There are three options in Theme Panel→Mobile theme→Mobile settings(Use mobile theme for). You can choose between Mobile, AMP + Mobile, AMP.
1 Mobile – The visitor will see mobile theme version when they use your website on a mobile device, the amp version uses default amp theme provided by the amp plugin.
2 Mobile + AMP – The visitor using mobile devices will see the mobile theme version, but the AMP articles will also use the mobile theme.
3 AMP – The visitors using mobile devices will see the desktop responsive version but the amp version will show them mobile theme
I have enabled option 3.
I only use AMP for articles.
For homepage, about page, contact page, archives and all the other content, I wanted to display full website so I chose option 3 which will only show mobile theme to amp version.
Now, I can see a button at the bottom called Exit Mobile Version. It’s very useful. Because visitors can choose to see the non-amp version of the article. But it’s not working.
Hello @prateek!
When you have the mobile theme plugin installed and activated, it will overwrite the responsive version for mobile.
You cannot choose when the mobile theme should work on your website.
Thank you!
This is my setting.
I have installed the mobile theme plugins as well as the AMP plugin. But I am only using mobile theme for the AMP site. For normal pages, I am using desktop responsive version for mobile.
In AMP plugin settings, the redirect mobile visitors to AMP is turned off already.
Hello!
I’m sorry, but I can only see this page looking like this: https://prnt.sc/VGMx8qQ931dv
Have you activated the Mobile theme plugin?
Thank you!
Hello @satyajit3097 !
The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin.
From my point of view, if you don’t use the Mobile Theme plugin, then there is no reason or benefit to AMP.
Thank you!
Hello @prateek!
I’m sorry, but you can not have the option and also to disable that button which appears there. The AMP only works better with the Mobile Theme plugin.
Thank you!
Hello,
For mobile theme + Amp the content need to be added in Mobile Editor -> https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH
Please check this topic where I explained each mobile version -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-version-not-working-properly-2/ and choose what mobile version you want.
Thank you!
Hi, Bettina.
As per your direction, I have uninstall the Mobile Theme Plugin to show Ads in the inline content of mobile version. But, new problem has been raised i.e. URL is available to Google, but has issues – AMP page is invalid.
I have also observed that after creating mobile page using cloud library templates, a number of issues has been raised like 1) All pages setting has been changed for mobile view 2) Mobile Home page changed, 3) AMP issues created
What to Do ?

Hello,
Please disable the mobile theme plugin, clear all cache, and after will be displayed the mobile version that you created.
Thank you!
Hello,
Please check this topic https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/mobile-theme-duplicate-titles-missing-categories-category-tag-colour/
Thank you!
As you can see from the screens, the desktop theme has been modified for mobile but as you can see mobile loads another theme that I don’t know where it comes from. In fact, as soon as I enter the site on mobile, it shows how I created it, but then after accepting the cookies and then the subsequent page refresh, I see that mobile theme that I don’t know where it came from since, as you can see, the same desktop theme is also for mobile. So tell me the procedure to adopt to use the desktop theme also for mobile based on my problem. Thank you.
Hello, I understand. So I would like to use the same desktop theme as the mobile theme, what procedure should I follow and how should I do it since I purchased your product and I have been looking for assistance for weeks, so now I would like to solve the problem as soon as possible. Thank you.
Hello @f5guru !
That is a block from the homepage, I guess.
We have 3 options for mobile versions that you can use:
1. Responsive version: A responsive version of your website looks similar to the desktop version. TagDiv Composer is used to edit the page. Click on the mobile viewport: https://www.screencast.com/t/XDQJedlggSB. There, you can see your mobile version and edit or adjust the elements to look better.
2. Mobile pages: https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages
3. Mobile theme plugin: The Mobile Theme is a performance-optimized theme included in the main Newspaper theme that only loads on mobile devices. It comes with its own templates and designs for pages, posts, categories, etc., so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout. Please see https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ and https://forum.tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-introduction/ for more information.
A full explanation is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
Unfortunately, you cannot customize the elements with the TagDiv Composer if you use the Mobile theme plugin. Maybe with a custom CSS: https://forum.tagdiv.com/create-custom-code-using-the-browsers-inspector/
If you want to use the responsive version or a mobile page as described above at points 1 and 2, then you need to uninstall the Mobile theme plugin.
Thank you!
Hello,
Unfortunately, no.
You can change the order, only if you use the mobile page or a mobile responsive version; for mobile theme + AMP, you can’t customize it as you want.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hello,
Is there a way to change the order of items in the mobile theme? Right now, it’s breadcrumbs (I’ve disabled it on my site), category blocks, title, subtitle, author, image, share, article.
I’d like it so image is the first thing that appears, then title, subtitle, author, category block, share, article.
Here is the link: https://collegefootballnetwork.com/top-tight-ends-impact-true-freshman-2023/?amp=1
I imagine I would need to edit the actual theme file but don’t know where to find it.
Thanks!
Hi,
The social icons from Theme Panel, are for the mobile version/mobile theme and for users that have an older version, with settings from Theme Panel.
Thank you!
Hi,
Using our theme you can choose from 3 mobile versions
-> mobile responsive => https://www.screencast.com/t/oJ2ShOp47
-> mobile theme plugin => https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/
-> mobile page => https://tagdiv.com/newspaper-10-3-7-update-brings-customizable-and-fast-mobile-pages/
If you created the mobile pages with tagDiv Composer, then when you install the Mobile Theme plugin, your pages will be overwritten by the plugin (the mobile theme comes with its templates for page, post, category, etc so your current templates from the desktop theme will get converted to the mobile theme layout, the page content is made without builders in mobile editor => https://www.screencast.com/t/xbgZG8kH also, the options that are provided to edit the mobile theme version are limited (this keeps the things simple)).
This is a video about Responsive Newspaper Theme, AMP & Mobile Theme, Mobile Pages & Templates -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SpGkOnJeNZY
So, the mobile responsive is what you see then that you select the viewport on phone => https://www.screencast.com/t/matV17hH, so some settings may apply for each viewport(where is the border blue), and others are not(where the border is black).
The mobile page has the mobile templates from Cloud Library => https://www.screencast.com/t/YCcZ8rL8
Mobile responsive version of the theme and the mobile page editor can be edit with tagDiv Composer, the mobile theme plugin not.
For example, you can have the mobile theme plugin activate and use the mobile page/mobile responsive version for the homepage/pages, but for the categories pages/404 page you can’t use the mobile page/mobile responsive version if you have the mobile theme plugin activate.
So, if you want to design the pages with tagDiv Composer, you can use the mobile page or mobile responsive version.
Thank you!
Hi,
I’m using the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin, and from the desktop home page I created the mobile page (by clicking on the Mobile Page button at the top and selecting Create Blank Mobile Page). But even if I modify it with the TagDiv Composer (I open it using the green pencil near the name of the Mobile page), I still see the mobile page as always, without the graphic changes being displayed.
How do I link the Mobile page to the desktop version to have it displayed every time I open it on my smartphone?
Hi Calin,
Thanks for getting back to me..
Is it possible then to HIDE the mobile logo, search and menu icon from the top of the mobile version so i can use a plugin that adds there own?
Lea.
Hi,
Unfortunately, this is possible only if you are using the mobile theme plugin – https://tagdiv.com/mobile-theme-get-mobile-ready-with-newsmag-theme/
Thank you!

If I uninstall Ad Inserter Plugin then How To Insert Ads in every where like after paragraph 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and so on. I think Newpaper Theme don’t have such type of facility. I am also little bit confusion about which Ads will place specially for mobile Ads. HTML ad unit code or AMP ad unit code.

I have successfully uninstall Mobile theme plugin from Newspaper. But still Google Ads not show in the inline content of mobile version. While I have already placed Google Ads in every where i.e. Single Post Content – Article Inline AD1, Article Inline AD2, Article Inline AD3 and Ad Inserter Plugin.
