- TutorialsWhat is Ajax preloading?
1st problem:
I got my menu to now be 30px height but when I scroll the sticky menu is 48px height. I even updated the menu_affix_height to 30 in tagdiv_theme.min.js and tagdiv_theme.js ?? http://www.aeriographer.com
2nd problem:
When I look at it on mobile the top ad banner is beind the menu bar now instead of below it.
Hi
The theme uses logo for mobile on afix (when you scroll up or down and have the sticky menu) so you need to change that too: http://screencast.com/t/e2JQV6fpjfi
Let me know how it goes.
Thanks!
Thank for your support!. Now topbar menu works in mobile as I want.
Hi,
Unfortunately the top-bar was not designed for mobile device and it is hidden. You can display the sign in widget on mobile using this custom css in Theme Panel > Custom Css – http://screencast.com/t/XmLAEEm65m
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-top-menu-full, .td-header-top-menu-full .td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block !important;
}
.td-header-top-menu-full .td_data_time, .td-header-top-menu-full .menu-top-container, .td-header-top-menu-full .td-header-sp-top-widget {
display: none !important;
}
}
If the code doesn’t work please provide a link so I can inspect this.
Thanks!
Hi, I am using register/login form in topbar menu. But in mobile, topbar menu is not viewable. What can I do to use register/login form or topbar menu in mobile. Thanks
Hi,
I disabled all the plugins, but it didn’t work and the mobile menu is not working. I also don’t use visual composer plugin. The only modifications we have done are in header.php and footer.php and they are only the codes for advertisements.
Please advise,
Hi All!
I am using Newspaper on my site http://positivemed.com and for the past several weeks I’ve noticed that the mobile menu does not work on the iPhone 6 and 5. I haven’t checked any android devices. The menu is working fine on desktop devices, but for some reason it is not working on mobile. Has anyone experienced this issue and is there a fix?
thanks,
Nima
Hello robert4web,
The theme was designed in such a way that the top menu is hidden on the mobile version. There is a workaround however, using a custom CSS code, but you need to tell us what you want your mobile top-menu to contain, because the space is limited on mobile phones and adding all of the content (login widget, menu and social icons) will take up a big portion of the screen.
Examples:
full content: http://screencast.com/t/TXZeKqUbxqyY
login widget with social icons: http://screencast.com/t/jxljko5scU8T
just login widget: http://screencast.com/t/ISsO24sPjd1v
Thank you.
Hi,
You cannot make the mobile menu to work on tablets just with css code, you will need many modifications to the code, also the javascript and it is not an easy task. I suggest to hire a professional developer to do this for you as we cannot provide custom work, sorry!
Thanks!
Hi,
I would like to use the same menu style as mobile with toggle menu for ipad portrait 768px-1018px, i’ve been try to work with the CSS to find a solution but i can’t get it exactly right.
Thanks,
Glenn
I’m looking for a similar solution. My site visitors do not see that the icon is intended for searching. They can’t find the search function. Do you have a more obvious search tool or can you help me with this code? Maybe a search page I can create and link to in menu? I played with the code above, but it persists on mobile browser and interferes with the logo. The above code is not responsive. Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately the mega menu was not designed for mobile devices, sorry! It will display the category name and if you use a parent category also the subcategories will be displayed – http://screencast.com/t/ycAi79JGzek
Thanks!
Hello notpedu,
This is the default state of the theme, but you can make the top-menu appear using custom css like in this topic here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/top-bar-not-showing-on-mobile/
for example:
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-top-menu-full {
display: block !important;
}
.td-header-sp-top-menu {
display: block!important;
}
.menu-top-container {
display: none !important;
}
}
This code will provide this result: http://screencast.com/t/jxljko5scU8T
Thank you.
Hi
I can’t see topbar menu in mobile device.
How i can enable it?
Hello gagosg,
You need to add this code to the custom css tab in the theme panel:
@media (max-width: 767px) {
.td-icon-mobile:before, .td-icon-search:before{
color: black;
}
@media (max-width: 767px){
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full, .td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap, .td-header-wrap .td-header-main-menu {
background-color: #FFF !important;
}
It looks like so: http://screencast.com/t/Goaq9vat
Thank you.

Still having the issue. The errors in the console are all coming from (or trace back to) the DoubleClick ad network (Essentially AdSense). They shouldn’t be affecting mobile vs desktop tap space.
The issue is one I’ve seen before. I don’t know if it’s related to the theme but I’d imagine so since switching themes automatically fixes the problem. When using a 3rd party provider of AdSense ads there is this transparent block (320×320) that appears below ads. You can’t see it, but it covers up menus usually. This time, the header ad was covering up the first position in the block on mobiles. Added height: auto !important to the img tag in the custom css for mobiles and problem solved.
I had to do the same for the sidebar ads as well a while back. I had a grid up top for a long time which, like the menu and logo – uses a higher z-index value so the transparent block fell beneath it and wasn’t an issue.
Container limits on images in ad spaces (I only use theme provided spaces for ads) would be a smart addition to Newspaper and NewsMag (where I first noticed the problem last year). But this is resolved for me now. Thanks for looking into it, Alin.
Hello enpomedia,
It seems you have a custom CSS that sets the mobile background color to white. If you want it set to transparent just change the css that Andrei gave you: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-can-i-change-the-color-of-moblie-main-menu/ and replace the #fff color to transparent
It should look like this:
@media(max-width: 767px) {
.td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap-full, .td-header-wrap .td-header-menu-wrap, .td-header-wrap .td-header-main-menu {
background-color: #transparent !important;
}
Thank you.

Hi
I’ve checked your site on mobile device and the logo it’s between the menu button and search form: http://screencast.com/t/O7o66VC7WpE This is the original design for logo on mobile devices, we have the same design on our demo: http://screencast.com/t/AEF6shEA
If you need a different implementation you can look for a developer as unfortunately we cannot offer custom work as we work hard on the development, updates, fixes and support.
Thanks!
That is great Alin, thank you very much 🙂
There is only a slight issue now, this sort of breaks my menu on the mobile view, the image covers my top-bar as it does on Desktop but the menu itself now shows transparent but with no background image. Is this an easy fix Alin?
Many Thanks
FP
Hello
mobile menu and search be on the logo like this..
How to make them Above the Logo ? i dont want them be on the logo …
thanks
Hi fokus,
We haven’t tested cloudflare’s rocket loader with the theme but usually the rocket loader or automatic compression of js resources cause this. We don’t recommend using an autominify tool as this could generate js conflicts and break features that use js to function as in your case mobile menu and search did.
As I said we don’t recommend automatic compression of theme’s resources but you can try to debug this using browser’s console and exclude from compression those areas which cause issues.
You could also search for ways to this online or turn to a developer to customize your site in this regard.
Hope this helps!

Hi,
Theme’s page mega menu doesn’t have the same functionality on mobile menu version, on mobiles page mega menu leads to the page set as mega menu, that is the normal behavior of it.
We don’t have page mega menu available for newspaper theme demo. But you can see the same behavior on newsmag’s theme page mega menu on mobile version: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mega-page-on-mobile-menu/- http://screencast.com/t/emCO5fBuAqD
Thanks for the message!

Sub categories can not be selected.
Sliders not working.
I have tried disabling all plugins, clearing all cache, nothing helped.
I need help ASAP as we are going live in one day!
