Hello,
The demo-style.css is the only file getting loaded. The rest are loaded through the theme pane and medi library. A demo is mostly css as it does not change the theme functionality, just it;s style.
You can load a demo only from the theme demo section: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/ You cannot load it any other way. If you want to save the theme settings you can export them like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/import-export-theme-settings/
We did not test this switch you mention so there is no simple solution I can provide. Sorry. In order to create a custom code that can do that you will have to inspect this file to see how a demo is being loaded:

Thanks.
Hi,
Can I be connected to a Developer? I need to know the process of how is Install Demo working? Because I really need the feature of Switch template example: Black to Default. when I press a button at Home.
Let me know the possibilities. I’m also a developer, but I’m having a hard time understanding the architecture.
Thanks!
Hi,
These are custom css rules added for the specific demos. As you can imagine you can only get that result wither by installing the demo or altering the theme css. Each demo has it;s own custom css to provide the unique style.
You can use the browser inspector to compare the code from the beauty blog and the code from your element to figure out which rules have been changed.
Here is an example of how the separator is changed: http://screencast.com/t/ZTIzKOUDnbE
Every css rule that is added custom for a demo is present in the demo_style.css file
Thank you!
Hello,
I’m not sure exactly why either because here is how it shows up on our end: http://screencast.com/t/gKqy5e6EGiiZ
You probably did not install the demo data so the demo ad is not shown. If you want to see the exact layout you will have to install the demo with the demo data included like so: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Than you!
Cant figure out why when I install the demo theme on a fresh install of wordpress that it doesnt look the same as the demo at http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video/. http://imgur.com/a/FCUWL Image of my site after installation of dem, http://imgur.com/a/yj88z demo showcase site by tagdiv. Why is my site not showing the section with the add in and no padding above ‘Popular’? Cant get my head round it. really frustrating! thanks
Unfortunately it seems your content is mission from your site. The theme does not handle the content. It is handled by wordpress and stored in the database. The theme will not delete your content. It only styles how the content is shown, but it will not be able to delete content. The theme only deletes the demo content installed by the demos. If you edited a demo and edited all the posts and then switched demos, then the content could have been removed, but not if you created your own content though. Please do not edit the demo content that comes with the demos as it will get removed when uninstalling a demo or switching demos.
Sorry but I do not know of any other explanation for missing content.
Thank you!
Hi there.
1. I’ve completed all actions instructed, except for CDN files and jetpack image features, since I’m using none. Cache is cleared, some custom logo for the header removed and all other plugins deactivated and only Visual Composer remains active. PROBLEM PERSISTS. Please notice that the image in my WordPress Media section appears to be alright; it’s when displaying it in the front end that it gets blurry. Please help.
2. You’ve got this one all wrong. I’m not trying to make my site look as Wedding demo after installing the Politics demo; that would be dumb. I’m just asking for some code to display the thin grey bottom line under the top bar that you show as a feature in your Header Style 10 documentation (see here https://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/). That’s all… You show the bottom border as a feature of the Header Style 10 in the documentation, so I want it there, it’s not that difficult.
Thanks again,
Fidel
Hello hkubilayonal,
I guess that you are imported the demo with the content, right? So, please notice that our theme has an option to import the demo without content and then you can create your homepage by your desired. For more information about this, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/ Also, if you want to erase the others homepage layouts you should delete them from Menus, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/XdjAiVkA0lLs
Thanks for the message!
Hello sharma_sharma,
Please notice that you should install the tech demo from our panel and then when editing the homepage you can see what type of elements are used. For more information about this, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Thanks for the message!
Hello,
Sorry but we do not have a customization department. Here is a little help. I assume you are referring to the homepage layout of the black demo. Please do as follows:
1. Install the black demo without content: http://screencast.com/t/usORxIMiC3n
2. Create a new page in the WP admin dashboard.
3. Access classic mode and text mode like so: http://screencast.com/t/nkpWAHGOnW
4. Paste all of the content from this link into your page in text mode: http://pastebin.com/gw71YSyi
5. Save the page and set it as your homepage
Now you will have the exact demo layout without installing the dummy content.
I hope this helps
Thank you!

Hi,
Why is it that when I install a demo all the content is not installing, I am a newbie and would like to install one of the demos and edit the pages? Thank you
Hello theleaderdotinfo,
Maybe this tutorial will be useful for you in this regard, like this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for the message!
Have you taken a look at their tutorials on installing/uninstalling demos?
Hello sorindumitru,
Please keep in mind that all of our demos are available from Theme panel, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/ZKZnsdosqm Notice that all of the demo files come bundled with the theme packet, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/VYcotF7j For more information about how you can install our demos, please consult here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Thanks for your understanding!
By losing my own content I mean:
After installing the demo I wrote and then published at least 200 messages with video attachments. This is content that I added from scratch myself. I would like to maybe change to another demo. Will the postings that I added personally myself be deleted if I change demos?
Hello richardgaspa,
Please provide more information regarding no your own content….what does means this? Your own content means that your content is created from scratch or the demo content has edited with your content? So, please notice that if you created your own content from scratch, it was loaded on your database and if you want to switch your actual demo to another, you will not loose your data. Otherwise, the data will be lost. For more information regarding on installing demo, please consult the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Thanks for your understanding!
I just purchased a domain from godaddy and the website is live.
However, newsmag theme isn’t uploaded yet. Can you tell me how do i get a website exactly similar to the one in the demo.
I followed this link and tried to install without the demo content but the website is not exactly as shown in the demo. (i tried this in another website, not the one i’m talking about)
This is my new website.
You can see that its just installed without a single post except the default ones. Please tell me as to how should i go about to make the website a complete replica of a demo.
1) Should i post articles first?
2) Should i upload the theme?
Hello,
I’m not sure what exactly do you want to achieve. The say what demo is not a page demo. It is a theme “skin”. You will not find it in the demo pages you see in the main menu. Please use this guide to install demos: https://forum.tagdiv.com/installing-demos/
Thank you!
Hello rahulagg25,
I guess that you want to change your actual website with our theme, like Newsmag, right? First of all, you should make a full back-up for you data to avoid the way for losing this and then you have to remove the actual theme and replace it with our theme via FTP because this is the surest method in this regard. If you have your content which should be loaded in your database, you will have to import the demo without content because the theme will recognize your content from another theme which should be loaded in your database. For more information about installing the theme via FTP, please consult our useful tutorial here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/newsmag-install-via-ftp/
Hope this helps!
Thanks for your understanding!
I was able to solve my issue of installing the demo, discussed in this thread, by disabling all plugins and installing the demos.
https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/installing-multiple-demos-removing-old-data/#post-142671
The issue came when re activating PBakery Visual Composer which I understand is a required plugin. When the plugin is turned OFF/de activated, the front end appears fine. When the plugin is running/active, I get the following error…
Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_shortcode_custom_css_has_property() in /home/search/public_html/drmarkdemo/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 53.
Is there a solution for this? Please help, my client is anxious to see the demo, but I need things to be working properly.
Thank you.
Hello richmond,
Unfortunately, there is no option to remove Newsmag Demo templates, sorry! All of these are available in our theme panel and could be installed. Eventually, you should use a bit of CSS code to hide the demos which you want to hide to prevent the installing another demo. Look at the following screenshot and can use the same method to hide which demo you want to get rid out, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/DV2pvERbsEX You should be careful because you can break the theme layout. You can check here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
Thanks for the message!
Above info is fine.
However, I am getting an error when installing the travel demo… I check the dialog box and followed the instructions..\
define(‘WP_DEBUG’, false);
permissions on upload folder 755
When viewing the front end I see ONLY the menu and logo and this
Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_shortcode_custom_css_has_property() in /home/search/public_html/drmarkdemo/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/vc_templates/vc_row.php on line 53
Any help would be appreciated as client is anxious to see and decide on the look of the site.
I’d like to show a client various incarnations of the Newspaper demo, but I don’t want to bloat the site with demo content. When I install a different demo, is the first installed automatically removed, or most I do that manually?
And if manually, is that simply deleting all posts/pages and media?
Thanks.
