Hi, I hope you can help me with my issue. I am no longer able to hide or move a sidebar element when viewing a page on mobile after switching to tagDiv Composer. I have looked in every menu and on every page I know of and see zero controls for this. For example, if I have a social counter the sidebar of my homepage at the top, I would like it to have a lower placement on a mobile phone. Visual Composer had this feature and I want it back. Thanks.

Strange the website is working well, try the English ver. http://www.whyblog.net and switch to Arabic from footer menu. am not planning to do RTL fully change .. am fine with normal current situation …

i have used this code to hide the mobile menu that appears once i add new language:
#td-mobile-nav {
position: fixed;
}

my only issue is the website shows nothin untill you make a move (scroll) if you can help me with the mobile menu (to hide it without any issue) it would be perfect for me and no need to refund then.

Thanks,

Hi Catalin,

Do you mean the content of header menu on mobile theme has not been shown up due to Font settings? What is the solution specifically and technically for my web because the problem still remains.

Thanks!

As a quick update. It came either with install of theme, or installing the lifestyle demo (I did with no content).
Edited with solution

I found it in the admin:
wp-admin > newspaper > theme panel > background > mobile-menu / search background. (also in the sign in / join section below it)

background image has “http://192.168.0.194/wp_011_lifestyle/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/47.jpg”

I removed and all is well.

Hi Simion,

Yes, I’m aware that the website loads fast – this is not what I’m talking about. The issue is that something is that something is continuing to load in the background after all visible elements have fully loaded.

For example, if you load the website in Chrome, the tab (at the top of the screen) will show spinning wheel to indicate that something is still loading. While this is visible, mobile menus do not work, nor do sticky sidebars.

Does that make sense?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi, I’m having a page loading issue on my website.

I’ve made some page speed optimisations and now the website is loading very quickly. Part of these optimisations are from the TagDiv documentation.

The problem is that for some reason, the website is still “loading” (e.g. a spinning wheel in Chrome or Firefox) after everything on the page has fully loaded. As a result of this, my mobile menus and sidebars are also have issues – for example, my mobile menu does not work until the website has fully “loaded” after 30+ seconds, even though all the visible page elements are loaded and functional after 1-2 seconds.

I’ve tried disabling all plugins as well as adjusting my current setup but I can’t figure out how to fix this issue.

Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Chris

Hello,

You can already change the background color or set a background image to the mobile menu:
https://www.screencast.com/t/EMS3CJcDb8https://www.screencast.com/t/WuiSmv9Eo1b
But there is no way of altering the functionality of the menu without substantial coding knowledge.

Thanks.

Hi,

1. You could try with a FullHD image – 1920×1080px this should provide best results. As an example this is the background image used on a category page in the theme demo
https://www.screencast.com/t/AFZo2uDS

2. For the mobile menu or search background you can experiment with different image sizes, there is no specified size requirement. You can try a few images and see which is the best to use.

3. For ad tracking maybe you can find a plugin that has the option. Some users have installed the Adrotate plugin, that could have what you are looking for.

4. Post template 8 uses the featured image as background image, that is the style of the template. This will override the website background. You can use a different post template style, if you do not want this to happen.

Thanks

Hello lilioligue,

Please keep in mind that the Top Bar menu has not been designed to be displayed on mobile devices because we have it on mobile menus, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/hDgMs2gvFeN and that’s why it does not appear here anymore -> https://www.screencast.com/t/2LiQdKwen

Thanks for your understanding!

I had this same problem. I don’t recommend going into the database to fix it, but if you go to the Newspaper Theme Panel -> Background -> Mobile menu/Search background AND Sign in/Join Background, you can delete the background images from there.

Note to the developer, you should remove that reference to your local machine in the demos. I installed demo “News Magazine” and it includes those references and slows down the overall loading of the site.

The mobile menu is not nice at all with it’s outdated gradient background, poor functioning links and laggyness. How to completely change it to a more modern look, faster and better functionality?

Hi, I’m planning to use the Background Ad for the first time this week, but several things are very unclear. I have searched through the documentation and cannot find complete information and there was no video tutorial specifically for background ads.

1) What are the dimensions that I provide my advertiser. I know from searching the forums that the recommended image size is 1920×1080 – But is there a recommended resolution?

2) What size should the mobile menu image be?

3) I assume there is no tracking system in place (i.e. Impressions, click through rates). I can track clicks with a tracking link, but how do people track impressions – especially since the background ad doesn’t show on all post types.

4) We use post template 8 for certain posts (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-2015-awards-all-of-the-best-and-worst-moments-from-the-show/) – it looks like the background ad can’t replace the overflow. Is there a workaround?

I welcome any advice in using the Background Ad feature – especially from people who have used it to sell site takeovers.

Hello! Sometimes when the page is just loaded in my website, https://shilpaahuja.com/, the search bar doesn’t open. Instead it just creates a URL https://shilpaahuja.com/#
Also: sometimes when the page is just loaded in the mobile, the menu doesn’t open. It just makes the Safari window slightly smaller.
Both these problems usually happen when the page is not loaded fully and someone clicks on search bar or menu. But our readers have no way of knowing that they only load once the page is loaded fully.

Please help. Our readers have no way of accessing the extra content without the menu or search bar, and most of our traffic is mobile. We are using Newspaper 7

Hi,

If you are using the mobile theme plugin, this has the possibility to use have a different menu on mobile devices. When you activate this plugin, a mobile section will be available in the theme panel. There you can set the menu that will be displayed on mobile
https://www.screencast.com/t/Gj7aBDPeVeE2
https://www.screencast.com/t/MogvqB9Qm
Here you can find more information about the mobile theme provided in the theme package

Thanks

Hello Lilian,

Notice that using the Child Theme is optional and it is useful when you want to make some customizations which you will not lose to a possible update. You can use the Google Tag Managers according to their tutorial, here -> https://www.optimizesmart.com/beginners-guide-google-tag-manager-v2/ If you want that your top bar menu to be displayed on your mobile version, you should provide your website URL so I can take a closer look at it and also, so I will be able to provide a more accurate response.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the message!

Hello,

First of all I found the theme pretty awesome, congratulations on developing such a nice theme.

In order to add google tag managers codes in the header php do I need to do this on the child theme?

In case a child theme is necessary, can i use the plugin child theme configurator to clone the theme?

Also, the top menu won’t show on mobile version of the website, only on desktop version.

Thank you,

Lílian.
