Hi Team,
I feel that earning from google adsense has dropped after upgrading to 8.7.
Theme dosent show the “Matched Content” properly when accessed from mobile.
Is this reported or felt by anyone else?
Thanks,
Avinash
I managed to resolve the issue myself. I have another question how I reduce the padding at the title on mobile only
Thanks. I’ve tried changing the default block header style but doesn’t affect the related posts header, but no big deal.
So there’s no easy way to set a default placeholder image for posts with no featured image? I can see an image from /wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/no-thumb/thumbnail.png on mobile but it just appears white on desktop. Could I edit that image?
And one final question, how could I reduce the height of the space above and below the header logo on header style 9? I found the link below for header style 7, can this be adapted?

Thanks for the response Simion. I actually wanted to try and change the social media buttons on the toolbar. Is that possible?
Also, I’m having another problem with the social buttons on my mobile menu. After I disabled TagDig Mobile Theme plugin, I only see the Facebook logo and no other social media buttons. Do you know how to fix that? Thanks.
But this method does not work for td AMP and TD Mobile or speed-booster
AND last but not least, it is IMPOSSIBLE to work with a child theme that requires td-composer (it does not recognize the plugins after being uploaded the child theme and activated it).
SO WHAT IS TO DO please ? (I obviously want to work with a child theme).
Hi,
The mobile view does not have a drop-down button at the bottom right. (Scroll Up Button)
How can I add it.
Happy if you help. Thanks.
Thanks Simion – the logo looks blurry – http://prntscr.com/ilwq92 we are using a size of used the 140px or 190 px but it still is blurry – what size do you recommend so it looks okay on the AMP as well the mobile site.
thanks
Hi
Thanks for the response.
I have checked and the shortcodes are in the main section not the mobile editor. I even deactivated and deleted the mobile theme plugin and uploaded it again; the short codes still show up in mobile view.
My homepage is the ‘NEWS’ page as I preferred that layout; could this be a factor? Must I only use one of the pages marked homepage as a homepage?
I have looked in the mobile editor section in the theme panel, and there is nothing I can see there that looks out of place. I don’t understand why these shortcodes are appearing in my mobile theme.
Hello guys,
our website 24ora.com works completely fine on desktop .. but we are having a lot of issues with mobile.
For example:
– Slider is not working correctly
– menu & search button is not clickable
– We are also having some ads issues.
We have updated to the latest version 8.7.2 but it didn’t help. We also tried the mobile theme and still the menu button or search button is not clickable
Hello,
In the current version, our theme has a newsletter plugin of it’s own. Please read this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-newsletter-plugin/
As for the tablet, it depends on it;s size. If it;s bigger than 767px, then it will grab the tablet version (similar to desktop) otherwise you will only see the mobile version of a site.
Our theme does not have an option to switch to the desktop version on mobile sand vice-versa.
Thanks.
Dear Simion,
everything is fine now. Only two probelms I have: for newsletter I use the plugin from mailster for a longer time. I cannot subscribe the nesletter by mobile (mobile phone and tablet). The same by my ecommerce plugin of Imagely.
And is it possile to switch from mobile to desctop by using a tablet?
Thanks for your help.
Hi,
Where exactly are you removing the shortcodes from? The mobile theme will not render page builder shortcodes, so please make sure you are not inserting them in the mobile editor
– https://www.screencast.com/t/Xh3EyQXhb4
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
The actual desktop page will not be displayed by the mobile theme plugin, so those shortcodes would only appear if you inserted them in the mobile editor section. Let us know what you find.
Hi,
The smart sidebar will work as long as you create it properly on pages. See bottom section of the guide
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-sidebar-2/
The mobile top grid will display featured posts
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-posts-2/
The following section will display latest posts. So if you include the latest posts in the featured category as well, they will be displayed in both sections.
For me the website on mobile is very fast regardless of the page speed score, under 2 seconds even
– https://www.screencast.com/t/J1JWRgFLJA
Testing the website in Google tool provides mixed results from what I can see
– https://www.screencast.com/t/yaFJWB76ZyP
– https://www.screencast.com/t/zNZYijNwiKI
Hi,
The mobile heme plugin is optional, you can choose not to install. There seems to be a problem with the slider on your website, it is not functioning properly, and there are errors in the page
– https://www.screencast.com/t/U8PP4UBgEL8O
The slider works fine on mobile as it can be seen in the live theme demo which uses theme version 8.7
– https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/ios-slider/
So the issue could be caused by a plugin you have installed conflicting with the theme (since the menu and search functions are also not working on your website) or maybe code you entered in theme panel sections or theme files. Please check if that is the case and let us know. Deactivate all plugins except theme plugins, temporarily remove custom code and theme modifications.
Thanks
Hi,
1. The same menu from desktop will be displayed on mobile, you can use a different mobile menu only when the mobile theme plugin is activated
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Or maybe hide the menu item on desktop like mentioned in this topic, if you should consider this a solution
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/newspaper-top-bar-for-mobile/
2. You could try the solution for this topic to hide the social in the mobile menu
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/how-to-hidechange-mobile-menu-ikon/
Thanks
Hello thank you for the reply. How about the div inside the div tag like this. Please check this. <div class=”someclass”>Test the Mobile editor<div style=”display: inline;”> in mobile</div></div> . The text “Test the mobile editor” gets a p tag automatically when switching from the text to visual tab in the editor.
Use a code like this to customize the article titles in the mobile grid
– https://www.screencast.com/t/EjRTLdi7
.td_block_big_grid_mob_1 .td_module_mob_2 .entry-title {
}
Enter the CSS code you want, it will affect only the grid. This code can be entered in Theme panel->Mobile theme->Custom CSS section.
Just recently bought, installed and set up the Newspaper theme. I have set up my newspaper site including the mobile theme for the site. Everything seems to be working fine, except the mobile version. There is a section of code that is appearing below the 3 featured articles in the mobile version. I can’t figure out how to get rid of this code for the mobile version.
When I remove the code by editing the page, it fixes the problem on mobile but it removes the featured article grid on the desktop version.
Please have a look at on mobile at vanniekaap.com
Any help greatly appreciated
Hi,
I have tested like this in the mobile editor page section
– https://www.screencast.com/t/VsawlWiSwOp
– https://www.screencast.com/t/UwUP0xmJl
So there is no paragraph tag replacing the div I manually entered.
Regarding the plugin form, if you want those fields hidden maybe there is a setting in the plugin for that. It seems that is how the form is supposed to display, since it even has CSS for the paragraph it adds
– https://www.screencast.com/t/QjpmcBofiJ
Thanks
If you use the mobile plugin, you have to create pages for the mobile theme to show since it will not show those on the desktop or those made with page builder. Just open both pages in the page editor and scroll to the very bottom and you will see a mobile editor where you can make the changes (either copy and paste the content in the page editor to mobile editor if it is HTML, or create the pages afresh in HTML if you built them with page builder). You can also disable the mobile plugin because the theme is responsive and your pages will show on mobile devices.
My main mobile menu works for everything but the About and Disclosure, which are I tested as both pages and custom links. The footer mobile menu does not allow either to work, as well. However, “home” which is also a page, does work.
In both cases when I click on About, it brings up a page that says “about” and that’s it. It’s the same type of thing for disclosure, too.
These work on the desktop.
However, when I look at the posts section of the dashboard (while mobile editing – I don’t usually mobile edit but I’m trying to solve this frustrating issue) and I click on “preview” THE SAME EXACT ISSUE happens, where it will say either About or Disclosure, respectively.
Now, I’ve spent hours reading about this and I have tried deactivating plug-in and etc. Nothing to this point has worked.
Please advise.
we don´t use cdn.
Another thing, in the mobile theme “top grid” is the same articles than “latest articles” help please
Hello sir my Page Score for mobile is 75 out of 100 in Google Page Speed Tool But after using Mobile Theme it goes down to 45 please help me I want high page score for mobile. My website URL is https://www.tricksbykabir.com
Since updating last night, which by the way I REALLY despise the new TagDiv Composer “Have to Change”. It has done nothing but cause be headaches. I cannot use Tabs and now my responsive site is unresponsive. The slider, the second one since the top one only has one article, does not work. This is since the update to 8.7.
I DO NOT WANT TO USE TAGDIV MOBILE TEMPLATE. I want your stuff to work as should a responsive site and not you telling me the page info I should use because YOU want to make it faster.
