first
Warming require_once/Lib/wp_content/themes/Newspaper/include/wp_booster/td_social_icons.php) failed to open stream. no such file or directory in /home/public_html/Lib/wp_content/theme/Newspaper/include/wp_booster/td_wp_booster/functions.php on line 41

Second error
Fatal Error require_once/Lib/wp_content/themes/Newspaper/include/wp_booster/td_social_icons.php) failed opening required ‘td_social_icons.php’ (include_path=’.:opt/php70/lib/php) . in /home/public_html/Lib/wp_content/theme/Newspaper/include/wp_booster/td_wp_booster/functions.php on line 41

If I change the theme, this function works fine. So I think it’s a problem caused by the mobile version of NewsPaper…

Hi,

I’ve created a page for authors.
Listed there about 35. When click on the author for see their profile, and his/her articles — it will go to the homepage instead on them public profilepage.

It is started on mobile version ( tagdiv-mobile-them ) But now the desktop verzion as well.

I switch off all plugins, cleared all caches, even restarted server.

I made authors page with tagdivs composer, another try I made with visual composer ( wp backery), and on mobile page a bi bunch of html code ( DIV+TABLE, TDS.. )
But non of them works… the profile links shows on my monitor bottom-left corner to the correct profile URL – but it will jump to homepage… WHY?

See it: https://1000wordsmagazine.com/szerzoink/
Check from desktop, mobile phone.

I was even look throughout database with phpmyadmin, if there is any user profile links missmatches.. but nothing wrong there..

And as I wrote above , if I switch off all the plugins – it is the same –

plus:
Would be great if mobile theme supports the same things created in the composer… just minimised.. Why have to deal with messy html things?

Thanak you, Zoltan

Pls, give me solution asap.. my authors bite my head…

I read in the forum somewhere about userpro, I bought it – but the same results, so for me useless.

Hello arolson87,

You should check the td_block_ad_box_mob.php file if you want to make some changes to the spot ads on mobile theme. Itțs not a simple task and if you are not aware of the steps, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you because we cannot provide custom services at the moment, sorry!

Thanks for the message!

The second picture on mobile devices is a very wide picture. How it is supposed to show a square picture. Sorry but this is not a bug. it is common sense that a square picture will not show all content on a very wide thumbnails. Our theme crops images center top like mentioned here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image/
The big grid slide was never tested on a stretched row. Please use revolution slider if you need a full width slider.

Thank you!

Hello,
i have one problem with the pictures from the Big Grid Slide 1 on mobile.
I noticed that second picture (feature image from post) are cropped not in the right way (only the top part is displayed) on desktop is much smaller comparing the height with the first one.

I looks like a bug because first, third and forth pictures on mobile are cropped correctly, second one is not.

The website is: https://www.arhitectgabrielgeorgescu.ro

Here are some print screens:

Hello Catalin, and thanks for replying.
As you might know, most web traffic is done by smart phones now. According to Google Analytics, 92% of our readers are on mobile.
The mobile theme is essential. The responsive Newspaper version (without mobile theme plugin) is too slow on phones, and get a 16% falloff due to page download time.
Yet, it seems you put ALL your work and effort into developing new items for the big screen version of Newspaper. Why don’t you prioritize the mobile version when the largest amount of traffic by far is on mobile?
The mobile theme works great, but it would be nice with some more features (e.g. 2-coloumn possibility?). At least, you should make sure the mobile theme is on top and work properly. Turning it off is not an option for a huge traffic site.
I would love to hear your thoughts.

Hi,

If you used a page builder to create the content in the page, this will not be displayed when using the mobile theme plugin. Content for mobile theme pages has to be entered in the mobile editor
https://www.screencast.com/t/NG6fmy2O
If you want to display the same exact content as on desktop, you could deactivate the mobile theme plugin. This is not a required plugin. More information about it here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thanks

Hello,

This is because you use the mobile theme plugin. The mobile theme requires you to create separate pages using the mobile editor. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you!

Unfortunately no, because the mobile theme plugin will not render the page builder short codes. Using the mobile theme will result in not being able to use the page builder on mobile pages.

Hello E_Normus,

Sorry, the theme does not have any such an option for this! If you want to use another layout for mobile, you can try using the Mobile Theme, according to our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Hello veeru1saini,

Unfortunately, the theme does not have any such an option that allows you change the mobile theme style from the panel, sorry! If you want to change them, notice that you should do it yourself with a bit of CSS code. As a hint, you should check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/ to familiarize with the inspector browser and then, try to add your own custom CSS to make your desired changes.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hello,
the disappearing sidebars issue is a well known WordPress issue and has no tie to the actual theme update. IF you copied the theme next to the old one, you will have no sidebars. Your own sidebars will still be in the old theme version. THat is why it is not recommended to have 2 versions of the theme installed separately.
You should replace the theme files, not copy them net to each other.
Another reason for disappearing widgets is the sidebar names. If you use special characters in the sidebar names, then on the first major change such as a theme change or update, wordpress will strip the sidebars.
For the moment there is a problem between the mobile theme and the multi purpose plugin so we will release a fix as soon as possible.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no setting to change the number of modules in the top mobile grid, when using the mobile theme. This will display 3 of the featured posts. If you would like to display two posts, you could make the modification in the mobile theme plugin grid
https://www.screencast.com/t/jhCtZycNV4ZY
The height of the modules could be changed with a code like this if needed
https://www.screencast.com/t/3R1DrBrlrQ

.td_module_mob_2 .td-module-thumb {
height: 250px;
}

This code must be entered in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS section. Experiment with different height values until you achieve the desired result.

Thanks

Hi,

The issue with the mobile theme is currently being investigated. A solution will be provided as soon as possible. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Regarding the other issue, maybe the theme did not update properly. The most recommended method of updating is by FTP

Hi,

For the loading issues please check the theme system status parameters
https://forum.tagdiv.com/system-status-parameters-guide/
Make modifications if needed, or ask your hosting provider to make them for you according to the guide. Then check if everything works as intended.
If you use the mobile theme, this will not display the same content for pages, as on desktop. Maybe the plugin you are using provides a shortcode that you can use on mobile pages, in the mobile editor
https://www.screencast.com/t/nLgATZOIVobt
If that is not the case, then you could simply deactivate the mobile theme plugin. This plugin is optional, nor required. Then the same content form desktop will be shown.

Thanks

Hi,

The mobile theme is intended to provide a lighter version of the website on mobile. This plugin is optional, you can choose not to use it. It can either be active or inactive.
Please note that in the latest update an option to hide elements or rows has been added. So for example, if you have a page that you consider to be heavy for mobile, you could hide the rows/ elements you want on mobile
https://www.screencast.com/t/QQnDWox7
https://www.screencast.com/t/7T3gnWCPzFP
This could be a possible solution in this case.

Thanks

Hi,

@Daria
The mobile theme will not work if the mobile theme plugin is not active. If it is active a different and simpler version of the website will be displayed. You can find out more about how the mobile theme plugin works here
https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
This plugin is not required, you can choose not to activate it.
