Hi,
When the mobile theme plugin is active, it will display a predefined template for the front page. There are no options at the moment to add a new page template or remove the default Top grid and Related articles section.
Content for pages on mobile is limited to the mobile editor that appears in the page edit screen, when the mobile plugin is active
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
You could manually remove these sections from the theme files by commenting or removing these elements from the front page, if that is what you want
– https://www.screencast.com/t/yLgwSvmuoMB8
Or maybe hide them with CSS
– https://www.screencast.com/t/KubcQaddK
Thanks
Hi,
If the user specifically request a desktop version and maybe the browser has this option, it will display that
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Gp7rvPYZyPK
– https://www.screencast.com/t/tTJt7Th1NC
There is no specific setting in the mobile theme that would allow a similar option.
Thanks
Hi,
I believe the mobile version is displayed between 0 – 767px, that is considered phone screen area size. On devices of higher screen sizes it should not be displayed. If you have tested and it is displaying, then something is not working properly.
Please try to deactivate and remove the current mobile plugin, and install the latest version from the theme package if you did not do it already.
Thanks
different question bogdan. forget the tablet issue for a moment. what i am asking is whether the mobile version can give the user the option to view the full desktop site – this is a fairly commonplace feature on mobile specific themes.
thanks for the reply simion
can i ask whether the screenshots are taken from an emulator or an actual tablet, and if a tablet what os was it using?
i have tried it on two different android versions, and an older ios, from 10″ to 7″, all showing the mobile theme.
i actually turned all caching off. removed every plug in that was doing any ‘speed’ or ‘optimisation job on my website. not just for this, but in several areas of development there was a nagging doubt caching could be the problem. i even followed steps to check for cache left overs (and actually found w3 traces from ages ago before i moved to super on theme advice). having removed all of that, and being 100% cache free, i turned off cloudflare and purged everything.
so one thing i can be pretty sure of is cache is not behind the issue.
i have started turning one or two optimisation bits on again. cautiously, checking everything each time an option is flicked.
it has been a useful exercise. a few upgrade issues have resolved themselves, though that may be more to do with your recommendation of switching to php 5.6. than the absence of caching – but having caching out of the way for a development month still seems to make sense.
there are just two issues that remain, and have remained throughout, this tablet displaying mobile theme, and corruption caused by full width blocks (that one i can live with for now)
what is the methodology of the mobile theme in what it serves itself to? is it screen size, resolution, some trigger in the device that says ‘i am a tablet or i am a phone’? might help narrow it down if i can get some more examples.
Hi, My website is https://keepmestylish.com/
The site looks good on desktop. However, on mobile devices, there are severe formatting issues. Most of the time, the theme is not rendering properly. Can you let me know the possible cause for this?
Hello josflachs,
You should set up your main menu for Mobile Theme from Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/P2Ukxk8E Clear all the caches and check the results.
Thanks.
Hi,
I do not see that happening on your website at the moment. The mobile version will only be displayed for phones
– https://www.screencast.com/t/jql4KhNm5N
– https://www.screencast.com/t/7buBuoEb97D
If you are still experiencing this issue, then something is interfering with the theme and causes this problem. That is not the normal theme behavior. It could be a caching issue, in some cases this will affect the mobile theme.
Thanks
Hi,
Content for pages when using the mobile theme plugin, is limited to the mobile editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/CgYseBYvafj
This section appears in the page edit screen when the mobile theme is active.
For performance factors and speed, the mobile theme will not display composer elements and shortcodes. That may be why the pages are empty.
Please note that the mobile plugin is optional, if you want the same content from desktop to display on mobile devices simply deactivate it. The theme is fully responsive and will adapt to all devices.
Here you can find more information about the mobile theme
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Thanks
Hello,
The tablets will not show the mobile theme on tablets. I;m not sure why this happens on your end. It could be the wp super cache plugin:
Please use this guide to properly set wp super cache: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/
Also wp super cache has a flaw in it;s code that should be corrected.
https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/pull/185/files
Edit wp-cache-phase1.php and add the green code from the right column as it shows in the provided link.
Let us know if you still have trouble with wp super cache.
You can try to disable the mobile theme plugin if you use it and test to see if you still have this issue.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please deactivate the mobile theme of jetpack.
Thanks.
is it possible to add the option in mobile theme ‘go to desktop site’?
i quite like this idea and it solves a lot of the ‘what to include in mobile’ questions. particularly relevant to me as we don’t seem to be able to solve why my mobile theme is displaying on mobile and tablet (when tablet should be the full desktop theme)
Hi there,
My mobile theme Homepage has broken down suddenly, I can´t guess what could have caused it. It looks as an Html page, without any format. The rest of the website is properly working and showing the mobile them correctly.
Thanks.
Thanks. That worked 🙂
Another question. I just installed the mobile theme plugin, and some of the sites do not show. I use a membership plugin and that page is completely empty on the mobile version now. I’m using a child theme if that makes any difference.
What could be going on?
I totally understand your comment on this and I will look forward having an inbuilt feature for this in our themes.
Everyone wants to get extra traffic to their site and for any news/magazine site whose main source of revenue is based on RPM, it’s very much needed.
TagDiv is the best and the most popular news/magazine theme still available in the market but with this sudden surge in ‘mobile first’ users and with the inception of new features like ‘infinite scrolling’ etc., I believe your dev team must need to review their priorities.
Love for Tagdiv.
Regards,
Nitesh
Hi, the ad spot you spotted comes after paragraph-1 and inserted using an ad plugin temporarily since article top ad wasn’t working.
Yes, I checked different ad codes for the article-top but nothing appears to be working. I am realizing this very recently. Can you spot if the ‘Article Top spot’ is being executed on the page or not? ( No matter if it displays ad or not)
All the other ad positions are working and I am not using ‘Mobile theme plugin’
Hi,
If you are not using the mobile theme, that the same content that you have on desktop, will be displayed on mobile. The theme will adapt to all the screen sizes, due to the responsive feature.
The category tags will be displayed on all the modules, if they are each enabled in the theme panel here
– https://www.screencast.com/t/ltOqpaWpnML
If you have a different problem, please provide a link to your website and we will inspect it.
Thanks
Hello,
Sorry but we have not tested such ads in our mobile theme. This represents customization and it is not covered by the theme support. We suggest hiring a freelancer if you need help implementing specific ads other than the options already provided in the theme panel.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello bloggingindian,
Please keep in mind that mobile plugin will come bundled with the theme core files and you can install it or do not if you will not. Try to make a new clean install from scratch via FTP way according to our documentation. This plugin has been fully tested with the theme and should work as expected.
Thanks for your understanding!
Hello Ramin Davi,
I have inspected your website and I saw that you have some problems with your mobile menu, sorry! First of all, please try to disable all of your untested plugins which might interact with the theme core files and causes a lot of unknown issues. Remove all of them, leave just to active only the plugins which come bundled with our theme, clear all the caches, purge CDN files if you are using the CDN system and check the results. All the setting regarding on mobile background can be found in Theme panel, like this -> https://www.screencast.com/t/SReeYrPvmzBw
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi,
You cannot add more page templates in the mobile theme. The front page will always display the top grid with your featured posts, and the latest articles section at the bottom. The category pages and post pages will display their own template, regardless of what is selected on desktop. Inserting content for pages is limited to the mobile editor, that appears in the page edit screen, when the mobile theme is activated.
The mobile theme is designed to be as light as possible with performance in mind. However, more customization options may be added to it in future updates.
Thanks
Hi,
You could try the solution from this topic and modify the theme file as shown
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-set-offset-post-for-latest-post-module-on-mobile-theme-plugin/
Thanks
Kindly try to open ‘Voice Report’ demo page on mobile devices. Don’t know why but it leaves a small gap between header and homepage content.

Kindly help me this extra gap. Not sure why it was actually left there even on the default design.
THank you,
Somosung,
thanks! I hadn’t knew these configurations into theme panel. My mobile menu has the same colors as the website’s color palette now.
However, the close button still not showing up. Would you know anything about it?
Regards!

Hello Ramon. You have to edit that from your panel. Go to “theme options” and then press “The Colors” and go to “Mobile Menu / Mobile Search”.
