly. No matter if I use mod_rewrite mode (legacy caching) or PHP caching, each time I reload any page (homepage or post), in the code we can see this line: <!-- Dynamic page generated in 0.598 seconds. -->
The “Dynamic page generated” line should appear only the first time a page is loaded. We checked, and the line appears on every page load. It seems that the caching plugin does not work properly.
Any tips how can I fix it?
