Also note Google rolled out Panda 4.1 this past month, and started changing some of the ways they show items in SERPS. You can specify how you wish your snippets to appear in Yoast SEO with preview function, but as is well known Google may change that to their own format regardless of what you do.
First step would be to install YOAST SEO< and check the preview function for SERPS then adjust your custom permalink meta data for titles and descriptions.
This theme supports micro format data, such as proper meta data for post title, breadcrumbs, ratings, etc., which your prior theme might not. This theme is setup the *correct* way to feed snippets to Google for SERPS.
But, the YOAST SEO plugin can help *you* dial that in a bit better on a case by case basis, such as home page, about pages, and posts.
You can always view your page *source* to see WHAT is actually in there.
And, of course, you can always switch back to another theme if none of that makes sense.
Thank you Christopher. Only for some private reasons, sometimes i must install another themes. First i change the theme, deactivate plugin than it will be ok. Later, when I want to use newspaper theme, I choose it again in themes section and reactivate that plugin.
hello, my permalink structure has always been /%postname%/ I’ve never made changes… this happened when I installed newspaper… newspaper has to do with this? thanks.
You can’t use the codes and elements from Newspaper in other themes, as you likely have discovered.
The codes, Visual Composer, etc., included with this theme are designed to work with this theme. Custom Shortcodes built into this theme won’t work with a different theme.
However “standard” blocks which are part of Visual Composer should work in different theme provided you have a licensed copy of Visual Composer…..
Be sure to deactivate the visual composer that came with this theme, delete it, then install the version from your new theme or the version you have purchased.
Thank you Lucian and adhi, WPBakery Visual Composer Had I DOES NOT MORE Installs . Now it shows die buttons again Right, thank you ! : -)
This plugin is outdated but still works on my install: https://wordpress.org/plugins/q2w3-inc-manager/
You could also manually add that to your single_… .php template files if you don’t want the overhead of another plugin.
Anecdote: We once had an old WP install where the webmaster had left registration open even after we moved the site to a subdomain as an archive and forgotten about it. When I checked it three years later, some 1,200 spam accounts had been created and been used to post a lot of content in Polish. It was hilarious.
Hi,
Unfortunately the theme doesn’t have an option for this. What you can do though is to install WordPress in English then use this plugin to change to RTL: https://wordpress.org/plugins/rtl-tester/ Unfortunately this works only for admin users.
You can try to find a plugin similar to this, like:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-rtl/
http://www.code-styling.de/english/development/wordpress-plugin-wp-native-dashboard-en
Hope this helps and sorry for the delay!
Thanks

You can still use CloudFlare just don’t use there “CDN service” but there is a lot more nice features that come with them, this week they giving FREE SSL Certificate to every one site that use they service..
The team at CloudFlare is excited to announce the release of Universal SSL™. Beginning today, we will support SSL connections to every CloudFlare customer, including the 2 million sites that have signed up for the free version of our service.
For all customers, we will now automatically provision a SSL certificate on CloudFlare’s network that will accept HTTPS connections for a customer’s domain and subdomains. Those certificates include an entry for the root domain (e.g., example.com) as well as a wildcard entry for all first-level subdomains (e.g., http://www.example.com, blog.example.com, etc.).
For a site that did not have SSL before, we will default to our Flexible SSL mode, which means traffic from browsers to CloudFlare will be encrypted, but traffic from CloudFlare to a site’s origin server will not. We strongly recommend site owners install a certificate on their web servers so we can encrypt traffic to the origin.
Later today we’ll be publishing a blog with instructions on how to do that at no cost. Once you’ve installed a certificate on your web server, you can enable the Full or Strict SSL modes which encrypt origin traffic and provide a higher level of security.
Hi,
Thanks adhi!

Hello,
I’m getting weird errors from the Error Log of CPanel that specifically pertains to the Newspaper Theme. They are as follows:
[Tue Sep 30 08:10:16.833430 2014] [autoindex:error] [pid 27199] [client 173.000.000.000] AH01276: Cannot serve directory ***** public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/js/: No matching DirectoryIndex (index.html.var,index.htm,index.html,index.shtml,index.xhtml,index.wml,index.perl,index.pl,index.plx,index.ppl,index.cgi,index.jsp,index.js,index.jp,index.php4,index.php3,index.php,index.phtml,default.htm,default.html,home.htm,index.php5,Default.html,Default.htm,home.html) found, and server-generated directory index forbidden by Options directive, referer: http://***sitename****/****sitepost***
And would go on and go on. I tried reinstall the theme but it wouldn’t still clear itself.
Any ideas?
Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins then check if this issue is still there, this may occur due to a plugin conflict. If this issue is still present please switch to a WordPress default theme and check again, if still doesn’t show means that your WordPress installation may be broken.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

VERY THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.
Copying and pasting files is necessary but not enough to move a WP install.
WP is not just a bunch of files, as you might know. It’s a bunch of files organized by a database. In order to properly move your site, you need to find your database in your current host’s control panel, export all tables, create a new database on the new host, and import again, and then make sure wp-config.php is set to find the new one.
If you don’t know how to do this, someone here can probably walk you through it, but the first step might be to contact your hosting provider – old and/or new – and let them know you want to move a WP install. There are also many tutorials out there, including the official WP docs, but they’re a little hard to read on this point.
I’m just making that assumption that you might want that info, because the answer to this particular case is: featured images are not copies of regular image files (can you imagine the space they’d take up? :p). They’re pointers in the database, tied to each post. Specifically, the wp_postmeta table has the meta_key columns “thumbnail” and “thumbnail_id”, which tell WP which image is a post’s featured image.
But if you move your database properly, you don’t have to worry about copying and pasting individual tables. 🙂
Same over here, the dropdown menu is messed up after updating to 4.4
example: http://goo.gl/F1fyL
This is what i’ve tried so far:
– Flush all cache (no improvement)
– Disable all plugins (no improvement)
– Deactivating Cloudflare (no improvement)
– Rolling back to 4.3 (dropdown menu looked fine again)
– Installed 4.4 (dropdown messed up)
I will follow this topic for updates.
Cheers!

Hi,
I have checked this and found no issue with his plugin, please make sure you use the 2.4 version which you can install from plugins folder which came along with the theme files.
Make sure you empty cache and purge CDN files if you use any and also make sure you add the right Facebook ID.
Thanks
Hi,
The plugin updates this info once every 3 hours so it can be that this difference came from there.
Please make sure you install the social counter plugin latest version (Version 2.4) this version is include in theme’s latest version files or you can send an e-mail at contact@tagdiv.com and make a request for.
Thanks
hi,
Please use this guide and re-install the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder.
Please let me know if this solves this issue.
Thanks
Hi,
@pvisser You can hide this by adding the following custom css into the wp-admin.css file: http://screencast.com/t/0fSO7cw0
#setting-error-tgmpa {
display: none;
}
Thanks
Ah. This is likely related to the user roles question, where only super admin/user should be able to see that and not “contributors” … or “editors” ….
We use a plugin to hide all the admin stuff from anybody who is an editor or contributor, so they cannot install plugins, edit the admin stuff, etc. Not sure that would work with that popup.
that is a very good question !
I’m assuming somebody has tried this logging in as a role lower than admin, to see if the popup for install is still there?
Good question for Lucian, Marius, et al. Sorry I don’t know answer. 🙂
Ok. So I have deleted my theme and installed the brand-new and un-customized version of Newspaper. But I couldn’t get the Show Author under Posts feature to work. How can I use this <?php echo get_the_author();?> to show author name?
Thanks!
I think he means there are many users, each of whom will see it on their dashboard, and he doesn’t want them to see a message intended for admin like that. I’m not sure how to disable it for all users…
