Hello !
Please try using another device, we have tested this on our mobile devices, iOS & Android + on the mobile emulator and everything works fine.
Thank you !
Vlad,
Few things:
1. So apparently, in order to active the articles Ads; if you are using a template for your posts, you can activate it only from the composer. Theme panel would not work whatsoever. (FYI only).
2. Do you maybe know why when I running my post: post_url/?amp it doesn’t show ads? I’m asking because I see in the mobile-theme-panel AMP ADS and I wonder what exactly is it? and how can I test it?
3. What is Loop and what are Loop Ads?
4. While using the smart-list; what/how is the difference between inline ads and smart-list ads? how can I test it?
5. While running on Mobile, I’m getting an additional floating ad: https://imgur.com/a/3tfvf84 how can I fix its margin to it stick somewhere rather interfere with user experience?
Many thanks for your answers.
Hey Guys.
Using the latest version of Newspaper (10.3.5) and I can see the codeblock for mobile theme YouTube playlists keeps throwing an error.
‘There has been a critical error on your website.’ – Learn more about debugging etc…
If I remove the playlist the page displays as normal.
Here is what one of the code blocks looks like.
[td_block_video_youtube playlist_title=”Learn After Effects” playlist_yt=”REL4tfQxPjA, cNFUvJsvCSA, 6MEU7Q7tczg, j71DfLFBQ2Y, caClwVxmqeE, jC3PdPKW4tM, 7qzH89Skq4c, 3AoPw1ckWnQ, FMrV6rPOlJY, ESXsNA21SxM” playlist_auto_play=”0″]
Thanks
Liam
Nah man!
That’s not even nearly good.
1: I don’t want “Here are the results for the search:” text and “VIEW ALL RESULTS” button either. But they’re still there but only on the amp.
Now you’d say that’s impossible because that button is used to view the results. Right?
It doesn’t freakin work with Go or Search button on user’s phone keyboard. Right?
But why? Why am I not able to search articles pressing the Search or Go button on my phone’s keyboard?
What if I want to delete that ugly “VIEW ALL RESULTS” button? And I want that deleted.
2: Another problem that you ignored perhaps due to ignorance. This time I will write that with emphasis so you get that completely into your head:â
WHEN. WE. TYPE. A. LETTER. IN. SEARCH. BAR. IT. SENDS. AJAX. REQUEST(GET). TO. THE. SERVER. TO. GET. RESULTS.
The above problem not only happens when we type but also when we change cursor position(only mobile not amp).
I checked that on desktop with inspect elements using arrow keys.
This is a waste of server resources and put extra load on it. I don’t want any ajax results to show, so it should not send any request.
Problem 1 is only with mobile theme. Problem 2 is with both amp and mobile theme.
Here’s a screenshot for text and button, and for the ajax requests.
Also Note: In mobile theme every time we type or change cursor position, request is sent but on amp theme if you type 5 letters quickly at once it will only send 1 request and 5 if type them slowly with a difference of 1 second or perhaps even less.
So if after typing 5 letters rapidl, if you type one more letter it will send one more request totalling 2.
The change in cursor position sends request only on mobile not amp. To test this, open inspect element and render mobile theme. Open networks tab in inspect window(it could be different for macOS), you will see when you type in search bar a request is sent and when you change cursor with arrow keys, another request is sent. That’s a lot of complaints.. Hope you have a solution.
Please show this to developers and tell them to buy a good course from Coursera. Udacity is also good.
Have a nice day,
You do a great job.
Pratiek.
I am trying to change the logo “UK London News” but I can’t find any way to do it. Having spend a whole 10 hours just trying to change this I can’t afford to waste any more time; please advise!!!!!!
I have changed the text in cloud templates for the footer and header.
I have updated site identity in wordpress.
I have uploaded all logo sizes and configuration in Newspaper Header and Mobile Header.
I have cleared all server caches and even switched caching off completely.
I have cleared all browser caches.
On the desktop all is ok. But on mobile I either get the UK London News Logo or both UK London News and my own logo side by side. WHERE IS THIS TEXT/LOGO COMING FROM?
Edit 2: found it! Ubuntu is a google font and I just recalled a setting I changed in the autoptimise plugin based on some recommendations and the setting was to remove google fonts, once I selected “leave as is” my fonts appeared on mobile phone and ipad, the only reason I saw it appearing on my desktop was probably because that font is installed on my pc. I”m getting good at this problem solving, maybe I should join your team, haha.

Hi,
I just checked your website and for me this is working on mobile -> https://i.imgur.com/B00A0Vl.png -> https://i.imgur.com/fwc6T6X.png
Please provide some more details if the problem still persists and some screenshots.
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately there is no option for this in our theme, sorry for the inconvenience!
You can try the mobile theme plugin, there will be some difference, but not very big.
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Using the mobile theme plugin, youâll gain a better speed then responsive version of theme, but in order to achieve that speed youâll need to create a new content for pages because in the most of cases those were made with builders ( tagDiv Composer, WPBakery ) and you need to use only the mobile editor ( you need to set the content for pages in mobile editor and this content will be display on mobile theme)
-> https://i.imgur.com/9d0UWLT.png
Also you can show the responsive version on mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/m0bVB5T.png you can check more details about mobile theme in our documentation -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-mobile-theme/ or if you want to have the responsive version only, you can use the amp option from mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/oofST3D.png (to use the mobile theme template on amp) or you can disable the plugin.
Thank you!
Hi Renu Bakshi,
The auto amp ads will be display only on amp, but you can still set ad in mobile them and these will be display too -> https://i.imgur.com/kwgVh65.png (the ads will be display on amp because both are using the same template).
Usually google choose how many auto ads to display and this usually depends on the length of your posts.
Thank you!
Hi,
You can find the option in Theme panel>Theme fonts> Google Fonts Styles -> https://i.imgur.com/PetIPth.png usually this option is used when you are loading your own fonts.
This option is global for entire website (mobile theme too).
Here is a documentation for fonts -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/font-customization/
Thank you!
Thank you.
The original issue is stemmed from our current header, which is why I thought about using the cloud header to try and clean up the issues we have with the header in general… Our actual header problems can be seen here: https://www.equipmentjournal.com/
Issue we have:
1. when viewing in tablet, the header doesn’t collapse properly. the header ad stays in an awkward position. We would like to fix that.
2. When viewing in mobile, our brand logo is gone from the header, and all that appears is the header ad.
Thank you.
Update: For anyone else having this issue, it turned out to be an inefficiency in the tablet version of the Home Page designed with TD Designer.
Like I said above, my website worked on all devices and all browsers except for the Mobile (tablet version) Site in Chrome on my iPad Tablet – the desktop version of the same site worked without issue.
Also, pages and posts could be viewed fine in Chrome on iPad using the Mobile (Tablet) version, just not the home page.
So to work around this bug in TD Composer, I disabled some of my picture ads when viewed on a Tablet in the Mobile/Tablet browser, and now my mobile/tablet homepage loads in chrome on the iPad.
At this point I’m going to investigate moving away from TD Composer to one of the new designs since this is the only site I use it on (and the only site that had this issue)
Hope this helps someone!
Shawn

Hi, Looks like it was the solution. Mobile search box is working again. BUT ajax request means more resources? So there is any other way if we can disable live search without that sliding animation of the search box?
Hi,
Unfortunately the newsletter plugin can not be set in mobile theme plugin, this can be set only with tagDiv Composer on pages and cloud templates.
As a work around you can you can set the code for Mailchimp in mobile theme here -> https://i.imgur.com/Yx3sRPJ.png
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
I think that you have the live search option disable in newspaper > mobile theme -> https://i.imgur.com/49qRQUr.png this will display a standard search ( this will display the latest articles too until you insert and search for something).
If there is still a problem let me know!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
Unfortunately we ca not say who this will work, but if you find the right setting then should work without problems, usually the problems appear when these plugins mix the cache from mobile theme with the one from desktop, but most of plugins has some settings to fix this, you just need to find them.
For example in our guide for WP Super Cache -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/cache-plugin-install-and-configure/ -> https://i.imgur.com/0Ne8G9a.png -> https://i.imgur.com/ZWYyy99.png
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme plugin, then the code need to be set in the mobile functions.php the file path is wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/functions.php
Hope this will help you!
Thank you !
Hi,
In order to remove the stycky from mobile you need to go in wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/js/tagdiv_theme.min.js and search for tdAffix.init(“td-header-wrap”) this need to be comment like this -> https://i.imgur.com/EK2EIXq.png the the sticky from mobile theme will be remove, but I do not think that the problem is from there.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Super not helpful đ
Since my site works on all browsers and all devices except chrome on iPad, I was hoping for some specific “Tablet mobile theme” help.
Granted, you may not own a iPad, but you could at least of provided a suggestion that would help me debug the iPad issue.
Instead, you’ve offered generic help for 503 errors.
Not helpful at all, but hey – you got to “copy and paste” a generic reply and cross my issue off your list – hooray for you!
Shawn
I have set the themefont to “ubuntu” as default for everything on the website, the font is visible on desktop but on android mobile phone and ipad I get a other standard font. I have set the fonts inside my cloud templates all to ubuntu and just changed the default font in the themepanels themefont to ubuntu as well. I even disabled the load of the default fonts used by the theme (Open Sans and Roboto) but nothing changes. Any idea how I can get the right font to show on tablet and mobile phone? Thx!
Hello, I just bought newspaper theme two days ago, and I love it!
There is only one problem. My website (exactlyfitness.com) works perfectly on desktop but on mobile, it doesnât, the tagDiv Mobile Theme doesnât work at all on mobile. For example, I have a sidebar and other things I added to Home (Accueil), I see them only on desktop, but not on mobile, Also I choose a specific share on social media buttons, they appear the style I want only in desktop. Same for video lazyloading and pause while another video is playing, they work only in desktop.
And When I deactivate Mobile theme plugin, everything works as it should be on mobile, but I lose the customisation I made on mobile like header and colorsâŠ
Hi,
That modules are from mega menu -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/mega-menu/ unfortunately for the moment there are not some many settings for this element, if you are using a cloud header from tagDiv Cloud Library, then you can edit the layout using tagDiv Composer.
The mobile layout can be adjusted by setting the mobile viewport -> https://i.imgur.com/wtl2CxM.png and just edit the elements you want -> https://i.imgur.com/loB7F89.png (this will be display a little different because the mobile device are usually using a smaller resolution).
Thank you!
Can you tell me why this page isn’t rendering correctly on mobile, just producing a narrow irregular column? https://jazzjournal.co.uk/2019/06/28/bright-dog-red-means-to-the-ends/
I used a 3-column row with columns widths at 28%, 52%, 20%, imitating the layout of the top row of the front page of the site, which reduces fine for mobile.
I see Gossip Pro 67 has the similar idea but no problem on mobile.
Thanks
Mark Gilbert
Hi,
For this you need to use in css the id of the post/article and the code should look like this -> https://i.imgur.com/w3TtVRo.png the post id can be get from inside the article -> https://i.imgur.com/FzWEg9F.png
The code need to be set in theme panel > custom code> custom css and for mobile theme in theme panel> mobile theme> custom code> css.
If the code is not working you can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the post where you want to remove this button and include a link to this topic in the email.
Thank you!
