Great! Thanks a lot!
Hi,
You can use the theme on multiple setups and you can enter the same code for each setup. It’s not bound to a domain so you don’t need to worry.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi,
Take a look at the error.log if you have access to it. If not please contact the server administrator and ask him about this error.
You can also try a fresh full install of wordpress, theme, plugins.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi,
Please make sure you follow this guide and install the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder that came with the theme files.
If this does not help please deactivate all plugins, clear cache(s), CDN caches if you use any and try again.
Please let me know.
Thanks

Hi Guys,
I just installed this Excerpt plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-excerpt/) because I want more options and control over my excerpts than the Newspaper Theme can give me.
Unfortunately, after installation and configuration of the plugin, the Newspaper theme still controls my excerpts.
Question: how do I turn of the Newspaper excerpt control so this plugin can take over?
Thanks!
Hi,
Do you have access to the error log file? If you do please send me a copy of it.
Also try to delete all plugins and re-install the theme following this steps: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installation/
Thanks
Hi,
I have tested this using the latest theme version 4.3 and with WPBakery Visual Composer version 4.3.4 and worked fine for me: http://screencast.com/t/h8547NHbMdVa
As you noticed the css to style the buttons dose not apply in your case, this is because the classes used by css are missing: http://screencast.com/t/V3LhNREDXhGB
Please make sure you install the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin from the plugins folder that came with themes files like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Also try to deactivate all plugins and then check if this issue is still there.
Thanks
Hi there,
I recently bought the newspaper theme and initially set up two instances of WordPress using the theme. One is the live version and the other one is for testing / quality assurance purposes. So before I introduce a new feature or widget on the live page, I would like to test it first within a safe environment, so that I’m almost certain, not to break the live site. That’s the idea behind it…
Now both instances (live & test) ask for a theme licence code and I am not sure, if I can enter the same licence in two instance. Both have the same “domain” and just different “subdomains” (like: http://www.domain.com and test.domain.com).
Can I enter the same licence on both the live and the test installation or do I really have to buy a second licence for my test system??
AND: Is the licence bound to a particular domain? At a later stage I need to change the subdomain of the live site (e.g. from wp.domain.com to http://www.domain.com). Will this work?
Thanks and best wishes
Martin
I’ve just bought Newspaper theme, install it and now they have problem word
“internal server error”
the server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request
How can I solve a problem.
Thank you
I used to have that problem. I installed this plugin, which is old but still works perfectly fine (as recently as yesterday): https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-facebook-share-thumbnails/
1) backup data
2) switch to twenty-fourteen theme or similar; clear cache(s), CDN caches, etc.
3) delete the wpbakery folder in the old theme if running pre 4.0 Newspaper theme; delete entire theme folder ideally
4) update to new 4.2+ theme if not already done; upload new theme folder into wp-content/themes/
5) install the VC plugin into the plugins folder; not into the theme folder; activate plugin
6) select theme, activate
7) check site; you may need to reselect widgets to refresh them
8) resave permalinks if needed
9) restart cache/CDN if all working
Hi,
Please follow this guide and delete the plugin then install it from the plugins folder that came with the theme files, you don’t need to rename any folder, just delete the plugin and install from the plugins folder: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Thanks
Hi Emil, i installed couple of time but there is no change, i will try to add new article and if it goes wrong i will send you wp-admin and ftp access login informations.
Thanks so much.
The shortcodes are not working for our installation. If I try to activate the WPBakery/js_composer as a normal plugin I get a
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare wpb_getImageBySize() (previously declared in /wp-content/themes/Newspaper/wpbakery/js_composer/composer/lib/helpers.php:15) in /wp-content/plugins/js_composer/include/helpers/helpers.php on line 67
From the documentation it appears that this plugin should be installed as a normal plugin in the plugin folder. In the wp-content/themes/Newspaper folder there is a folder called wpbakery. If I rename this folder, I get a white screen on the entire site as long as the newspaper theme is activated. So I can’t deactivate the current installation of it to move it to the plugins folder to see if that will allow the shortcodes to work.
Hi,
Please try to reinstall the plugin, install the latest version from the plugin folder.
If this doesn’t work please send an email at contact@tagdiv.com , specify the issue and provide wp-admin and ftp access so i can take a look.
Thank you, Emil G.
Hi

Hey guys, and TagDIV support,
Yesterday I purchased the Ubermenu plugin and installed it on my website http://www.techplanet.nl.
Unfortunately, the Ubermenu somehow does not fit completely over the default menu.
See illustrations with and without using a background image:
With Background: http://goo.gl/yhFkpx
No Background: http://goo.gl/a72mFe
(I prefer using no background on my website)
Can you guys help me with correcting this problem? What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
P.s. I followed the Ubermenu integration instructions for the Newspaper theme, here: http://sevenspark.com/docs/ubermenu-newspaper-tagdiv

Hi,
Sorry for the delay! I have checked this and found no issue using the latest theme version 4.3 and the latest VC Version 4.3.4, the VC row can be added like this: http://screencast.com/t/VjkXgyc7D
Should work fine, please make sure you have installed the plugin correctly, use this guide for this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/update-the-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
Please let us know if you still have any issue with this.
Hope this helps!
Thnaks
after installing and activate w3 total cache and deletion all caches the slider links suddenly works again 🙂 but the speed of the homepage is terrible 🙁
If you’re using IE11 try using Chrome; IE11 doesn’t do well with Ajax menus.
Also, be sure you deleted your old plugins and replace them with the updated ones; deleted old theme folder and updated with new one.
Some people report issues when you “over-write” the old folders with new update, which adss new files to old but doesn’t delete the deprecated files.
CLEAN install often fixes weird gremlins!
Yep, managing your updates for a theme is the best way to fix issues.
For major versions of theme update, it’s best to delete old version of theme, and install new one; delete and replace old versions of plugins with new ones.
Common sense for updating a theme. This is why the WP updater deletes old plugins before installing a new version.
Often with dot revisions you can “over write” the old version; but when you have problems, you need to delete all the old stuff, to do full upgrade to NEW version. Just like when updating WordPress itself — you don’t over-write (add to) the existing includes and admin folders, you DELETE the old folders and upload the NEW ones. Same with themes and plugins.
That is part of the main WordPress install and not part of the theme, so I’d likely start by turning off your plugins, then turning them back on one by one to see if you still get that error.
You generally do *NOT* want to edit the core WordPress files inside admin, or includes, unless you know what you’re doing.

I’ve done a fresh install and that didn’t fix the issue.
Wellll…. I went from 3.9.2 to 4.1 and had no issues, but I deleted the old theme folder entirely.
So, I did
1) backup dbase
2) backup “theme settings”
3) switch to twenty-twelve theme
4) delete wp-content/themes/Newspaper – folder
5) upload new theme
6) delete old visual composer folder – as noted in the update documentation on this forum
7) install new VC plugin, and new plugins from the new theme (speedbooster, etc.)
8) turn off ALL plugins
9) activate newspaper theme
10) activate visual composer theme
11) check theme settings
That worked for me.
