Hi,

I need help regarding the mobile menu background/search image, it is showing in desktop, it flashes when I go to homepage and navigating between the post.. it flashes before the page is loaded.

I turned off all the plugin, but it is still there.
Site: https://www.dogshealthblog.com

Can you help me to fix it? Thank you.

The default behaviour is that the main menu appears on the hamburger menu on mobile. But my requirement is different. I either want a separate menu or the top menu to appear in its place. How can I change it?

If not through the UI, where to tweak? Which file? Please guide.

Hello,
I’m writing to see if anyone has experienced this and can provide some tips we could use to troubleshoot.
At some point, the mobile menu and mobile search button stopped working, when our site is viewed on a phone. (Viewing the page in responsive/mobile view on a desktop Chrome/Firefox works fine.)
The odd thing is, the menu/search button works on most single article pages, but not on pages which include blocks listing video stories. (We found this by deleting blocks one by one, until we found that blocks with video seem to ‘break’ the link to the mobile menu.)
Example can be found on https://www.caymancompass.com, where the search or menu buttons do not respond to touch. This means that when the home page is viewed on a phone (android or iPhone), the buttons for menu and search do nothing.
We are using the regular theme, not the mobile theme plugin.

We have other sites using this theme, without these problems. We cannot find any obvious differences though.
Our live site is still at Newspaper 7.3, due to some custom code required by the boss, which needs to be rebuilt to work with themes newer than 7.5. Any hints (that don’t involve full upgrade to 8.7+) would be appreciated.
We tried: turning off Autoptimize and WP SuperCache, clearing cache in Cloudflare, upgrading to the latest visual composer, downgrading visual composer, turning off some plugins we added, removing and replacing blocks on home page, commenting out CSS, taking out Javascript and/or CSS from Autoptimize.
It could be something simple we missed. Any hints would be appreciated.

Hello, I am new here, I want to ask about newspaper theme.

Whenever I am on my site in mobile device, when I click the mobile menu button, my site will revert back to the top and load the menu.

How to change this? I want to stop the mobile menu back to the top of page when I click the mobile menu button.

Thanks

Best regards

Hello,

I’m working on a site that’s based off the Dental Studio demo. https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_dentist/

In the menu bar, you can click on the various links and it will smooth scroll to the class indicated for each and it works with a fullscreen browser. However, if you view the page on mobile or shrink your browser horizontally such that it uses the mobile menus, there are problems with scrolling when clicking on links in the mobile menu. This happens in the demo so it’s not specific to my implementation.

To reproduce, with a fullscreen browser, click on “Team” in the menu. You’ll see that it scrolls right to the top of the blue section as expected. Now, on mobile, or with a horizontally shrunk browser window on desktop, use the “hamburger” menu to select “Team”, and you’ll see that scrolls to the wrong location. It’s way above the correct section.

Please advise.

Thanks,
Nick

Hello,

Please how can I insert an advertising banner under the main menu and on all pages of the site?

On the home page I have inserted AdBox, but it is not shown on the other pages of the site (category,post,page,tag…).
https://snag.gy/GSErcM.jpg

I manually entered the AdBox code of the home page in the header-style-3.php file and the ads are displayed correctly on all pages. Of course I will remove the AdBox from the home page. https://snag.gy/2QYd5f.jpg

I just have to test better on mobile devices and possibly make some minor changes to the CSS. I will also remove unused CSS classes.

Some pages of my site:

http://cambiovita360.it/tag/italia/

Please what do you think? Am I doing the right thing?

Thanks so much.

Hi,

Indeed on mobile the page will not be displayed in the mobile menu. The mobile menu is limited to drop-down menu style. Mega-menus will also not be displayed on mobile with the same style as they are on desktop, they will be drop-downs.
So the page menus would be suited for desktop but not for mobile. You could use the mobile theme and set a different mobile menu for mobiles

Thanks

Hi Bogdan,

Just found that this menu works great on desktop/ipad:
http://i65.tinypic.com/67797q.jpg

But it doesn’t work on mobile. There is no down-arrow on mobile and so it is not clickable/expandable.
http://i63.tinypic.com/2zsabuu.jpg

Is there any solution for that?
(ps: I am working on localhost as my site is still offline.)

Thanks.

Hi, if you want to get rid of the orange color, you can change the theme accent color:
https://www.screencast.com/t/QhRM65NrzfAC
The hover color is still not changed as I mentioned on FB: https://www.screencast.com/t/B3r3rRCjrM
The mega menu also has an accent color: https://www.screencast.com/t/KemTssYV
Mobile menu as well: https://www.screencast.com/t/mND4EH9Zf
If you want to change the headers color from black to another color, please change this field: https://www.screencast.com/t/fdJJbPfm
The overlapping ads in your sidebar come from the 970 px width you add for the content ads. The main content is only 696 px. You cannot fit a 970 px ad in there.

Thank you!

Luckily we have a fiber optic connection with a high speed transmission and that works very well for us. We have no problems when we browse through other websites or platforms on the internet.

Please try to connect to the web again from any mobile and try to open the menu. Please confirm if you can do it without problems.

Thanks

Hi, On the mobile it takes about 20 seconds to open the menu and we are testing it with fast Wi-Fi connections. We need it to go faster because users that connect to the web do not expect so much.

I can confirm that the last loading section of the website takes a long time, but I can not find the reason.

Can you help me please?

I put my web access in my profile.

I am waiting for your news. Thanks in advance.

Best

Hello dartsworld,

I saw that you are using the Mobile Theme and the menu for this element has not been set up. Please check the Theme panel and make the changes from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/lzfpZrYdze5

Hello hebbars.kitchen,

Please understand that the main functionality of AMP plugin is to display the posts very quickly on the Google’s eye. Basically, when a client in on AMP version, he is not on your website (that’s why your visits were falling down more and more ) and the main goal is to redirect it to your own website. The AMP will have to be viewed as a preview to the posts pages of your website which are delivered by the Google AMP Cache. This is a proxy-based content delivery network for delivering all valid AMP documents. It fetches AMP HTML pages, caches them, and improves page performance automatically. For more information about this case and to better understand the operating system for this plug-in, please check the following useful manual from here -> https://www.searchenginejournal.com/difference-accelerated-mobile-pages-amp-mobile-friendly-pages/172967/
As a very good example, please check the official page of Seo Yoast and there you will see that they have not implemented the menu bar on AMP pages, as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/OfzMGTLPQk
For more references and for a better understanding of AMP functionality please read the plugin documentation!!!

Thanks for your understanding!

When I load my site https://www.dartsworld.com and click on the menu, it says click here to use the menu builder rather than the menu? How do I get the normal menu to load?

Hello,

There is no trick. You simply post one question and wait for the answer. We answer from oldest to newest. If you post multiple replies in the same topic it will be moved to fresher posts and delay the answer.
Unfortunately there is no simple way of making the mobile menu kick in earlier. You can try a search and replace through the thee files and replace the 767 px which is the trigger for the mobile theme and change it with a bigger value, but you will have to be careful for each case in particular to not break the code.

Thank you!

Hello great1212,

1)Your logo has black color and that’s why on mobile devices this is not visible because the very top banner is black. Try the code below and place it in Theme panel -> Custom CSS area.

The code is ->

@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full, .td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap, .td-header-wrap .td-header-main-menu {
background-color: white !important
}
@media (max-width: 767px){
#td-top-mobile-toggle i{
color:black!important;
}
@media (max-width: 767px){
.header-search-wrap .td-icon-search {
color: black !important;
}

The result is here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/RyyPOmOE

2)The footer uses the logo in full width and that’s why you bring different results. Try to change the footer template.

3)Please check the following the topic from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/social-counter-and-instagram-problem/

Hello daosorio,

I have checked your website on mobile and the Menu works as expected. Try to clear all the caches, remove all of your untested plugins if you are using something like this and check the results.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi,

1. The mobile menu must be made transparent from the theme colors section: https://www.screencast.com/t/2Y6lF0u4j

2.Unfortunately the sticky menu cannot affect the content. There is no simple way of having the entire content scroll under the menu. It is not a simple modification to make as the scrolling sidebar is js loaded as well as the menu. Sorry but you will have to hire a freelancer to help out with this implementation.

Thank you!

I want the mobile menu to kick in earlier (say for screen widths under 1200 pixels).
How do I do that?

Thanks

We have not tested tabbing through the site unfortunately, as this is not a standard user behavior. The mobile menu will be loaded but the menu is hidden from view and is not accessible otherwise.
This is how the theme functions, both menus will be loaded and each served based on device. I am sorry of this is an inconvenience for you. I will add this to our list and pass this info to our development team and maybe in the future this will change.

Hello,
I have the theme installed on the dailyeyipantla.com site.
However, I have problems in the menu when viewing the site from a mobile device (smartphone).
The search button (right side) always works, but the left menu, which has the categories of the site, doesn’t always work, sometimes it opens, sometimes it doesn’t open.
What will it take… could you please help me…?
Thank you very much

Hi, I have 2 questions.

1. I’m using pagebuilder+overlay menu for page template. At first, the header menu wouldn’t be transparent so I use the code as below and it’s working now.

.page-template-page-pagebuilder-overlay .td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full {
background-color: transparent;
}

but it’s not working on mobile. The header menu still won’t be transparent.

2. How can I adjust padding-top when I add row ID to use smooth scrolling? I’m using sticky menu(Header style3-multipurpose). So when I scrolling, headlines will be covered with menu bar.

You cannot remove that, that is the theme functionality at the moment. The mobile menu will be loaded together with the page content and there is no possibility of removing it.

Hello,

We have not tested tabbing through the site as this is not a standard user behavior. You cannot see anything when tabbing around except for the url at the bottom. The mobile menu is hidden from view and is not accessible otherwise. Please do not remove any code from the theme and ignore any tabbing issues as there is no implementation for ‘tabbing’ around. I will add this to our list and pass this info to our development team.

Thank you!
