this is the error

td_api_base::mark_used_on_page : a component with the ID: td_remote_cache is not set.
/home/fanatico/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_api.php

wp booster error:
Missing parameter: ‘file’
/home/fanatico/public_html/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/includes/wp_booster/td_autoload_classes.php

I repeat I am not a Professional, I don´t know how to do the ftp way

Hi,

Yes, it is lighter but there is also a revers for this. Like I said above there are not so many options, it comes with predefined homepage, it doesn’t have custom ad spots and so on..
Unfortunately if you want to have more ads in the post content and you want to use the mobile theme plugin you will need to paste the ad code directly in the Visual Editor as the shortcode will not work, sorry!

Thanks!

Hey guys,

Can’t find answer to this anywhere so i will try my luck here.

I just set up everything today and noticed that when i use another browser to access my website, sometime it shows mobile theme on my desktop access. It doesn’t always happen, but quite often.

It works fine for my homepage, but for my post it happens a lot and quite often.

I have tried turning off set header expiry on my w3tc but it doesn’t seem to work. Is there anyway to fix this?

Hi,

Using the theme package that it is available on themeforest should not be any issues with the Mobile Theme plugin as we have fixed those problems.
There is only a css issue with the article author, but it can be fixed using this custom css – https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-errors-since-7-3/
In the next theme version we will solve also this css problem, sorry for inconvenience!

Thanks!

HI

Try this css in theme panel > mobile theme > custom code: http://screencast.com/t/mxWc1GBaf

.td-classic-sharing li {
display: inline-block;
height: 20px;
margin-left: 0;
}
.td-post-sharing-top{
display: none;
}

This code will correct the button’s style and will hide top like and tweet bottoms.
Thanks!

Hello Alin!

Yes, we are using mobile theme, and i can understand your concern about mobile theme….but as you said mobile theme is lighter so it is a must for us to load fast since 80% traffic from mobile….

Next problem, is there any way that we can add more ad spots in mobile them or are you going to add few in next update…??

In this case we need to add adsense code manually to the posts to show both on mobile as well as on desktop…??

If there is any other way out please advice..?

Hi,

Do you use the mobile theme plugin? In this case it will not render the custom ad in post content.
Try to disable the mobile theme plugin and see if it appears. To have the same content also on mobile devices like on desktop you will need to disable the mobile theme plugin which is optional and it comes with its own templates, ads..
The Mobile Theme plugin is practically a lighter theme without so many options also it was no designed for Visual Composer pagebuilder and also it may not render shortcodes.

Thanks!

Hello nano2408,

Please notice that the mobile theme has been specially created for to be more fast and clear. Please keep in mind that the desktop version can not reach the speed of mobile as it is loaded much more items compared to the mobile version and also, it is more complex that mobile version. Anyway, the theme is to a constant changing and we will always make changes and improvements for better results. Also, if you want to increase the page speed loading for your desktop, you should try to read our documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/ Please notice that this tutorial are addressed to the advanced users and if you are not aware of the steps in this regard, please consider hiring a freelancer/developer to help you.

Thanks.

Salut Bogdan,

Soluția indicată acolo a funcționat! Mulțumesc!

Încă 2 întrebări:

  1. Cum funcționează Mobile Theme Plugin, acum se poate vedea că autorul nu apare în articole. Exemplu: http://www.screencast.com/t/yf6JrhyHP1A .Ce se poate face?
  2. Cum pot menționa la a doua sursă „Sursa 2”, că acum îmi apare de două ori „Sursa”. Mă interesează doar în td_module_single_base să fac schimbarea, nu și în „post settings”.

Mulțumesc!

Thank you Bogdan.

After thinking a lot , now I think I have to deactivate this mobile plugin till the next version updates. Is there any suggestions from you for HOMEPAGE OPTIMISATION on desktop version so that it can produce almost equivalent ( to the mobile theme) speed and optimization when being seen on mobiles? Like what are the things I should take care of.

Regards.

Hi,
We will add more options to the mobile theme. We are working on it.
Thank you for your patience.

Hi,

The mobile theme dopes indeed convert the smart lists to a single predefined one just as it converts the post templates to a single predefined one and the homepage to a predefined one. THi sis the impklementation the developers made. it is all presented here in this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The smart list on mobile is not smartlist 7 but rather “mobile smart list 1” as you can see in the code: http://screencast.com/t/xRmQ7zS2Cp
It is a new smartlist created specially for the mobile theme. We do plan on adding more options to the mobile theme. It is still in it;s version 1.0 We are still gathering info about what users need on their mobile theme so it will require a bit of patience and we will implement more options to it in the future.
If for some reason you do not like the mobile theme plugin, you can simply deactivate it and use the standard responsive version of the theme. Our theme is already responsive without the mobile theme.
The mobile theme was created as an alternative to the responsive version.

Thank you!

Best way is to select “text only” ads for mobile. iOS will block Flash ads; some ads simply don’t load (timeout). You can also set a fall back local “house ad” for your site in the AdSense settings when you create an ad unit.

Put another way; the theme has nothing to do with what ads are shown/not shown; it is simply setting up the ad spot to load your AdSense code — the ads are served by Google, not the theme.

Also be aware you can usually put the Google AdSense code into a simple text widget and it should work just fine; we do this on one site not using TagDiv themes, where there no ad boxes, and we just needed ONE simple ad unit.

Hope that provides some food for thought 🙂

Salut,

  2. Am inclus acest punct în comentariul anterior
  3. Am înțeles. Mulțumesc!
  4. Mersi!

I agree with you Gossiponthis.

This update should be on high priority. There should be at least 2 or three smart lists options on mobile theme. and the default should be either SMART LIST-1 or 2 on the user’s point of view.

I know TagDiv always listens to us.. and I am waiting for their next Mobile theme version update.

Thank you.

Hey,
First I thought it’s a bug on my mobile but I re-checked everything but still noticed the most hated smart list-7 on my mobile theme for any kind of smart lists I have on my website.

Then I started reading threads here for the solution and then discovered this harsh truth that Mobile theme uses SMART LIST-7 as the default and only option. Really???

We all want the mobile theme to be speedy and easy to browse for all our mobile visitors but then SMART LIST-7 is the slowest and the most irritating list option available ever. This is the same option used by many SPAMMY websites to increase the page views on their website. But on users point of view SMART LIST-7 is the best and then SMART LIST-2 is traditional yet elegant and most popular ways to show listicles.

I am still unsure, how on this earth, your amazing team decided to use just only one option for the smart list on mobile theme and that STYLE-7, it just kills the speedy experience of using mobile theme.

Tell me if you don’t agree ?

Now what’s the option I have… other than to switch off this amazing mobile theme? How can I use STYLE-1 or STYLE-2 on mobile ?

Should I wait for the next update because dozens of threads are demanding for the same thing which I am asking for here.

Please try to provide the solution. Thank you!

Sorry I am dumb, just needed to disable the plugin.

But now, the menu in the mobile version seems to be the same as the Mobile Theme, the purple translucent color with the sign in option and social network icons. Any way to revert that as well?

Hello,

I just updgraded from Newspaper 6 to 7, and the mobile version of my site is now using the Mobile Theme, which is a good idea but I don’t want to use it just yet, there are a few issues like author’s name not rendering properly, also I would need some time to setup my ads in the Mobile Theme and I want to go live now with version 7. Any way to disable Mobile Theme and just go with the regular theme on mobile?

Thanks

Alex

Hi

1. Replace the code from single.php with this one: http://screencast.com/t/IADTpxVgJRhttp://pastebin.com/PD6hNLns
2. Replace the code from td_module_single_mob.php with this one: http://screencast.com/t/9KgpykWNC -http://pastebin.com/218Ggk5w
3. Mobile theme does not have support for modal images and you will need some customization in theme’s core files to achieve the desired result. We can’t offer customization services at the moment so if you really need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.

Thanks!

Hi,

Well the mobile theme was built for people who require speed above all else so if you want to have all of the desktop features on mobile, simply disable the mobile theme and you can use the standard responsive version of the theme

Thank you!

Hi,

First of all, please keep in mind that your bumps do not help you because when you write on your topic this one will become a newer topic and this will be in the front of our list. Sorry for the late answer but we answer from oldest to newest. If you post a reply again your post will refresh and move to the newer ones.

If you want to display the featured image only for mobile view for your post pages you will have to use the code below and place it in Theme panel->Custom CSS area.

@media (min-width:767px){
.td-post-featured-image{
display:none;
}
}

I have inspected your website and I think that you have disable the featured image from your panel, right? So, you will have to enable it and try the above code.

Thanks for your understanding!

Hi

Sorry for the delay, we don’t work on weekends!
I’ve checked your site and noticed that you’re using mobile theme plugin. Please check this link for more details about how mobile theme works: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ If you want the same content on both mobile and desktop devices just deactivate mobile theme plugin as the main theme have its own responsiveness.

Hope this helps!
Thanks!

Dear Support!

I installed the mobil theme the which if fantastic, but i have several problem with it.

1: The share buttons are not at that position as desktop’s buttons, under the post title, author, date… you can see on the picture.

https://s26.postimg.io/i58se7247/14256609_1084934261562574_954591262_n.jpg

2: Facebook like and tweet button are disappeared

https://s26.postimg.io/sgl56uttj/14281544_1084934248229242_770313790_n.jpg

3: And finally i would like to ask you how can I solve that: if someone click on the picture it open in a new window, but i wouldn’t like it, i would like to appear as in the desktop version, like:

Thank you for your answer!

Hello,
Hi,

Unfortunately opera mini has too many limitations for us to be able to fix anything for it. It is a stripped down version of a browser that is useful if you have slow internet connections or expensive mobile data packages. We understand the frustration caused by this but it is very hard to fix these issues. We would have to create a new theme for opera mini alone and remove any elements that are not supported by the browser. Sorry for the inconvenience but we do not recommend the use of our theme with opera mini as well as opera classic or internet explorer 8 or lower. Our theme has many complex elements and these browsers do not have the needed features to support them. Thank you for your understanding.
As for the “veil” I think you are referring to the image gradient that is added on grids so you can see the post title. It is a black gradient though as a shadow in the bottom part of the image. Not sure what the White veil is. I also checked your posts and they seem to work properly. Please provide more details to what this veil is and what area of the site does not work properly as I cannot find any issue at the moment.

Thank you!
