@Ecofame there is a lot of bad in removing every single white space from ur site,it’s bad for “User Experience” on tablets & phones,it’s hard on the user to tap on things if they very close together and that’s one of the things google pagespeed always warns people about don’t make things too close to each other because it’s not good for “User Experience” from mobile devices…

It’s good to remove some white space like what i done too my site,but ur asking to remove it all from the front page then when someone visit ur site from a phone and say they have big fingers it will be a nightmare for them to even browse ur site from there phone..just one of my tips i’m passing on too you…

The most important plugins you need to even get this close to getting those scores..as follow

1.tagDiv speed booster

2.Speedbooster Pack Plugin (Don’t use the feature Disable all above CSS options on mobile devices) all the other features can be use but it all depends on ur site.

3.WP Super Cache Plugin this work better with the theme and don’t cause any issues with the theme code.

4. Optimize Database Plugin http://wordpress.org/plugins/rvg-optimize-database/

5.EWWW Image Optimizer Plugin

6.CloudFlare Go to “performance settings tab” and make sure you choose every thing in there…

A.CDN & Full optimizations

B.Simplified

C.Rocket LoaderThis play a very big important role in ur google pagespeed test as well make sure it’ turn on..

D.Auto Minify (JS,CSS,HTML)

E.Minimum expire TTL Make sure it’s set to 5 days not more are less..

Because my post is about removing the “render-blocking CSS and JS files”from google pagespeed test…

I’ll like too show you my results that you can see all my tips in this post work and if you take them and use them in the right way, I sure think you will get the 95% score like me as well…here is some more screen shots of my results to let you know what will give you that 95% score for mobile and desktop..

My hard work has pay off my google score is very nice…

Also just a comment, but this method of click/tap to expand search is quickly becoming a standard on the web and specifically mobile devices.

You will see this on the YouTube site on mobile, TIME magazine on desktop and mobile, New York Times on desktop and mobile, NBCnews.com, hundreds more as they do revamp for mobile, often based on Bootstrap or similar grid/masonry layouts, etc.

I only mention this as a “trend” and the reason why Radu and co did it this way. It wasn’t a unique design choice, but the way things are going as folks move more to a “mobile first” layout (sigh).

Now it looks good and I like it. As you can see there is little problem that is margin from the left and the space between the header and block slide.
When I checked how the site apears on mobile the margin left problem seem clear.

This is what i did. I put all the css codes together, changed px values, copied all of them and pasted in theme panels costom css area.

..just disabling the Minify cache was enough.

Yes, it’s useful to read the documentation which outlines bow to use W3cache with this theme, if you didn’t already review the thin how-to info:

It definitely does work; a large number of us use it 🙂

The most common reason I’ve heard for the result you’re describing is that you have minifying CSS and/or JS turned on in W3 Total Cache. Not all themes play well with minifying.

@mehedi agreed that it’s not ideal, but I thought since on mobile and tablets the footer gets vertically stacked, is there much whitespace to worry about from the empty columns? If so you could maybe use nth-child to hide those columns altogether:
