Hello, I love the theme and know that it will greatly help our site.
I have a couple of questions however.
One.
I am trying to change the block quote but it won’t let me through custom css. I got it to change a little bit but for some reason I can’t seem to get it to do anything else such as position and location. Here is the code I am using:
blockquote {
font-family: Times;
font-size: 16px;
font-style: normal;
width: 100%;
line-height: .5;
position: left;
color: #000000;
border-left:1px dashed #c1c1c1;
border-right:1px dashed #c1c1c1;
border-top:1px dashed #c1c1c1;
border-bottom:1px dashed #c1c1c1;
background:#e8e8e8;
margin-top: 3px;
margin-left: 3px;
margin-right: 3px;
margin-bottom: 3px;
}
blockquote cite {
color: #000000;
font-size: 16px;
display: block;
margin-top: 5px;
}
blockquote cite:before {
content: “\2014 \2009”;
}

How can I load shortcodes using the mobile theme?
The login page doesn’t load anything, nor does the sign up or check out page, profile, page, none of it.
I need those pages to work because we have viewers that purchase memberships to our site.
Thank you for your help!
The theme so far is amazing and each update you guys do brings more awesomeness!
Hello taddeo,
The author will need a bit of a CSS fix as the CSS got changed a bit in the new update but the author name was not updated for it. So until the next theme version please use this CSS code in the mobile theme’s custom code box:
.td-post-author-name div { display:inline; }
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Hello
Two questions about the mobile theme please:
1. Can we control the design of the “related articles” at the bottom underneath the article?
2. It seems like the custom CSS code we enter in the theme panel under “WRITE YOUR OWN CSS HERE” in the mobile section, does not work.
Where would be the best place to hard-code in-line styles and Javascript codes for the mobile view of the theme?
Thanks for the update, glad to hear you guys plan on making updates to the post, homepage and smart templates.
Our responsive mobile site was slow, clunky, cluttered and FULL of those nasty ads that redirect you off the page and sends you to the app store, Google Play store or some weird, unobscure blank page. The mobile theme takes care of ALL of that, so overall, I’m happy, and our readers are happy that they can finally view our content on smartphones 🙂
Thanks again, and looking forward to the updates. Keep up the great work!

Hi,
I found out that I could significantly boost my adsense earnings by changing the order my adsense code loads via the html code, however, I have my adsense codes inserted via the Newspaper theme panel. As in, for each location I want the code to appear, I have a different code like for the mobile header, mobile article inline, mobile article bottom etc. My most popular location is the Mobile article bottom slot, so I want the adsense code to load that ad first. I don’t know how to do this, can someone please show me? I’d also like to change the loading order for the desktop format as well, so that the article bottom ad loads first in the html order. Thank you!
Hello,
When I open any post on your site from a mobile device, the subscription widget is not available: http://screencast.com/t/9dbdIjJ3s
If you want to remove the underline of the widget title, you can use this code:
.jetpack_subscription_widget .widgettitle::after{
display:none;
}
Thank you!
Hello,
There seems to be an issue with wp super cache and the latest version of WP. Please follow this topic for a quick fix until they update the plugin: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-does-not-work-properly/
Thank you!
Hello,
Thank you for your appreciation. Customer feedback is very important to us. You can also rate us if you want from this link 🙂 https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/reviews/5489609
To the matter at hand, we do plan on implementing further options into the mobile theme. For the moment it;s only version 1.0 and we launched it to see if it grows in popularity and if users like it so we can asses if we will spend time and effort into improving it and adding more options to it. The mobile theme is a success and we will add updates to it and implement more options in future updates. But for the moment the there is only 1 smart list style and 1 post template and one homepage template. It’s limited, I know, but we plan on updating and providing more options in the future.
Thank you for your understanding.
Hello,
1) Please follow this guide to set up your facebook counter properly: https://forum.tagdiv.com/tagdiv-social-counter-tutorial-2/ and please clear all caches afterwards from the plugin, browser or cdn server if you use it.
Let us know if you still have trouble with it.
2) For the mobile theme you must also assign menus from the menus area of wordpress: http://screencast.com/t/k6dmaQ9CXJ
Thank you!
Some of my posts (Not everyone) are displayed as mobile on desktop mode!
Like this:

If I deactivate tagDiv Mobile Theme Plugin, I resolve it.
If I clear the cache I resolve just for some hours, than it turn as mobile, not as desktop.
Please, how can solve this issue??
Thanks!!
Hi
The top bar was not intent to be deployed on mobile devices, that’s why the menu is hidden. This is defult theme’s implementation and to change it are required some code customization.
This is a complex task which involve many customization in order to be achieved.
We can’t offer speed customization services at the moment so if really need this and you’re not aware of the steps you need to take in this regard please consider hiring a developer or a freelancer to do this for you.
Thanks!
Hi Bogdan!
My site for now testing is http://dailysnark.staging.wpengine.com/ as you can see, just the staging area until I move it to the real site once complete. So ads work but this site is not for the public, just exclusively for staging/testing.
Please if you look at it on mobile you will see the top ad, 728 x 90 is too long.
My ad code is also a script so I do not know how that would work inside of the wrapper you provided.
Thank you for your help!
Hi…I can’t figure out how to get the top menu items in top menu to appear in the Mobile site. They appear fine on desktop. Any help anyone ? Thanks.
Hello,
Recently i purchased the theme but to start the project performed some tests in the mobile version and came across a display issue in the author’s name.
Problem image: http://imgur.com/a/ibMlt
I follow another topic which mentions add this snippet: .td post-author-name div {display: inline; } In the custom theme css, but it did not work with me, still display the error.
Any other suggestions to solve?
Hi,
Let me first say that I love how fast the 7.3 theme is — especially the mobile theme. However, I’m not a huge fan of the paginated smartlist on the mobile theme. Is there a way for me to turn that off and just use the “smartlist 2” version of the smartlist theme?
I’m aware that turning the mobile theme off and using the responsive layout is an option, however, we have very specific reasons for needing to have a completely separate mobile layout from our desktop layout, so I would rather continue using the mobile theme if possible.
1. I have updated the social counter plug in but it shows my Facebook fans as 0 even though I have several fans on my Facebook. URL is correct and checked. http://www.financialthing.com
2. Using the Mobile theme plug in, I tested on my phone and when I click on navigation bar on right side, it says “Click here to use the wp menu builder”. There’s no way to navigate the mobile site? When I click on that message I get a 404 Not Found page
Open any article from this site http://www.gadgetsay.com on your phone you will see the top article ad as subscription there is a wrong css which the line moves to right hand side! See the image you will understand,
Hope you will understood! The problem will of course come on phone because in desktop its floating the css the line to the right side but in mobile its crossing the border of the casual or normal look which is not good for the site visual on phone.
Thanks

Hello,
We recently discovered a flaw in wp super cache and the new version of wordpress. Maybe this could be a reason for the drop as we have found nothing theme related that can affect the traffic: https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-does-not-work-properly/
Give it a try!
Thanks.
Hello,
1) Stretching the logo is a bad idea as it will loose lots of it;s quality .if you want a bigger logo, you will have to create a bigger logo in your photo editor. The theme cannot stretch it and prevent quality loss.
Here is an example of such a logo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_cars/
Here is the size of your logo: http://themidfieldgeneral.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Untitled-design-10.png and here is the size of the cars logo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_cars/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/header-red-contrast.jpg
Here is an example of what happens if I try to stretch the logo: http://screencast.com/t/TKNCnSgWEeV
2) For mobile you are using the mobile theme plugin so there is a special footer location for the m,obile footer menu and the desktop footer menu, Please access the manage locations section of the menu and select menus for each location: http://screencast.com/t/AFl9HaVgM
Thank you!
Hello all,
After several investigations in this regard have concluded that this type of issue come from WP Super cache which is not fully compatible with WordPress 4.6 and that’s why this problem occur. We hope that WP Super cache plugin will be updated it as soon as possible and that problem will be fixed. Notice that this issue appears and on Mobile Theme from Jetpack when the caching plugin is active.
Please notice that we have reported this issue to Jetpack and we are waiting for an update from them. Until that, you should use our workaround posted here -> https://github.com/Automattic/wp-super-cache/issues/132
Thanks for your understanding!
Hi Bogdan! Yes I tried this, but according to a previous post you guys made this does not work with non adsense ads.
I do not use adsense and I tried to force the ad to change size and it did not work. I have long 728 x 90 ad that is on desktop AND mobile, it does not resize correctly on mobile responsive. It is about 40% too long.
There is nothing in that guide I can see that shows me how to change ad sizes for non adsense ads on phone using responsive. This should be possible, no?
Thanks for reply!
I activated the Newspaper theme, and now the WP Admin panel does not display at all. Only a blank white page. The live website will display, but not the admin panel. Same problem on different browsers and also mobile.
Hello,
@both please create new topics if you have a request
@CollectiveM In order to use custom ads please use this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/using-other-ads-non-adsense-ads/
You can choose different ad sizes for each viewport from here:
http://screencast.com/t/EbC7jWX3
The mobile footer ad does not have sizes added to it. All mobile ads are responsive ads as mobile phone screens are very different and a fixed width in a responsive layout will break the design.
Thank you!
