Hello svharishtech,

Please notice that the mobile theme shows only the Big Grid, your desired text added by you from your backend (if you want this) and the latest articles. Please notice that the Big Grid will show you only the post from the Featured category, like this -> http://screencast.com/t/OYpBabWYV Unfortunately. Please notice that another method to filtrate the posts for your mobile theme does not exist at the moment.
For more information about mobile theme, please check the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you for your understanding!

Salut,

;
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({
google_ad_client: "ca-pub-xxxxxxxxxx",
enable_page_level_ads: true
});

Hello svharishtech,

I have checked your website on mobile mode and I saw that the menu is right displayed, as you can see here -> http://screencast.com/t/NKPJ7mN8 Please try to clear all your caches and check again. For more information about our new mobile theme, please consult the documentation here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
Also, for better results, please try to use the theme only with our tested plugins and without any untested plugin to rule out the conflicting plugins.

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes!

Thanks.

Hi,

My mobile menu with icons is displaying strangely (using the mobile theme and default responsive display). I’ve tried removing all custom CSS code and cleared caching, etc. but the problem persists.

Basically, any main menu item that has sub-menu children, displays the icon above the text (screen shot below).

Icon problem

Also, all the sub-men items are misaligned as shown here:

Sub menu display problem

Can you think of anything that would be causing this?

Thanks,
John

Hi,
The mobile version should not display in the desktop version as you can see on our live demo: http://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/.
Please disable all your plugins except visual composer, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Then test your site again and let us know if you still have issues with this.
Thank you!

How can I translate phrases as “follow us” and “about us” on the mobile theme?

Thanx in advance.

1) A child theme is not update proof unfortunately. The files will still have to be replaced and customization re-added if the file itself gets updated in the main theme. Think about it. A file gets updated with new code and you serve the old version from your child theme. It will not work properly. This is the thing about customization there is no update proof way of doing it.
2) Yes, you need to first copy over the child theme folder from the base theme archive and then create the same path for the file you want to customize as the guide shows.
3) + 3a: In that case you simply copy over the file from the root directory into the root directory of the child theme.
4) + 4a i;m not sure exacly what userpro should do as we have not tested it. I cannot provide any blind solution as I’m not sure what it is supposed to tie in. Sorry but we can’t provide any solution for this. In order to add the file to the child them, you need to maintain the file sctructure and create a /parts/header/top-menu.php in the child-theme folder
5) and 6) unfortunately these are untested plugins so we are not sure exactly where to add the code. Unfortunately this represents customization that falls beyond what support can offer you/
7) You can find the list of modified files here: http://tagdiv.com/td_deploy/Newspaper/changed_files_6.6_7.0.html Each of the files on this list were modified.
8) The mobile theme will not be affected by the child theme in the classical way as it uses a different file structure and different files. It will not use the same smartlist files as the desktop version: http://screencast.com/t/8ElxdYM2AlvV
8)a. There are 2 mobile versions now. One is the standard version and one is the mobile theme. Every setting for the mobile theme can be found here: http://screencast.com/t/fGer1I2jJzN6 so settings for the mopbile theme are made here. If you deactivate the mobile theme this panel will disappear.
8)b. I send you an email for it.
9) As I wrote above, you only need to create the file structure replicating the one in the main theme and copy your files there. As a note on the child theme all of the wp-booster folder will not work from the child theme. any modification to files in this folder will have to be made in the main theme.

Thank you!

Hi,

the problem is when you click the icon to find location, it does’t find it. Sofia is default. The location is enabled on PC and GPS on mobile while using Chrome and on both it still says “Please turn on location and try again” and doesn’t find it. I read the documentation. It’s also the same with the widget on your website. As I said in upper post when tested with Firefox it works properly.

Thanks!

Hi

At the moment mobile theme have a fixed layout for category page which display first three posts with a module and next ones with a different module. This implementation can be changed only from code at the moment. The design from desktop category page which includes grids or category styles is not available when the mobile theme is enabled.

Thanks!

Hi,

I have made custom pages using visual composer. But these pages no longer appear in the mobile there. I understand that the mobile theme does not support visual composer.
But is there any way that I show the list of posts from certain category in the mobile pages instead of a blank page.

Hi,
At the moment we did not move anything unless the user chooses to. You can deactivate the mobile theme if it will affect your ads. Unfortunately the mobile theme will have it’s own ads separate from the desktop version.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We cannot say exactly what the future will bring with this mobile theme as we just launched it but we are optimistic it will become a powerful tool.
Thank you!

Hi

I’ve checked your site and now it’s deployed fine on both mobile and desktop: http://screencast.com/t/0gKaChP5mQYHhttp://screencast.com/t/4Y8PIHJ4
If you still need assistance on this please provide more detail and we will get back to you in shortest time.
P.S As a cache plugin we recommend W3 Super Cache, here you can check our documentation: https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/

Thanks!

Hi

I’ve checked your site and found a js error which breaks search feature on mobile devices: http://screencast.com/t/xs7hTuArn
Try to deactivate all plugins except Visual Composer, deactivate the child theme, clear all caches, purge cdn files if you’re using then test again.

Thanks!

The responsiveness in Version 7 works fine on Retina and mobile displays. But on non HD desktops and laptops, the mobile version is displayed. I have tried with both mobile theme and without mobile theme. Is there a way to resolve this?

Hi,
I have checked your site and the privacy poilicy works as expected. If you use the mobile theme, please note that using visual composer will not work anymore on this theme as visual composer was removed for the mobile theme in order to get better speeds. Please use the secondarry mce editor that appears on every page to create your pages for mobile without the use of visual composer.

Hi,

The mobile theme will not show the elements on the desktop by default. It consists of 2 elements, a big grid that shows featured posts (they must belong to the predefined ‘featured’ category) and a latest articles section where your latest posts are shown. It;s pretty much like a category archive in order to get maximum page speed on mobile devices. It does not use visual composer at all.
Please make sure you have posts on your site so it has posts to display. (your site has no ‘posts’ only instagram widgets)
You can read more about the mobile theme here: https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/

Thank you

Hi there,

First of all, please accept my apologies all of these.

Please allow me to ask a few things about customization of the new Newspaper version 7.0.

1. Since I am doing some customization on my site and based on what I had read on the documentation and on your rules that any update of the Theme we should try again to re-implement the code for our customization, so I decided instead of doing that again and again is to add the Child Theme, that any update of the Theme still the customization of site will be there right? Please advise if this the best option? Hope it will.

2. (If Serial 1 is not the best option, leave this.) Please advise if this is correct to Add a Child Theme via FTP I will just add the Folder “Newspaper-child” located in /code folder? base on this Tutorial Link to add it under “wp-content/themes” right? by just dragging it via FTP? same on this Image Link.

3. Author Box Card replace it with USERPRO shortcode.
Filename:
/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/loop-single-12.php – this is my style number

ShortCode to add:
<?php echo do_shortcode('[userpro template=card user=author]');?>

Original String Structure:

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_social_sharing_bottom();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_next_prev_posts();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_author_box();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_item_scope_meta();?>
</footer>

Modified String Structure: Please advise if this is correct syntax code?

<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_social_sharing_bottom();?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_next_prev_posts();?>
<?php echo do_shortcode('[userpro template=card user=author]');?>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->get_item_scope_meta();?>
</footer>

3.a. If I am using a Child Theme I just copy the Filename then create a directory structure path in the child theme as in the theme and paste the Filename based on this Tutorial Link aight?

4. Sign In/Join Desktop view popup version using USERPRO shortcode
Filename: wp-content/themes/Newspaper/parts/header/top-menu.php

ShortCode to add:

<div class="td-login-wrap">
' . do_shortcode('[userpro template=login]') . '

Original String Structure:

//<span class="td-sp-ico-logout"></span>
echo '<ul class="top-header-menu td_ul_logout">
<li class="menu-item">' .
get_avatar($current_user->ID, 20) . 'ID) . '" class="td_user_logd_in">' . $current_user->display_name . '' .
'
<li class="menu-item">
<i class="td-icon-logout"></i>' . __td('Logout', TD_THEME_NAME) . '

';
} else {

echo '<ul class="top-header-menu td_ul_login"><li class="menu-item">' . __td('Sign in / Join', TD_THEME_NAME) . '<span class="td-sp-ico-login td_sp_login_ico_style"></span>';
}
}//end login window

Modified String Structure:

Please advise how to add the correct syntax code.

4.a. Same on Serial 3.a. question.

5. Sign In/Join Mobile View using USERPRO shortcode
Filename:
Please advise where to modify it?

ShortCode to add:
Please advise the correct syntax code for this.

' . do_shortcode('[userpro template=login]') . '

Original String Structure:

Please advise where to modify it?

Modified String Structure:

Please advise how to add the correct syntax code.

5.a. Same on Serial 3.a. question.

6. FB Comments instead of WP comments
Filename:
wp-content/themes/Newspaper/header.php
wp-content/themes/Newspaper/loop-single-12.php

ShortCode to add:
header.php

<div id=”fb-root”></div>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
if (d.getElementById(id)) return;

loop-single-12.php

<div class="fb-comments" data-href="<?php echo get_permalink($td_mod_single->post->ID); ?>" data-width="100%" data-numposts="5"></div>

</footer>

<?php echo $td_mod_single->related_posts();?>

<?php
} else {

echo td_page_generator::no_posts();
}

<div class="fb-comments" data-href="<?php echo get_permalink($td_mod_single->post->ID); ?>" data-width="100%" data-numposts="5"></div>
<?php echo $td_mod_single->related_posts();?>

<?php
} else {
//no posts
echo td_page_generator::no_posts();
}

6.a. Same on Serial 3.a. question.

7. If there is a new update of the Theme like for example: header.php as we added a Custom Code on version 6.x.x has 92 Lines + 2 Lines on our Custom Code both on Main Theme and Child Theme then a new update came version 7.0 header.php has 98 Lines, since our Child Theme had originally 92 Lines, are we going to update also our Child Theme structure based on the latest one from 92 Lines to 98 Lines then + 2 Lines on our Custom code?

8. Mobile Theme Plugin – if I install this plugin would the Child Theme modification will reflect to this? I mean I made changes in Serial 3, 5 and 6 will it reflect also? Please advise.

8.a. Whats the difference between Theme Panel background color for mobile vs Mobile Theme Plugin Settings background color? Which one should I make the changes if this Plugin is installed?

8.b. Gradient color – may I ask the exact hex number of this color? Link Here

9. Am I allowed to create directory structure and add the following filename on the Child Theme incase all of the above are possible to my site.

>loop-single-12.php
>top-menu.php
>For Serial 5 filename
>header.php

I have sent my Login Credentials via mail incase you may need it with the same Subject here.

Hi,
The related articles seem to have a filtering problem so we will release a fix for it in the near future.
We will look into the mozilla issue on mobile as well. We saw that it does not handle the transition well.
As for the footer copyright, I tested it again and it seems to work as expected. Simply add the html a tag in the field.
Thank you!
