Hello,

once again – I phrased my problem incorrectly. The featured image on the mobile theme / AMP is clickable, so has a media URL set. In the desktop version, I have it disabled everywhere, and it works as it should. But on the mobile theme, it still opens in a new tab. How can I prevent this?

Thanks,
eC

HI,

I have an issue with my membership plug inn and the Tag Div theme.
The plug inn causes the reset password link on the mobile and model pop up not to function correctly. The Plug inn developers can’t help so am reaching out to you to see Is there is a way of changing the ‘Forgot your password? Get help’ text into a link so I can send a user to a login page for reseting their password.

Many thanks
Ian

Hi Anamaria,

I didn’t phrase my issue correctly: What I’m trying is to disable the featured image media URL in the mobile theme. Is this something that can be changed on my side, or do I need to contact the AMP dev’s about it?

Thanks,
eC

But it looks like the selector is not working: div.wp-container-1.wp-block-buttons > div > a:not(#_#_#_#_#_#_#_#_) – it looks like this.

Could you please help me how can i change the css of the certain button in AMP mode please?

Hi,
Please try the settings from this guide https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/
I hope this will help you to improve the speed.
Also for the mobile version, please try to use the mobile theme plugin or the mobile page template -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Thank you!

Hi,

The mobile theme comes with its own templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
So, if you want to use the cloud templates, then you need to disable the mobile theme and AMP plugins, and then use the responsive version.
You can use cloud templates with AMP.
Also, please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ and choose what mobile version you want.

Thank you!

Hi, I’d like to avoid blurry banners like the one here at the top of the page when you open it on mobile: https://devenirbilingue.com/apprendre/anglais/application-logiciel/avis-duolingo-test/
For this one, I used a 320x100px which is (I think) a standard large mobile banner, and I thought that the theme would not resize it to show it on mobile.
What format should I create to get a nice and clear banner, and is there somewhere a list of default sizes for images and banners using Newspaper theme?
Thank you so much, it is an issue I have since a long long time and I’d be very happy to finally understand the answer!

Hello, I have installed the mobile theme, and the tagdiv shop plugin as well as AMP. I do not seem to be able to edit the way that the mobile page looks and the shop does not work – if I add an item to the basket nothing shows up in the basket nor in the checkout. If I try to create a shop not using the mobile plugin then the site is only visible on half the screen…. Help please! http://www.carolyncowan.com

Hey,

I’m using the mobile theme + official AMP plugin on my site. On Desktop, I’ve disabled modal and lightbox for the featured image of posts, so it isn’t clickable anymore and it works. But unfortunately, the featured image still opens on the mobile theme / AMP version of the site. How can I prevent that?

Thanks,
eC

Hello Laszlo!

The AMP works better only with the Mobile Theme plugin. From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP. Please read all about AMP here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-amp-plugin-tutorial/
It comes with its own templates/design for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Documentation here:

Hello @florentin!

Unfortunately, there is no option to add a shortcode in the Mobile Theme plugin. Also, there is no compatibility between this plugin and our Mobile Theme plugin.
A workaround there could be to choose not to use the mobile theme layout on that page. Note that you need to use Gutenberg and not the Classic Editor: https://prnt.sc/qYghluiEmx1i

Thank you!

I use the tagDiv Mobile theme (Newspaper theme) and I have several pages with youtube video playlists, on which I use the FV Player plugin, necessary for a non-youtube live stream (m3u8). In the desktop version, everything works as it should, but nothing is displayed on mobile, Android or IOS. With mobile theme
If I disable the Mobil theme plugin, the player also works on Android / IOS devices.Without Mobile theme
Is there a possibility to solve this situation, to continue using Mobile theme?
The website is agro-tv (“TV program” is the live stream page in the mobile menu).

Hello Anamaria
All the plugins were active before the update, after the update finished I updated the plugins as well but all the theme settings were lost including the logos, text fonts, and everything else related to the theme, it looked like the theme was just installed for the first time and not as if an update is being made, even asking me to activate the theme with the code I received in pdf at the moment when I bought the theme, all these days I have manually recovered 95% of the functions in the control panel, the only problem what I have now is that when I scroll the website, the photos give a light shadow, and I wanted to ask you for some advice on how to make the website faster, especially on mobile devices, I don’t like the tagdiv mobile theme, because through tagdiv cloud, I have added ready functions like, contact us, and they are not supported in tagdiv mobile, so how can you make the website faster and is there any cache or something that you have to hide manually left from the version of old topic, please give me a suggestion for a better optimization?

I understand that, but the problem I’m facing right now is that the mobile theme plugin somehow starts loading on the desktop.

Hello @Sikandar!

We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:

1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. Edit the page with TagDiv Composer. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB; there you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.

2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages

3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and design for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.

Hi,

I tried to shift from the standard mobile version of your newspaper theme and installed the mobile theme from the plugin section combined with AMP. But for some reason, the mobile version also takes over the desktop. Everything breaks unless I deactivate the mobile theme plugin. Is this a known issue, or is there something I am doing wrong?

Hello @diocesipn !

Check in the Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Header -> Logo & Favicon -> Text Logo, text logo tagline.
Are you using the Mobile theme plugin? For Mobile Theme plugin, you can change the logo from Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile theme -> Header and the copyright text in footer -> subfooter.
You can adjust the logo differently in the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB, so then it will fit there.

Hi sanjeevkk,
“Regular pages – The content of custom pages (ex. Contact Us page), present on the main theme, doesn’t appear on the Mobile theme, because the last one comes with it’s own editor and the possibility to add content that’s specially designed for mobiles. “
For more details please check our guide for mobile theme plugin -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ -> https://i.imgur.com/DoITyMe.png

Hello,

Yes, you can assign the mobile theme after you finish him. Please check if you have set the mobile template to no mobile https://i.imgur.com/WD0w6gf.png and assign the mobile template when you finish designing it.

Thank you!

Hello,

You can disable the back to the top from Theme Panel -> Template Settings -> ToTop button => https://www.screencast.com/t/JVYklvqk (if you have the mobile page or mobile resposive)
Also, for the mobile theme plugin, you can only hide using a Custom Code CSS
.td-scroll-up
{
display: none;
}

Set the code in Newspaper -> Theme panel -> Mobile Theme -> Custom code.

Thank you!

Hi,
I see that this is from the iframe code, the only thing that I ca do to help is this custom css:
.embed-container {
height: 600px;
}
.embed-container iframe, .wpb_video_wrapper{
height: 600px!important;
}

Please set this code in the theme panel > custom code> advance css > phone section and will be apply only on mobile.
I hope this will help you!

Hello @miccmalta !

AMP is loading there and it is broken. In order to disable this option “Exit mobile version”, you need to disable this setting: https://i.imgur.com/LxpDtB2.png
