They say to deactivate all your plugins, clear your cache and CDN files, and then go into the Theme Panel and click on the Save Settings button.

I tried all these options and it didn’t work. The only way I was able to make it work was by hiding it via CSS. That purple gradient is actually the Mobile Menu background.

Here is the CSS code that I used to hide that background on the Desktop and Tablet versions of the site, while still having it show for Mobile Phones.

If using a Child theme or editing the main theme, place that CSS at the very bottom of the Stylesheet (style.css). Again, this was the only way I was able to remove it while still allowing it to work on phones. Hope this helps you.

ps: same with SEARCH in Mobile-Theme-Header – it should be “Suche” in German.

no, its not like you wrote. theme panel-translations take no effect on the new mobile theme!

in translations i wrote a translation for “About us” in German “Über uns” – but in mobile theme on smartphone it is still “ABOUT US”.
Also no translationoption for: Latest Articles, Contact us and Follow us (in Footer).

would be nice, if i could handle the translation with theme-panel ->translation… 🙂

The problem is confirmed.

Worked for me:

1. Enable mobile plugin.

2. Try manually overwrite the language strings of translation in Theme panel – Translations and Save settings.

where i can get mobile theme plugin ?

Yes but when a business has sold ads itself – customers have paid for them to show on mobile site – so I can’t use the mobile site unless the positions are the same exactly as the desktop site – it’s a step too far unless these options can be given.

It’s ok for google ads etc but not for a independent news website – will just leave it switched off which is a shame but not end of world ?

I understand, but even I set the mobile ads, the visual composer code will still show and it docent look so hot

For me it docent matter anymore, as I was trying to migrate from newsmag (planned to buy licence after i was sure i wanted to keep it for this site) but I decided to revert because click to rate doped 1.8% witch makes a big difference for me. Do you guys Plan to revamp newsmag as well? The lists in newsmag converyed way better than the lists in newspapper it seams, so for now i am staying.

Still I have to say that with newspapper 7 site was looking amazing! hopefully you guys put newsmag at the same level soon.

Într-adevăr problema era cauzată de Wordfence. Am urmat pașii și s-a rezolvat. În ceea ce privește tema mobilă, am înțeles.

Aș dori totuși să mai adaug câteva nelămuriri:

2. Cum pot face ca Article Top Ad să nu mai fie afișată atunci când am configurat deja reclamă pentru Post Style 1, 12 și 13. Este aiurea să apară reclama de două ori.
3. Ce font folosește Mobile Theme, pentru că aș dori să îl configurez și pentru versiunea desktop?

De asemenea, vă rog să luați în considerare pentru viitoarele versiuni:

1. Afișarea în Social Counter a newsletterului (cu compatibilitate pentru Feedburner, Mailchimp, etc.) și eventual a unor butoane pentru descărcarea aplicațiilor, acolo unde este cazul, pentru iOS și Android.
2. Compatibilitatea temei cu Disqus
3. Recunoașterea, în System Status, a Wordfence ca modalitate de cache (prin Falcon Engine)
4. Specificarea dimensiunilor pentru logouri în Theme Panel
5. Îmbunătățiri în privința afișării reclamelor pentru unele stiluri de articole (mai ales la Style 1)

Hi,
I did that and also deleted theme and mobile plugin settings from database. after that i did a clean install and the issue still exists. this issue didn’t appear in the old version of the theme. I don’t think it’s because of the RTL content.

Unfortunately no luck.

I have disabled ALL but your plugins,
I cleared the server cache, restarted the server (nginx+ redis + hhvm)
Installed new chrome dev browser (Google Nexus 6P) to check and the following STRINGS appear in English language instead of GERMAN:
– ABOUT US
– FOLLOW US
– LATEST ARTICLES

Other language strings are okay, meaning the translation appears. When the mobile plugin is disabled, the above mentioned languages strings are okay.
On the other hand if it is only my specific problem and not a theme BUG I will try to solve it on my own.

Actually, it looks like in the above example, the READ MORE button link ONLY appears on MOBILE. Not on desktop! hmmmm….

No 🙁 i am going to delete the mobile plugin, there is no way to use it propliy.

To update – all is well with the update now – but the mobile theme strips ads out – because they’re not Google Ads they are sold by myself to local businesses is there a way to use the mobile theme with the ads still there?

Happy either way but would be good to know – already lost native ads on AMP AND Facebook Instant Articles and so have to show them on the mobile version of the site – if not will switch it off but would be good to get speed benefits.

Thanks for your reply. So this is not a bug, this is really about the behavior of mobile themes.
My conclusion, if I have a site with multiple pages would be better if I do not use mobile themes Plugin, right?

If I may suggestion: Can we have more options for where and when the mobile theme to be displayed? For example: Use mobile theme for the types of posts, Use mobile theme for the types of pages, etc. IMHO
